I chose Dr. Adams to fix a broken amalgam filling on a bicuspid. I did not have any pain from the tooth, but the problem needed quick attention. On the first visit this past Monday, they did a couple of x-rays, looked around my mouth a bit, and then they told me they would have to remove some decay from underneath my filling. I came back the next day, and they did another x-ray or two, performed some millimeter measurements on my gums, looked at all of my teeth, and then removed the decay under my broken filling. Dr. Adams determined the decay was close to the pulp, and he filled it with a temporary filling. On this past Thursday, after two days of moderately high pain, I arrived for my third visit. They sat me down in a consultation room and went over an extensive treatment plan to fix all known issues in my mouth. The initial plan included a duplicate entry that added to the bill. There were other small errors in the initial treatment plan. One of the associates corrected the treatment plan. This included one root canal, a post, a crown, the x-rays, scaling (tartar removal) on all four quadrants, a few various amalgam fillings, and an Oral-B Professional Care SmartSeries 5000 electric toothbrush. The total figure seemed higher than average, but dentistry in the U.S.A. is nearly always expensive. Afterward, I had the root canal done. During the procedure, Dr. Adams seemed very exact and professional and careful. He injected lidocaine well. He told me exactly what I would feel and when I would feel it. I have always had anxiety about dentists, and I felt more at ease at his place than I have at any other dentist. I was in no pain during the root canal procedure. While filing the hole and removing the root, he repeatedly used sodium hypochlorite to ensure no infection would occur inside the tooth. He also used sodium hypochlorite just moments before sealing it. Any questions I asked were answered well. He took x-rays throughout the procedure to make sure he was right on track. He told me the root canal went well. Then he used a scaling machine. That was a bit uncomfortable because it hurt even under local anesthesia. Yet overall the root canal and scaling processes were smooth and easy. The assistants in the office were helpful and knowledgeable. They gave me sunglasses to block the glare of the dentist light. I thought that was neat, and for some reason the sunglasses made the experience a lot easier. The chair was comfortable, and there was a computer monitor with a relaxing tropical picture at the foot of the chair. I saw signs around the office advertising an “Essay Contest” and stating you could win an Amazon Kindle if you post a positive review on Google Maps during June, so that could have some impact on the fact that 22 of 24 (as of today) reviews are from the month of June. They required payment in full at the time services were rendered. They took CareCredit. They said they do not take medicaid. For upper middle class or above and/or those who have excellent dental insurance, Dr. Adams is a great choice. Regardless of the slight administrative issues with my initial treatment plan and the fairly significant pain I was in for a couple of days, I feel confident he did very good work, and thats the most important thing. Additionally, he was upfront and told me I had some problems with my teeth and gums, but he said there was nothing there that couldnt be turned around with proper treatment. It is my opinion that he has the ability and knowledge of a seasoned dentist. I would love to be able to go back to Dr. Adams to have him do all the recommended work on my mouth and keep coming back to him for as long as possible. Unfortunately, since I am an out-of-state college student on a tight budget, I cannot seem to find any way to afford his services.

While on vacation up on the Blue Ridge Parkway, I woke up in the middle of the night with a horrible toothache. It turned out I needed a root canal and the pain was only getting worse. The next morning we called around for 1 1/2 hours, but nobody was taking “new patients” or could “fit me in” for days. That was, until I called Reynolds Mountain Dentistry. Wow, what patient care—what professionalism! They understood my pain and I was receiving treatment by Dr. Susan Taunton on 1PM that day. She’s a very good, professional and gentle dentist. Thanks to Dr. Taunton and the Reynolds Mountain Dentistry staff I was back on the Parkway that afternoon and my family vacation continued.

Both my wife and I have been patients of Dr. Adams for over six years now, and all of our 20+ visits (each) have been great experiences. Truthfully, the word "fun" never pops into your head when you think "dentist visit," but with Dr. Adams and his staff you could easily insert the ideas "stress free," "professional work--the first and every time," and a truly caring and attentive staff. If youre looking for real professionals, the latest and best equipment, a clean, welcoming environment, reasonable prices, and thorough, first-class treatment, this is the dentist and staff youll want for your entire family. These are good people.

Dr. Adams has been our family dentist for seven years now and I would unconditionally recommend him. His office is inviting, clean, and well organized. Our wait time in the reception area has always been reasonable and his staff is caring, professional, and timely. On one occasion, I had difficulty with some work Dr. Adams had done (no fault of his, I just had a very aggravated nerve). He was excellent in this situation and worked hard to get my mouth back to normal at no additional cost to us. I trust his opinion on dental work and always feel that he has our best interests at heart.

Although going to the dentist is not at the top of my favorite things to do, I have always had a very pleasant experience at Reynolds Mountain Dentistry. The staff is so warm, friendly and caring. Dr Adams always takes his time to explain my options and the costs. I have recommended him to several friends and everyone has been very pleased with the experience. When one of my friends was in tremendous pain with an abscessed tooth, Dr Adams came in early the very next morning to treat her. He has won a friend and patient for life with that gesture of compassion and kindness.

I recently became a new patient of Dr. Adams. I had several areas to address with my dental needs and was referred by a good friend. I have always dreaded going to the dentist and put things off longer than I should have. From the first moment I stepped into his office I could not be happier with my care. Dr. Adams is very informative and explains things so that you understand. The entire staff is very professional yet so comforting and patient. I love my smile and am so happy I found Dr. Adams!!

This is a great dentist office. All of the staff are nice and the dental technicians (not sure if this is the right term) perform a very thorough teeth cleaning. Dr Matt Ray is a great guy who wont hesitate to jump into a detailed answer to any of your dental questions. The facility is very modern and most of the patient rooms have large windows looking out onto landscaped bushes and birdfeeders. Its a little bit of a drive for me, but the quality of the service, work, and people is definitely worth it.
