Very very very disappointed with this Animal Hospital. Long story short – my cat became blocked back in January. We brought him to this hospital and he was given antibiotics and sent home. The next day we took him back because the antibiotics did nothing for a blocked cat. We did 2 catheter procedures and he was sent home each time after they said he was “going to the bathroom normally”. I do not believe this to be true AT ALL. He was NOT going to the bathroom at home. We were willing to do EVERYTHING we could to save our cat’s life – we put him in the hands of the vets at EB Animal Hospital and I will regret this for the rest of my life. We ended up going through the PU surgery (which was not a typical PU surgery- they had to open his stomach because they could not get the catheter in this time), our cat was recovering in the hospital for 2 weeks and we were visiting him every day. They said his recovery was great. They sent him home on a Wednesday saying, again, that he was going to the bathroom fine and AGAIN at home, he was not going to the bathroom. On Friday morning of that week we had to bring him in to remove the stitches. He was dead weight at that point. I carried him to the vet in his bed- he did not move, he did not know what was going on at all. We were told we were going to get a call in an hour and a half to 2 hours. We did not get a call so I called myself and was told that the vet took our cat in late because they were swamped with emergencies – AS IF MY BLOCKED CAT WAS NOT AN EMERGENCY TO BE TAKEN CARE OF. We then get a call from the vet explaining the situation and basically saying that our cat obstructed again and we had a choice to put the catheter in again. At that point we were done torturing him and had to put him down that night. I think about what we went through and what we put our cat through every day and REGRET taking him to this hospital. When we went in to put our cat down we were told that when the vet was doing the surgery and opened his stomach, it was “a mess in there”. IF IT WAS A MESS IN THERE WHY WERE WE NOT CALLED AND NOTIFIED RIGHT AWAY LIKE THEY PROMISED THEY WOULD?! RIDICULOUS!!!!! WHY WOULD YOU CONTINUE THE SURGERY AND HAVE THE CAT WAKE UP IF HE’S A MESS?!?!?!?!!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM FURIOUS AND WILL NEVER GET OVER THIS!!!!!! THERE IS NO PASSION FOR ANIMALS HERE – IT’S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!!!!!!!! THAT IS MY OPINION AND I WILL NEVER FORIGVE THIS PLACE!!!! I now have over $3000 in bills and NO CAT!!!!!!!!!! The young ladies at the front desk were very nice and Dr. Cutillo is the only that listened to me when I came to speak with him after this whole situation. Please, if your cat is blocked and the 1st catheter procedure does not work, DO NOT CONTINUE TO A SECOND CATHETER PROCEDURE – DO THE SURGERY BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE BECAUSE CATS CAN ONLY HANDLE SO MUCH. DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU PUT YOUR CAT IN SOMEONE’S HANDS!!

First of all, I have never written an online review until now. In doing so, I hope this can be helpful to someone one day and can potentially save a family from heartache. Long story short, If I could, I would give no start. With that being said, if your pets needs to have their claws trimmed or get a vaccination, then by all means, go to the EB Animal Hospital. However, if your pet is ill and needs a doctor/vet to take care of him/her, PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. The techs are very friendly and the receptionists as well, however, their doctors/vets are “AWFUL”, and awful is an understatement. I almost do not want to write the word “doctors/vets” because none of them deserve that title. They are very unprofessional; they do not update you with medical terms instead they say and keep repeating that “everything is good,” you yourself have to ask for specific updates. They are TERRIBLE at communicating among each other. My cat was undergoing a major surgery and the “main” doctor said if anything is looking bad, they will stop the surgery and call us to decide what we want to do further. We NEVER received a call and instead they tortured the poor animal for weeks for !!!! PROFIT !!!! before he succumbed to their carelessness. This is what I’m talking about, no communication between them all, and if you have to be in my situation, you will remember my words. There is a doctor, that is heartless, emotionless and does not make eye contact with you and she knows who she is, she does not deserve to be called a vet. When I was finally putting my cat to sleep because of their carelessness, I asked her, is this hospital nonprofit or profit and she responded to me “It’s a BUSINESS”, they are there to make money. I have never been so disappointed in my life … they all walked away with full pockets and I walked away with a broken heart and no pet. They don’t look after animals that undergo surgery, they lie about their improvement condition and they do not have any communication among each other. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING experience and mark my words, if anyone has an emergency with their pets, DO NOT take them here !!!!! In writing this, I get NOTHING … but I hope that maybe my words can save another pet. No amount of sorry from them will bring my pet back and I do not even believe its genuine. So please go somewhere else if your pet needs to be seen by a REAL VET !!! I hope no one else is placed in the same situation by them as I was and if this does happen, you will remember my words.

This office appeared friendly and competent when we first went there but I see now thats just how they approach their new clients. Theyre extremely busy and they either dont have enough employees at the desk, or their employees are not experienced enough to handle the amount of animals going in and out. After our vet appointment was over; it took them 35 minutes to "check us out", and my dogs were extremely restless and uncomfortable throughout the process. Furthermore, I called in advance for an estimate and their receptionist quoted me a price, that included a Veterans discount; however, the receptionist who checked us out the day of the appointment rolled her eyes and said that they dont offer any type of discounts; she didnt understand why the "dumb" girl told me that, but refused to honor that discount; even after I explained that the amount of cash that I had brought with me was based on the estimate I was originally given. I can understand that everybody makes mistakes but the client shouldnt suffer for an employees error; it was a matter of like few bucks and it seems a shame to cause distrust towards the office over such a small matter. Meanwhile, during the visit, the actual veterinarian took out her cellphone (albeit to shut it off) in the middle of drawing blood from my dog, and did not wash her hands before finishing up the test; you would never see a real phlebotomist doing that for obvious reasons associated with hygiene and bacterial transmissions. Then to top it all off the tech cut my dogs nail down to his quick causing him to bleed. Granted he has black nails, however that is why we ask the vets office to do it, instead of doing it ourselves at home...
