Wow. Just wow. I called the ER and was told the wait time was about 10-15 minutes to be seen by a doctor. I arrived at the hospital about 5 minutes after i made the phone call. Upon ariving no one was in the waiting room and 3 nurses along with and intake person were at the front talking. I advised I was in vety bad pain in my lower back on my left side. I had a UTI for 3 weeks and on 2 different antibiotics with a total of 3 rounds of antibiotics and had been to urgent care 3x. Most recently yesterday where they said I still have a a UTI. I was taken into a room and asked to pee in a cup. They then left my urine on the patient table for over and hour and a half. The nurse came in to put an IV in. She pulled over a set of drawers and opened all the packaged medical stuff and set it on top of the drawers with out having any starel protector paper down. Thr nurse then accidently locked the drawers and with her medical gloves on typed in the code to unlock and then touched me and the needle again. I was then left for about an hour when someone finally came back. I was repediadly asked my name and if I was someone else. The nurse then came back and said they were going to move me to a bed. Finally soemone said "you cant be in this room" and asked me to get up and follow them. They did not take me to a bed they took me to a room with 4 chairs and a curtain around each chair. I could barley walk let alone try and sit in this uncomfortable chair. I was then left for a long period of time with no one comming back. A nurse practitioner finally came and told me i dont have a ITI or infection and its probablly muscular. She gave me ibprofin and anti nausia medication as I was very naucious. With out telling me what the next steps are or plan she left and no one came back to my chair for about 2 hours. I then got up and left the room to find someone. I couldnt find anyone so I went to the front anf asked them to remove the IV so i could leave and go to a different hospital. This man actually laughed at me and said I would have longer wait times. I advised I didnt even know what I was waiting for... He said to go sit back in my area and he will send a doctor back right away. I waited again for an hour... No one came. I got up and walked to the hall and asked again for someone to come. Waited again. No one came. The 3rd time I wondered the halls and found the original nurse. I told her all of the above and asked again to take the IV out so I can go to another hospital. She said no. She said they wont take it out until the doctor says. I advised if someone does not take it out I am going to leave with it in and go to another hospital. She asked me to go sit back down. She camr back and said when the doctor has time she will discharge me. I asked how long anf she said maybe a few hours. So I am supposed to wait around in this pain for you to do absolutly nothing? I told her again to remove the IV. She left without taking it out and i waited again. Finally I got up and left with the IV in my arm. I went to St. Rose where security got the charge nurse to come look at me. She was happy to help take it out but said that the other hospital would probably send police to my home now as people walk in to get IVs just to leave to go do drugs and often OD ect. I advised I would go back to Henderson hospital then as I didnt not want police called on me. I drove again in horrid pain back to Henderson Hospital and walked in and asked flr who ever was in charge. He came out and I explained all of the above. After apologizing over and over he said he thought I had a kidney stone and I would need a CT. (mind you all while in the waiting room where other people could now here everything including my medical info) He asked if I wanted to stay and I declined as I already felt neglected here. FINALLY they took the IV out. I asked for my blood and urine paperwork and then got a lecture on how that is against policy and I have to come back for it. But agreed due to circumstances to print it out now. I then asked fkr whobwas above him and got a #.

My wife had a very severe headache and her doctor advised her to go to the ER to get looked at immediately since it was over the weekend. I called Henderson Hospital ahead of time to make sure they take our insurance. They said they did and we went. We had already paid off our deductible for the year so the bill should have been nothing. Instead we got a bill for almost $3000. My wife was shocked and called the Hospital. They immediately told her that they "took" our insurance but they were not in the network and it was our responsibility to make sure of this. When she asked why you did not say that before we went, they just repeated themselves. This is a horrible tactic that they used to sucker us in. By the way our insurance is Cigna, so it is not a small company. Second, when we got to the hospital the staff was friendly and was able to see to my wife quickly. After diagnosis it took over an hour of doing anything about it to help with the pain (and they still did not-more below), and they were not that busy at the time. It was horrible, because she was in obvious pain. Before they gave her any medication, they got a cardiac arrest patient in who took the entire staff to look into. So my wife suffered another hour until I went and finally got a hold of a nurse who then admitted that someone should have administered the medicine already. They just forgot, so my wife suffered. Once a nurse came in, they pushed in the medication too quickly causing a burning sensation through her body and causing her to go into a panic. She thought she was having a heart attack or something horrible. They neglected to say that this could happen, which I found out later can and has, if the medicine is administered too quickly. Two points to think about before going to this hospital. 1. They are definitely money first. 2. They need better organization, so you dont get lost in the crowd.

I came to the hospital at 4:00am and there was no wait. I have to say that for the two days I was there, everyone was great. I could not have asked for a better experience. The nurses were awesome and the doctors were very nice and listened to all my combined issues and made a game plan to figure out exactly what was wrong. Every person that came into my room was fabulous and everyone seemed to get along and helped each other. The hospital was clean, very organized, had tests done with state of the art portable machines that came to my room. Finally, I was able to find out what was wrong and felt comfortable talking to the doctors about different tests and asked if there were anything else we can check for and they did. I have lived in Henderson/Las Vegas for over 30 years. Ive had delivered 2 children and have raised them here - so Ive had my fair share of visits to the hospital. This hospital is BY FAR THE BEST! As patients, we need to realize there are other patients here also and could be in a way worse shape than us... be mindful the nurses and doctors are all busy trying to make us feel better. We have to be patient and understanding that we are not at a 5 star hotel and expect everyone working here to jump up and focus on us. As to the foolish people who are angry and post peoples names is just shameful. Call the persons boss, but to have a problem with the first person you came in contact here and then post her name makes you a discussing person. People have bad days or even bad moments, but to put one moment in time over social media makes me question your temperament. I was here 2 full days and never ran into a rude person. But maybe its because Im not rude! Just saying.
