Triangle Pediatrics is a pediatric medical facility offers a range of pediatric services and is generally well-regarded in the community. However, like any medical facility, it has its strengths and weaknesses, as revealed by patient reviews.
Some patients have expressed dissatisfaction with the front desk staff, citing issues with appointment scheduling and communication. One review mentioned that the staff was not accommodating when the patient was running a few minutes late for an appointment. This led to a cancellation and a less than satisfactory interaction with the practice manager.
On the other hand, long-term patients have praised the level of medical care provided, particularly mentioning Dr. Adams for his understanding, patience, and thoroughness. He is noted for being accommodating to alternative vaccination schedules and for his ability to calm both the child and the parent.
Some long-term patients have noticed a change in staff behavior over the years. While the medical care remains high-quality, there is a sense that some staff members have become less patient and more rushed in their interactions with patients.
Patients have also raised concerns about the practice's missed appointment fee policy. The policy accumulates over the years, meaning that even if you had missed appointments several years ago, they would still count towards the fee. This has been considered unreasonable by some.
The office is praised for its cleanliness, and most interactions with the front desk have been described as pleasant. Doctors like Dr. Salter and Dr. Baer have been commended for their professionalism and ability to focus on the child's care.
While some patients have had issues with the administrative aspects of the practice, the medical care itself is generally well-reviewed. Doctors are praised for their professionalism and thoroughness, although there are some concerns about the behavior of the front desk staff.

Triangle Pediatrics in Cary has nasty and rude people from the front desk all the way to the practice manager. We made an appointment as a “new patient” for our child. The day of the appointment we were running exactly 7 minutes late as we were talking with a mold specialist at our home. The mold was one of the reasons we were going to the Dr. in the first place as we wanted to make sure our child was not suffering any effects of possible mold exposure and get him checked out. We called the office to let them know we would be there in 5 minutes and were en route. The girl on the phone immediately gave us a hard time and threatened to reschedule our appointment. I asked her on the phone to let me know if they were going to reschedule or not so we could turn around ago home and not rush in the rain. She said "Ill have to see when you get here if we can see you or not". I said again, "We will be there in only 5 minutes we are on Cary Parkway, just tell us, please". She wouldnt. Long story short, after we got there, parked and got the baby out of the car and up to the Drs. Office exactly 6 minutes later, the girl at the front desk told us, "sorry we cant see you today" Now why the heck couldnt she tell us that before we got there? I told the girl at the front desk, no, we won’t be back; we will go somewhere else that appreciates the value of common courtesy. 5 minutes later while driving home we get phone a call from the office trying to confirm an appointment for the next day after we told them we would not be coming back. I told the girl on the phone I wanted to talk to the Practice Manager about the way we treated and we would not be coming in until this happened. She said she’s busy. I said OK, I’ll call her back later today. That afternoon around 2 PM I called and again the front desk girl was frustrating and rude. I explained the story briefly then got transferred to someone else. The second girl got rude with me and told me the Office Manager and was in a meeting and then asked me snidely if she could take a message. I attempted to leave my name and number but she kept asking what I was calling about. I told her three times that it was about the way we were treated and I would discuss it only with the Office Manger. She was no help, so I hung up. End of story right? Nope. 5 minutes later The Office Manger calls and starts in with me. She had the nerve to tell me that I am making her staff nervous. My wife was standing there with her jaw wide open and couldn’t believe it. I said Sharon, I was trying to reach you to let you know about our experience this morning but your staff can’t take a coherent message because of sheer incompetence. Now, %$^& off and lose my number.

Weve been going to Triangle Pediatrics for about 10 years. Very happy during the first few years in regards to the level of care and service from both the providers and rest of the staff, but have noticed some changes recently. We usually see Dr.Adams and he continues to be top-notch in terms of his understanding, patience, thoroughness, and ability to calm both the child and the parent. Even though we are on an alternative vaccination schedule, Dr.Adams has been very understanding and does not push us to follow the conventional one. In regards to other providers, we saw Dr.Capps in April due to availability and she seemed incredibly rushed to get to the next patient. Weve seen her before and I remembered her being as patient and courteous as Dr.Adams, but that was not the case this particular time. Perhaps they have a lot of patients now, so they need to rush to see everyone; however, as we all know, quality over quantity, especially in medical care. Also, I never knew this until recently: if you have 3 missed appointments DURING YOUR WHOLE TIME WITH THE PRACTICE, you have to pay a missed appointment fee of $75. That may not sound like such a big deal, but once youre with the practice for a few years, youll feel the impact. I had to pay the fee recently as we were late to an appointment (and they couldnt work us in so it was counted as a missed appt), which was admittedly my fault. However, when I inquired about the other 2 other missed appointments (weve never had a no-show or cancellation without notifying the practice), they informed me of one in 2013 and another in 2011. Really? It is unrealistic to think that patients are never going to have to cancel an appointment at the last minute...especially over the course of several years; this "cumulative" policy is unreasonable and should be reconsidered. What prompted me to write this review is actually the insurance person I spoke to at the office in regards to the above policy. Its fine to disagree and not accept my recommendation to re-evaluate the policy but its certainly unacceptable to be rude and dismissive. As some of the other reviewers have mentioned, there is an air of "haughtiness" in some of the current staff members, which is very unfortunate, as this was not the case previously.

My family has lived in NC for a few years. My son has only struggled with allergies since we moved here, so of course, my husband and I are more concerned with his treatment than the doctors bedside manner with us because we want to feel like they are doing everything they can. We ask him to tell us what he thinks of the doctors prior to us injecting our opinions. We, as parents love our children, and because of that can be a little over the top forgetting that this is our childs doctor and not ours. With that said, as a professional myself, I do expect the doctors to be courteous, so that we as parents are not distracted by their behavior and am totally focused on the care of our children. After all, we all signed up for what we are doing. The only other thing that matters to me as a parent is cleanliness. This office is the cleanest that I have seen yet. I will also throw in that my experience with the front desk staff has been fine and a very pleasant person has always answered the phone when I called. My son has seen Dr. Salter and Dr. Baer. One Saturday he saw Dr. Chao for an emergency visit. I dont question any of these doctors abilities to do their jobs well. I will say that although Dr. Chao was a little short and impatient with me, she was pretty thorough with my sons treatment and he thought she was okay. He likes Dr. Baer the best so far though because she seems to listen to him. He has a sick visit scheduled with a different doctor, so we will see how he likes her. It would be great to find the total package so I am holding on to the 5 star rating. We should always keep in mind that if we dont think we are getting what we need from a paticular doctor or doctors office, there are many other choices. Our loyalty should be to our children and not the doctors.
