Sports Medicine and its associated practitioners with whom I have dealt, in my opinion, are uniformly world-class. I have had only outstanding and exemplary medical care from my doctors there, including Steven Mattheos, M.D., Jonathan A. Uroskie, M.D., Bojan B. Zoric, M.D., Robert Wood, M.D. Joseph J. Evans, D.O. and Benjamin J. Schwartz, M.D., who saw my mother-in-law for her own orthopedic issues. I think of myself as an enlightened, educated medical advocate for myself. I have found all the physicians with whom I have dealt to be superlative medical technicians’/practitioners as well as displaying extraordinary bedside manner. Dr. Mattheos, in particular, called my wife, after my knee surgery, to discuss my condition and prognosis. My wife was VERY impressed with this follow-up and very much valued Dr. Mattheoss communication and contact with her. My wife had all her questions regarding my surgical procedure answered. Dr. Uroskie saw me for a hand issue. In addition to treating that condition most effectively and appropriately, Dr. Uroskie was most understanding and solicitous regarding my extreme anxiety at a time when I was experiencing an all-consuming series of difficult to manage life events. Dr. Schwarz was most understanding, patient and compassionate when he saw my mother-in-law. I cannot say enough good about this practice, its practitioners, its Physician Assistants - whom I believe, to a man and a woman, are world-class in terms of medicine and in terms of compassion and understanding, as well. Their bedside manner, as well, in addition to their technical medical skills are, to my mind, without peer. Finally, the entire office staff is, once again, to my mind and in my opinion, compassionate, understanding, friendly and helping and they also very much know and understand the practices physicians and their specializations. The staff has never failed, to my mind, to make an appropriate recommendation regarding the appropriate practitioner to see regarding any orthopedic condition with which I have presented them. Sports Medicine Norths front-office, scheduling staff and overall support and patient service organization are no less world class than their physicians and physician assistants. I recommend Sports Medicine North, its physicians, physician assistants and all support staff without qualification. Sports Medicine North is my go-to provider for ALL my orthopedic needs. Being so closely affiliated and tied in to the so-highly rated Boston medical community, I believe most firmly that any orthopedic patient could find no better practice. I know that you will be as satisfied as I have been and continue to be with Sports Medicine North. Other than as a patient, I am unaffiliated with Sports Medicine North in any other manner, but I feel most strongly about the world-class, a phrase that has been and can be most over used, care which I have received at Sports Medicine North and I believe that you will expect no less and, indeed, will find your best expectations exceeded. I had a 9:00 AM appointment with Dr. Wood on August 27th. At about 9:15 I was taken to an examination room by a person who apparently thought I could not see her. She called each turn through the hallways as we moved : "We turn right, and right again, now we go left . . ." etc. At 10:10, I walked out of the examination room. The doctor had not been in to examine me, and no one had come down to tell me that the doctor was running late or any such thing. I had made an 11:00 appointment with a client, as the doctor had spent less than two minutes with me on my last appointment (a PA or NP had spent three to five minutes), I figured that an hour and fifteen minutes was long enough to allow. I told the receptionist that I had to leave. She asked if I wanted to make another appointment. No apology, no explanation. Its been two weeks and no one has contacted me: no apology, no explanation. As in the line from Seinfeld: Youre OK at making the reservation (appointment), you just dont quite have keeping the reservation right". Where else can you go, get charged $400.00 for 2 minutes and get treated like crap? The arrogance is amazing. They are so much better than me that they need not consider my needs at all.

Terrible place. Can never get anyone on the phone. They faxed my MRI authorization to the wrong place and I have been trying to get in touch with them for 2 hours to get it resolved and keep getting hung up on.... If I wasnt so invested with time with these people I would go to another place. If you are starting out fresh pick a different office of specialist. This place will only waste your time and energy.
