Let me start off by saying I was a new patient. After 2 years of not having dental insurace, I told them I was a new patient wanting to find a Dentist office my husband and I could be apart of. I went in for an initial check up and to have the Dr. Fuch look at my back retainer (I thought a part chipped off and wanted to make sure it was not my tooth). When I first arrived, they had no Dental Hygienist to clean my teeth. I had nothing explained to me. I specifically asked him to check to see if I had chipped my tooth or back retainer and he not only ignored my question and didnt answer it, but he called the back of my mouth, and I quote, "a sewer". Not only that, I had to interrupt him and stop him from continuing to call my mouth "disgusting, sewer, awful, pretty gross". But he didnt stop there. He then tried to persuade me to remove my back retainer and pay for a new one that would cost me 400 dollars. Needless to say, I did not return and I got a second opinion. When I went to a new Dentist, the receptionist at Dr. Fuchs office were completely rude and practically refusing to release my x-rays to the other facility. Also, when I got a second opinion about my back retainer, the Dentist called Dr. Fuch an idiot for suggesting that and I would have to agree. He also said my teeth are beautiful and "they just needed a good cleaning" There were other things that I found highly unprofessional (the cleanliness of the rooms, the cramped space) but I wont take the time to write about it. If you want to save your money and time and a little bit of self worth, find another office.

I went in for a tooth ache suspecting that I had lost part of my filling and a cleaning. Staff seemed friendly enough, the dentist was nice but I received no cleaning, they just poked and prodded in my mouth. I figured maybe they would just do the cleaning with the filling. After concluding that part of my filling had been lost, I scheduled to have it done next day and asked for a call back about what my out of pocket cost would be for the one filling. I was promptly called back and told that with my $50 deductible my OOP cost was anywhere from $175 to $200, maybe more maybe less. I asked how it was that much and why they couldnt give me an accurate amount. I was told that it depended on the size of the filling needed and that they wouldnt know until after they did the work. I cancelled my appointment and sought a second opinion. With NO INSURANCE my total cost at the second place would have been $112. WITH INSURANCE AND MY DECUTABLE (because its my first dental exam of the year) its $62.40. So $12.40 for the filling. I dont know how they wrote it up, I dont know what I was being charged for because they never offered a print out of the cost, but something is fishy here and I wont be back. And my insurance is in network with both places so it wasnt my insurance.

I went in to have my 2 front teeth looked at since I was developing cavities on them. I did the normal X-rays and such then the time came to have my teeth worked on... First off before they started doing any work on my teeth they did not clean them they then matched the color of the veneers to my un clean teeth. Needless to say I now have yellow front teeth! That isnt the only thing that happened while I was in the chair I kept trying to ask questions about what the doctor was doing and all he would say is " trust me I know what I am doing". No explanations no further plans of what was going to happen with my teeth just "trust him". the woman who cleaned my teeth was far more compassionate about her job than the actual dentist. Needless to say I will not be going back to have any work done there and I am stuck with 2 yellow front teeth until I can get the money to have them replaced. Oh and one more thing I was told my insurance had covered part of it and I paid the rest out of pocket then I get a letter in the mail stating that I had been turned over to a collections office for a small amount of money that I wasnt even aware that was needed to be paid. I will NOT be returning to have any of work done at all on my teeth.

Before I visited Smile Dental, it had been awhile since I had visited a dentist. I called Smile Dental at 8:00 AM, right when the office opened. The phone didn’t finish ringing once before a very nice young lady answered. The staff member I talked to was friendly and eager to help me. When I asked about prices for cleaning, she knew them immediately. She told me exactly what to expect when I went in. Incidentally, that was only two and a half hours later. That’s right, they saw me the very same day I called. I was in the waiting room for no time at all before they called me back. They did the x-rays required of new customers and the dentist came to have a consultation with me. He put to rest all my fears about my teeth, and assured me they could take care of all my problems. The guy knew his stuff. He knew prices for everything immediately, which was awesome. The hygienist came in and cleaned my teeth and was VERY nice and professional. I’ve already scheduled another appointment. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. These guys are the absolute best. It was also quite affordable! Oh, and they let me watch The Empire Strikes Back while they cleaned my teeth. Need I really say more than that?

We have been patients of Dr. David for several years now. Dr. David and his staff have taken care of everything from routine cleanings to a very difficult tooth extraction my daughter (5 years old at the time) needed due to an abscessed tooth. We just love having them as our dentist. Their staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Recently we moved my Mom up to Springfield from Oklahoma. She had gone several years without good dental care, and needed a lot of help. Dr. Robert has taken care of her wonderfully so far. Mom was really worried that she would be judged because of how bad her teeth had gotten, but no one said anything negative to her. I am so thankful that we could refer her to Dr. David and Dr. Robert. They are working with us financially to help make her dream come true. She has wanted to have her smile fixed for a long time, and with my sisters graduation around the corner she is excited to have the beautiful smile she always wanted. She said she will finally be able to smile for the pictures.

First, this review is driven by the stark contrast between the other 10 or so dental offices Ive utilized in my 40 yrs prior to Smile. The above average, premium measurement of service is the base line for which all dentists should be measured. Service with a smile (pun somewhat intended) , and legitimate caring demeanor carry from sign in to , laying back in chair services rendered. Dr. David is caring, attentive, and well versed at explaining procedures in laymans terms. Unfortunately I do not remember all the staffs names, so as not to leave anyone out....... I will just say everyone follows Dr. Davids lead regarding the afore mentioned attributes. Never God willing, will I patronize another office. Which leads to my point. This office gives evidence to all that, " You will recognize them by their fruit" , Mathew 7:16
