Loved all the staff except for 2 new interns (Summer 2016). Dr Gauer was amazing with all my questions and very gentle with my hound. My hound had to have a surgery, which is concerning, especially since my hound is a Greyhound and has much different needs than other breeds. He asked me to come back so he could review Greyhound anesthesia to double check he was following guidelines. Apparently they dont see too many Greyhounds if any at all except mine. The rest of the staff was so wonderful in their jobs, especially always handling phone calls professionally and with sincerity and carrying and also handled some concerns over the phone to save me an office visit. My hound has passed away but if I ever have the need for a vet again I will Always choose this office, no matter the breed. They all really seem to live their jobs and they all sincerely love every hound that comes in the door. They treat you and your hound like Family and our hounds are our Family. I appreciate their sensitivity and respect for how I wanted to handle every situation, right down to the last seconds before my hounds passing and the time immediately following his passing by giving me as much time and space and info that I needed. I am incredibly grateful for how they worked with me and my beloved hound, Always gentle, loving and sincere. I cannot say enough good things about them. A much deserved Thank You to all of the staff.

Front lobby staff were very friendly right from phone conversations to actual check-in process. After reading good reviews about the clinic, I wanted to make sure I went to this place for my little dog. We were new to the area and when I called at first, the clinic was very busy and had no surgery appointments available for a week. I requested the ladies to see if they could help me as I had to get my dog spayed before taking her to a dog sitter. They (I called twice and spoke to two different ladies and both) listened to every detail of my problems patiently. The situation was complicated as I had travel plans etc etc etc. The staff called me back with in a few hours and took care of the situation. I was very impressed with their attitude, and understanding customer problems. End of the day, I was very pleased with their service, reasonable pricing, staff with smiles, clean lobby, good business practice. You do not see a lot of business that focus on customers anymore. Excellent practice. I like this place very much. 5 Stars for "Customer Service Excellence". Big thanks to Naomi, Amy, and Amanda. Well worth the (20 minute) drive.

Horrible. I brought my dog in for care of his abscess. The doctor, who barely spoke to me and looked at my dog for literally 15 seconds, decided to open the abscess. I was fine with that part, but they taped some gauze on him and said just let it drain. Now I have blood all over the inside of my house and the outside. Of course the gauze doesnt stay on with paper tape. I could have told them that. We called up there when we got him home and they acted like it was no big deal. Well, it wont stop bleeding. The the vet calls me and tells me to just use Ace bandages. Really?!? You couldnt do that? I asked if they would pack the wound, nope. Nothing. What kind of vet does this?? My poor dog is bleeding all over. I will never go there again. I am calling tomorrow and they will have to help him.

I have 3 dogs I bring in on a regular basis. I am also a big animal lover, nothing but the best for my kids! Ive gone plenty of places from Cambridge to Coon Rapids for vet services and none compare to this place. The staff is very nice and patient, Im not rich so theyll do their best to work with you and not charge you for stuff you dont need. My little guy had a rash (I had a coupon for a free vet visit to a Corporate place) so I brought him to another vet to see if it was life threatening.. they said if I wanted to fix it, it would cost me $250 dollars! Well I brought him to Ham Lake and only got charged for a bottle of shampoo and the visit. They have not let me down, and Ive been going there for at least 3 years regularly. Highly Recommended.

A am a student studying for vet tech and I volunteered there these last two summers and I see that they treat their animal patient with great care. They know what they are doing and know how to take care of your animals. I also had to bring mu cat there when she has a rare form of a UTI and she was treated very well and they actually prescribed a treatment plan for her that cleared it up in a matter of weeks. I would recommend them to anyone who would ask because of their caring nature toward the animals and also to the humans behind them.

The "patient care" here is really great. All visits are followed up with a phone call the next day to see how your pet is doing. They accomodate you and your schedule as much as possible, especially when it is an acute issue. Advice given over the phone and a "just in case" appointment was made, when the appointment wasnt needed and a voicemail was left, the vet tech returned the call and advised us to not hesitate to call back with any other questions, concerns, or need to schedule again if the issue returned. Great care.

They answer the phone on first ring...and when I cannot find the proof of rabies vaccination, (needed before a dog grooming), Amy at the clinic immediately told me that my dog was "up to date" on all vacinations and volunteered to fax me a copy of the proof of rabies vaccination. This will save me LOTS of time hunting for the form...and I they didnt ask me to pay anything for this great service. Thanks Amy!

Horrible. I tried taking my cute all white dwarf bunny. She has blue eyes and is a baby only 8 weeks. She hurt her paw bad and has been limping. They refused to even look at her. The doctor wouldnt even talk to me. The women at the front desk just said we dont take rabbits in a offensive way that made me feel bad. Dont go there if you have any animal other than dog or cat

Theyre caring and take the time with you and make sure you understand the health and condition of your pet. Our dog had a very serious case of limes a d they sent samples out of state for testing and then began with a treatment that all but cured her of the disease and is totally under control now. Super people and know what they are doing. Would go no other place!!

Go somewhere else for your vet care!!! Or you may find out like we did $5000 later that we didnt get quality care when our dog was critical after having a surgery there and needed emergency surgery the next day at the U. There are many great vets, find one somewhere else.

Please do not use this vet. Our youngest dog died recently and the vet did a horrible job with her care. They do not care about your animals. If you truly value your animals life please choose another vet that will care about the animals health and well being!
