Five stars isnt enough for the service I received and the experience that we encountered. My dog had a noticeable change in behavior, wasnt eating, and had issues vomiting. When I took her to Wilsons in Washington Township, they did an ultrasound on her and found a mass on her liver. They told me my only option was surgery to remove it (that a biopsy and aspirate werent possible), and that they would possibly have to remove her gallbladder also but that they wouldnt know until they had her opened up, and they scheduled her surgery for a week later. In the meantime, I got a second opinion at BluePearl in Macomb with Dr. Pearson. Her interpretation of the mass was different and considered it "unremarkable" and as just being hyperplasia. She did do an aspirate (which supposedly wasnt an option at the other vet) to ease my fear of the mass being malignant, and the results came back showing it to be benign. She put her on a liver and gallbladder medication and within two weeks, a follow up ultrasound showed that the mass has already decreased in size (half the size it was) and her bloodwork is all completely back to normal. While a definite diagnosis of it is still uncertain, shes thinking it could have been acute inflammation. I am SOOOO SO happy that I went for a second opinion instead of jumping right to slicing my girl open. Dr. Pearson and April took as much time as was needed to address all of my questions and concerns to help me fully understand the ultrasound visuals, results, and their feedback, and they treated my dog as if she were their own. My dog normally shakes profusely when going to get groomed or going to the vet--and weve been to BluePearl now three or four times, and her tail wags whenever we go in there. You can feel the difference, and you can clearly see the difference as well. Thank you to the entire team for welcoming us and helping us put this episode behind us and getting our perky spunky girl back to her normal self!

Brought my dog in because she was acting different. Not settled, moving around constantly, not eating or drinking and not sleeping. I thought it was constipation which I did express to the staff. After having her checked out I was told it was probably some sort of problem with her spine. I wont go into how they examined her but I go to a chiropractor and if he did that to me I would have flinched also. After being told that she needed further tests done (further expense also) and meds I opted to say No. Meds were pushed which I took home but never gave them to my dog. When they took the dog to another room they trimmed her nails (which I was OK with) and from what they said she gave them a stool sample. After about 45 min away from me they finally walked her back in and she was almost her old self. I think that sample had lots to do with that but they kept telling me its normal for them to start acting better just by walking in the office...not sure I believed that. I noticed that she was limping on one paw. That was not happening when I brought her in originally. I thought maybe they clipped the nail a little to short. It can happen. This all happened on a Thursday and it is now Tuesday and her paw is swollen and she is still limping. The office called me on Friday to see how she was doing and I explained the problem. They assured me that she did not have her nail clipped to short and that I should give her more of the pain meds. I never did that of course and I still wonder why she has a swollen paw and is still limping. I wish I would have gone with my gut and not taken her in. The time away was very odd to me and did bother me. I was told it was discharge papers being finalized. I dont know who was typing them but I could have done it way faster. Would I go back? No. Zero Stars but I had to give something.

My cat was having trouble breathing, and salivating a lot so I called to see if he should be brought in to be seen. The person who answered the phone was so nice and helpful. She answered all my questions but wasnt forceful and automatically telling me I have to bring him in. She told me that there was a procedure going on and to expect about an hour wait, but told me if I brought him to call ahead and let them know I was coming they could have paperwork ready and even though there was an hour wait to see the vet he would be seen by a vet tech and taken care. I really appreciate that they told me there was going to a long wait and didnt just pull a fast one on me. When I got there someone was there to meet me up front and took him right back for vitals since he was having trouble breathing. Once the vet came in he explained what could be going on, and what type of test he would like to run. Once he left a woman can into the room and broke down all the prices for the tests; it was expensive and I told her that. She then said well I can talk to the vet and see if he is stable and can go home and just to follow up with his normal vet tomorrow; which is what happend. It was really nice not to have them push all these tests on me just for money. And to top it all off they told me if he got worse again during the night I could bring him back and I wouldnt have to pay another initial exam fee (the fee is good for 24 hours!) The staff was very friendly, clean, and over all I had an excellent experience here! Thank you Blue Pearl Vet!

I wish I didnt have to give any stars. Im beyond upset with my experience. My dog was there for vomiting and problems urinating. First off, they couldnt give me ANY answers. The Doctor told me she had to take my dog in the back to "get a urin sample" he came back acting like a different dog. He was shaking, hiding behind myself and my husband. The nurse proceeded to then tell us she had to get his urin with a syringe and that she put a muzzle on my dog whos never had that before at ANY vet visit hes ever been to. This all would have been nice to know beforehand so I wouldnt have agreed to it and went elsewhere!!! However, this was told to me after he was acting very scared and I questioned why. After this, I obviously felt uncomfortable to say the least. The nurse then shoved a paper in our face with prices. Totaling up to almost 900$ for tests to be run to "possibly" figure out what was wrong. I Was so upset with how my dog was treated I wanted to leave asap. My husband went to tell the front desk we were very concerned and uncomfortable about our visit and our dogs wellbeing.. there was nobody there. He came out to check on my dog and I outside and was then locked out out of the facility. He then called to express his concerns and all they were concerned with was the money!!! So after the worst experience we still had to pay 97$ to leave with a shaken up, scared and very sick dog... more questions than answers and feeling totally taken advantage of! Im disgusted!!!
