What started out as an EXCELLENT and FRIENDLY experience quickly changed as of yesterday and today. I was referred to Buzbee Dental for their services by a dear friend- a solid recommendation at the time. I went in for my first visit and met with Dr. Todd. I was delighted by the treatment and explained processes- pricing, xrays, procedures, etc. Life happened and I was unable to make it in for my cleaning appointment. I had told the receptionist at that time (name unknown) that I would call to make an appointment soon (unfortunately my insurance dropped when I accepted a new job elsewhere and I had to wait my 60 days before enrolling again in a dental plan- thus being my dilemma). Regardless of informing the receptionist that I will reschedule on my own time, I received a text message of a rescheduled appointment. I disregarded due to our conversation. Fast forward to present time: I called to set up another cleaning appointment now that I am finally re-enrolled in a dental plan again. I spoke with Kathy who then informed me that she would speak to someone about allowing me to come back- unbeknownst to me why- and stated she would call me back. I received no call back and returned it upon my own accord to follow up on the answer. Kathy then in a blunt, condescending tone explained that she did not receive an answer and needed to check once more. She came back on the line and simply stated to the effect of "no we can not see you". I asked why..once again, as it had not been explained to me what she was even asking about in the first place. I was told, condescendingly, that due to cancelling 3x, I was not accepted back at that office "because those are slots other patients could have used". Now I understand that this is a fast-paced business with a plethora of diverse patients to take care of, however I was NOT informed of this cancellation policy nor is it posted on their website under "Appointments": "Your scheduled appointment time has been reserved specifically for you. We request a 24-hour notice if you need to cancel your appointment. We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an appointment, and appreciate your cooperation." I did the best to my ability to keep the office informed of me coming in or not but once again LIFE HAPPENS. So when Kathy tells me this information as if somehow I am to know this on my own, it was quite startling. I mentioned that I was referred to the office, hoping that would soften the situation, but alas dear sweet Kathy cuts me off stating "oh we know". Good to know that references mean nothing to your business nor informing your patients of your cancellation policy whilst making appointments. Interesting that I call Innovative Dental to transfer my services and I am easily told during that appointment-setting that if I cancel as a no call no show they have my card on file to charge me, NOT SHUN ME. I felt extremely disregarded and disrespected. This establishment received 2 stars based solely upon Dr. Todds professionalism and that alone.

I had a tooth hurting, called made an appointment, when I got there I found out I had called the wrong place, They still got me in very fast, I told them the problem the dentist came in recommend a full set xrays, then had the hygienist stop by. When he return he pointed out all the problems I had, I told him with insurance I still had a budget and would like to just start on tooth bothering me and one other, He kept saying they would work up a plan because if you fix one thing but not another thing would not work out. We went back and forth about cost and starting someplace, he would never narrow anything down. Kept saying we will get treatment plan and go from there, The hygienist had been in earlier showed me bone loss and needed me on a 3 mo schedule to keep coming back to treat it. At one point I said to the dentist More than 10 thousand dollars or less? At 1st he said more! then backed off that and kept going to "We will get treatment plan" I dont know what world he lives in but even thinking about spending 10,000!!! is insane. I fix A/C systems not a movie star. I wasted what money I had just going there. I went to my old dentist the next day, Told them the same thing, they took 2 xrays. The girl taking the xrays said I see what causing your tooth problem even before the dentist came in, then after he came in in 15 min I had 2 root canals scheduled for repair and was on my way! No fancy treatment plan 10 xrays, bone loss scare sales. I dont think BuzBee was wrong about what work I needed but all they could see was a cash cow, They have to pay for those big ads on the buses and extra fancy building and blinded them to just helping me with in my budget, One more thing They take your photo when you come in and have all your personal info, SS number address, spouse info. I hope they put as much effort into securing their computer info as milking the patients. During their office meetings I bet its all profit sharing not service. If you have an unlimited budget I would recommend them otherwise stay away. They were all very nice and professional. 09/25/14 BuzzBee called me after reading my review and offered to refund my money, I said you preformed the services and should keep it, They said I could come by and pick it up still. I said mail if you really want to refund it. He also took issue with me using cash-cow in my review, They felt it was unfair and not true, I tried to stick the facts and that may have been uncalled for, My review is only my opinion and Im sorry if wasnt perfect, but Thats how I felt. I agree it seems unfair they cant tell there side of the story on the review page, Im sure they will cope. Remember only your mothers opinion counts, if she calls you a loser you might be! everyone else has there own agenda.

I am writing this review because my time at Buzbee scared me so much I felt I had to write this. I had been sick for a few days in the first week of August 2015. I called a family doctor and described painful sores in my mouth. My doctor encouraged me to go to a dentist to get my mouth looked at and figure out what might be wrong with me. I scheduled an appointment with Buzbee Dental for later that day and got to the appointment early due to the pain I was feeling in my mouth. I sat in the chair for a total of 5 minutes waiting for the dentist, he looked into my mouth and declared that I had herpes right away. According to him the painful sores in my mouth were the first occurrence of the herpes virus in my body were causing the sores in my mouth and that there was nothing I could do about this and that the sores and pain would recede in a couple of days. This information devastated me because I had not been exposed in any way to the herpes and understood how the virus worked. So instead of taking this lying down I went to my family doctor after the appointment with the dentist to get a second opinion. My doctor ran blood tests and took swabs of my throat looking for the reason for the sores and lesions in my mouth. After a thorough checkup of my total health my doctor put me on heavy antibacterials and an anti-fungal. What was really wrong with me was a yeast infection in my throat that lead to a major bacterial infection in my mouth concentrating around my teeth. Had I followed the dentists advice and not gone to the doctor there could have been irreparable damage done to my body. I would never go to this dentist under any circumstances, and if they tell you there is a major problem get a second opinion.
