This was my first experience using this facility and I went on a Sunday afternoon. I have been a nurse for over twenty years, but did not disclose my line of work until the end of visit. I received reasonably prompt service considering that it was a Sunday in flu season. The lady who did my vitals (she is a respiratory therapist, but I cannot remember her name) and history was curteous & friendly, efficient, and seemed very knowledgeable. Once I was in the room the nurse practioner came in pretty quickly and the assessment seemed thorough for my complaint. When I went for a few x-rays the RT explained that she would call the results to me later in the evening (which she did about an hour or so after I was home). I received an steroid injection for pain and the RT did a great job and provided good instructions. The facility was extremely clean. The biggest draw back that I think really needs addressing is discharge instructions. I am a nurse, but I was in a lot of pain and it is hard to remember instructions when you are in discomfort. Having a sheet with home care information would be super important for folks not in the medical field. I knew pretty much what to do and meds to take, but all I know about the medication I received there is that it was a "steroid" shot. I am glad that I went there and feel like the care was good.

If you are sick and need a check-up, do NOT come here. I came here because I had flu-like symptoms and did not have a primary care doctor. I was the 1st patient there and I had to wait over an hour in the check-up room with a 100 degree fever and severe body aches. Some girl came in and took my blood? Not sure why they needed that, but I def got charged for it. They also didnt have rapid flu-tests, but the doctor prescribed me tamiflu anyway. She sent a mucus sample to some lab that took over a week to get my results. Then they told me that I had to come BACK in to get the results, which would have resulted in another $100 office visit charge. The lab charged me over $500 for these results. I tried to cancel the lab tests but the receptionsit was not helpful at all and acted like she had no idea what was going on. The doctor also prescribed me 4 other medications that I did not need. All the medicine was over $200. So, I pretty much paid $1,000 for having the flu.

I cant stand my PCP (for reasons I wont get into here), and have been avoiding getting medical attention for weeks. This past Saturday, upon seeing my rapidly declining condition, my boyfriend rushed me to First Stop Urgent Care on E. Broadway. My BF called the office while we were in route, to confirm office hours and to make sure I could be seen. The receptionist (sorry, I didnt catch your name) was warm and welcoming, and quickly assisted me through the paperwork upon arrival. I was seen in under 15 minutes!!! Im not sure what to say about Lyndsay and Elma, other than the treatment they gave me was extraordinary, and they both went over and beyond anything I could have expected. My condition turned for the better almost immediately, and my post care instructions were clear and concise. First Stop Urgent Care, will be my only stop from now on... Thanks to these lovely, caring, and knowledgeable ladies. ~Cheers <3

The WORST. Dont even bother. I came as a walk-in patient because theyre open later than other walk-in clinics. I was seen by a Physicians Assistant who had NO idea what he was doing- Didnt send me with orders or ANY paperwork for my stool sample, telling me to eat yogurt for a suspected bacterial infection and white toast for a suspected parasite infection, and prescribed me a $2000 anti-parasitic knowing I had no insurance (dairy is terrible for bacterial infections, processed sugars only feed parasites). I returned 3 times during their hours trying to drop off my stool sample- First Stop Urgent Care closed early all three times. Then I asked the front desk to call the lab I had dropped my sample off with so that the First Stop could tell me my results and the lady called the wrong Kentucky One Lab and was basically refusing to call the right place. Utterly horrible experience. DO NOT GO HERE!!

I was absolutely blown away by the quality of care at First Stop Urgent Care. I am new to the Louisville area, and do not have a family doctor. I had had a negative experience in the past at an urgent care center, where I felt like the doctor quickly wrote me a prescription and shuffled me out the door, not taking time to really understand my symptoms. This experience was the complete opposite. The nurses and staff were extremely personable and helpful. Dr. Miller is truly gifted and makes you feel important and at ease. She is extremely thorough and has followed up post-treatment over the phone to make sure I am on track with my recovery. I will be returning for a follow-up appointment, and would definitely go again if needed in the future. Probably the best medical service Ive ever had.

This was my first time visit. Really nice people and very prompt. I was lucky that it wasnt busy and I was in and out quickly. I was having symptoms of strep throat, and they pricked my finger to test my white blood cell count and swabbed for a strep test. The strep test came back negative, but they were certain it was that and just a different strain. I really appreciate them taking the time to explain that to me. The ladies were very patient and kind. The APRN, Omega Savage, was professional, sweet and relaxed. I had no copay, whereas previously, the Little Clinic sent me a bill for almost $100 for fewer services. YAY. I would recommend coming here.

Could not be happier with the care my daughter received here. My autistic daughter had been ill for 3 days. I was convinced it was an infection of some sort when her temp would not break. Took her here as it is close to home and it was approaching 6 pm . O. Savage the nurse practitioner was awesome. So kind and caring to my daughters special needs as was all the staff. No long wait times , caring attitude and completely professional. I would definitely recommend. Thanks so much for your kindness to an exhausted mom and her angel!!!

Terrible experience. Went for a laceration. I was hoping to have the wound closed with a tissue adhesive glue. The physician said, "You need the glue, but we dont have it here." How can you not have that?! Its an urgent care center, and were talking about basics here! So, literally, paid $70 for a BANDAID. In other words, DONT GO HERE. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO THE EAST END OR UNIVERSITY.

Staff was friendly and helpful the entire time. I am from out of state but am a student living here in lousiville so just the idea of having out of state insurance kinda terrified me. They were very helpful and accomodating. It was also the first time I had ever had my blood drawn and my nurse did a marvelous job! I would definitely recommend! Yall were so helpful!

Call first before going here. I am visiting from out of town and walked over to this location at 11am only to find that they were closed despite the fact that the hours on the door clearly state that they should be open today (Sunday from 9AM - 9PM). I attempted to call the number on the door and hung up after the 15 ring. Guess Ill find someplace else...
