If I could give this place zero stars I would. I hate being negative but I have to document my horrible experience(s) at this facility. On February 17th I had to call the ambulance due to abnormal excruciating abdominal, pelvic, chest, and back pain while being on my cycle. I arrived at the hospital where I was forced to walk (after being told my pain was “just a stomach ache” even though I was in tears stating that I couldn’t move) barefoot on the dirty waiting room where I waited about an hour to be seen. Before getting a room I was told to provide a urine sample. While I was (barely) walking to the bathroom I heard several workers laugh and make rude remarks about how I “needed chapstick” and how “she came here via ambulance for abdominal pain” along with more giggles. Since I was feeling like death and already terrified and uncomfortable by my surroundings, I didn’t say anything. The bathroom was filthy, the floor was wet, and there was also blood smears on the side of the sink and droplets on the floor. After providing the sample he took me to my room (which I’m not sure if this is common with hospitals but it was just a hallway with divided curtains). My nurse Pat was nice and did his best to make me feel comfortable which I appreciated very much. I was hooked up to the IV and had my blood drawn several times for testing, was given some basic pain meds that did nothing, and dozed off for a while. Then I had to get a CT scan. The man who performed my CT scan was named Ron and he, like Pat, was also nice and could tell I was in a lot of pain and was terrified by everything going on, and he did his best to make me less afraid and as comfortable as one could be while going thru a giant scary looking donut. After my scan I went to back to my room (it was now maybe 4 am, Feb. 18th). Later, Dr. Han came into my room and loudly proclaimed I had an excess amount of stool in my system and that it was time for me to go. My nurse came, told me I had a bladder infection which spread to my kidney. It’s Feb. 21st, I called Dr. Han because I saw that he did not leave me a doctor’s note for me to provide to my employer like I requested during my stay. A woman answered and told me she could mail/email me a copy of the note. Then a few hours later (with no email) I get a call from the same woman stating that Dr. Han told me I would have to come see him at the facility to get the note myself. Feeling a bit annoyed because I desperately didnt want to go back, I agreed to come see him. So I went to the admissions office, explained that I was told to come here to get my note, and was told that because it has been more than 36 hours after my stay I would have to be re-admitted and wait several hours to be seen (the place was jam packed). Now, I am by no means entitled, and I don’t expect special treatment, but when I am told something I expect that the information I have been given is accurate and will be honored. After explaining that I NEED this note so I can bring it to my employer or else I will be terminated, she basically told me there’s nothing they can do unless I want to be re-admitted. And there’s no way I’m putting myself through that again while I’m still in pain, although not as much. If I was given my note THE NIGHT I HAD ASKED, none of this would have happened. Hopefully I can get SOME form of documentation for my place of employment if I contact my insurance. All in all, my time here was humiliating, uncomfortable, scary, and just plain bad. But since I hate being negative I will say if you DO go to this facility, I hope you have nurses like Pat and Ron. Maybe they should teach their fellow coworkers about patience, understanding, and not making rude remarks about patients (I still can’t believe those things I heard those workers say about me). Frankly if I ever have another medical emergency (God forbid) I would rather stay at home and wait for the sweet embrace of death than go to this disgusting place again.

Care: I was visiting Vegas for a family vacation and got very ill. I came to the ER and was seen by dr. Hughes, I believe. She was one of the most inconsiderate and neglectful providers I have ever seen! I would say she had a terrible bedside manners And was outright rude. There were long delays between seeing a provider, getting treatment, results, etc. Overall, the care here was sub-par at best, and I think Im giving the staff a little bit of slack because I personally understand how hard this field can be. Billing: Easily the worst hospital administration Ive ever encountered. For starters, the hospital initially sent me a bill while neglecting to Bill my insurance, claiming it was my mistake. Mhmm not likely. Secondly, I applied for their charity program as paying a bill like this is far beyond my means. The administrator on the phone told me that even if I apply and am approved for this charity, my account would not be put on hold and would likely be sent to collections anyways. Basically, implying whats the point, youre screwed anyhow. To make matters worse, the hospital kept sending me 60 day notices far from "in a timely fashion" as rhetoric goes. For instance, I recently received a bill that was dated 2/27/16 with a due date of 3/08/16, but I just received this bill today on 3/07/16!!!! Talk about forcing someone into a pickle. Im not sure if I ever even received the application for my charity relief nor if I did, whether or not it was proccessed at all. All in all, this was the worst aspect of my experience with this hospital/organization. Overall: AVOID THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL COSTS!!!!! Quite literally, youll be fighting tooth and nail with not only the staff but also billing/administration. It should be noted, this is a FOR PROFIT HOSPITAL!!! This is reflected in all aspects that govern this hospital, it seems they care less about patient care and more about money, it makes me sad that places like this exist.

Whoa! Where do I begin? Maybe its really the "valley health system" running these hospitals that need a overhaul of NEW employees. People who care for people that are hurt. This "valley health system" runs 6 hospitals in Las Vegas take notes! Desert Springs Hospital, Valley Hospital, Spring Valley Hospital, Summerlin Hospital, Centennial Hills, Henderson Hospital. The experiences Ive had at all but 2 of these places, where the worst Ive had to endure. As well as family. Today was the most recent lame hospital occurrence, when my boyfriend was taken by ambulance. He has DVT. He didnt even have shoes when he left home. he was in so much pain. He was transported alone, I had to care for our young child. I called and spoke to a nurse, gave her our number if gets discharged. Because he didnt have shoes! Well of course no one gave a damn about calling. He was discharged. Discharged before any of his results came back! What in hell? I guess having blood clots in your main vain aint all that serious. He unfortunately had a worse visit to Centennial Hills. Horrible horrible. He has insurance. Great insurance actually! I intend to send another email directly to valley health system for the record. What exactly does this mean "Thank you for reaching out to us and for bringing your concerns to our attention. We take your comments very seriously and would like to learn more about this. So that we can better assist you" How can this situation be better assisted? A certified letter sent by you Valley Health System acknowledging his bad visit at the other hospital didnt assist anything! Fair warning if anyone happens to read these reviews before going to one of these GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT THESE HOSPITALS! Its just all bad.
