I started going to WakeMed Physician Practices Primary Care in North Raleigh about a year ago. I searched online for a close general practitioner to diagnose some issues I was having. Over the past 7 years, Ive been increasingly getting worse and worse with traveling and dealing with stress. I wrote down what I noticed about myself and in my first visit with Dr. Trapani, I let it all out - explaining what I found were triggers, physical issues I noticed, etc. Talking to Dr. Trapani is like talking to a friend, he is very interested to listen and genuine in wanting to help. Dr. Trapani was quick to come up with next steps...we did some initial bloodwork - it was a quick trip across the hall, and the next day my results were back and we were able to come up with a treatment plan. It turns out that my thyroid was amplifying the anxiety issues I had - that I never used to have growing up. Its an issue that runs in my family. Dr. Trapani also was very helpful in finding and prescribing generic versions of medications to keep my ongoing costs down. I would highly recommend Dr. Trapani. He is very friendly and helpful answering any and all questions to help understand my issues. A year ago I was physically anxious and overall scared to even go the mile down the street to the doctors office. With my treatment, my daily life has improved and Im working on my traveling issues - noting what bothers me, what helps me, etc. And I have a good support system that is understanding of what Im going through. Its funny how a few bad experiences stick with you and it takes a while to be comfortable again. I didnt realize how bad it had gotten, or how much your thyroid has to do with your overall well-being, but now that Im getting better, honestly, I should have found treatment 7 years ago when I noticed these issues starting. WakeMed Physician Practices itself also gets a high rating in my book. For me, its close, so thats a huge plus. But even if thats not the case for you, there are many other positives. The waiting room is soothing and quiet. The wait time to get back and see the doctor is minimal. The ladies at the front reception desk are very nice and helpful as well. The ladies in the blood lab across the hall are quick and since they draw blood all day, they are very good at it - you almost cant even feel it. The practice also has an online portal that is easy to use. You can send messages to your doctor, request prescription refills, create an appointment, and more. You get notifications when there are new messages and invoices (bloodwork invoices in my case), and they are easy to pay online.

I visited Falls Pointe Medical Group a couple of weeks ago for the first time. I am a recent graduate from NCSU and have been using their Nurse Practitioners for the past four years, and needed to find a new doctor. I found that the reviews were good for this group and that it was located right around the corner from my new place.... Maybe they were having an off day, but I had a horrible experience. My appointment was for 10:15 am on a weekday morning. When I got there the waiting room was empty except for 2 other patients, who also said they were new patients. I was not called back to be seen until 11:30 am! 15 minutes later I was seen by Dr. Robinson. After waiting for over 1.25 hours I was hoping for at least a partially warm physician. However, the doctor was very cold, not even introducing herself. She was short with me and made me feel insignificant. Maybe I was spoiled by the amazing Nurse Practitioners at North Carolina State University, but I think there could have been a little more friendliness. The whole appointment took less than five minutes for her to tell me that I had a cold. Overall, when I have an appointment I expect to be seen as close to on time as possible. However, I understand that things occur, and would have been more than understanding if I had been given the common courtesy of an explanation for my 1 hour + wait, or even professional warmth.

This is absolutely the worst practice I have ever patronized in my many decades of living! Their only saving grace is Dr.Rashid, who is always in the office on a daily basis and takes time to educate his patients. Dr. Casey is rude and doesnt take time to explain what her hypothesis is with regards to your illness, medications nor tests required. No people skills what so ever. She is almost never available for her patients because of her three day work schedule and Dr. Oei is even worst due to her two day schedule. Such a waste of medical school slots. If they didnt want to practice medicine, why did they take up valuable medical school slots that could have been used by people who are passionate about medicine and patients health. They dont have to worry about this patient any longer. Im on a quest to find a physician that cares and is passionate about educating patients and helping them on their path to optimal health.

I have been seeing Dr. Inam Rashid for a few years now. I have no complaints with him and actually like him. But, two doctors that my wife was seeing both left. Another female doctor that my wife was planning on seeing has also left. They cant seem to keep their female doctors. Regarding other complaints about difficulty in getting someone to answer the phone, that is true. The trick is that they seem to want you to use an on-line system for making appointments and asking questions. Make an appointment on-line, get set up with MyChart, and dont waste your time trying to make a phone call.

This is an exceptional medical practice. The doctors and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. They take the time to discuss medical concerns and are committed to patient care advocacy. I have over ten years experience in the medical lab field and have past experience in family medicine/internal medicine and cardiology; they met and exceeded all my high expectations. I proudly endorse them and their practitioners. Superlative. I would strongly recommend a friend or family member to this practice and trust their medical opinion with the highest regard.

This is a TERRIBLE practice. ALL calls go straight to VM at any time of day. Operator is offsite and can not help you reach anyone that can help. Better have your phone phone handy at all times, because average call back time is 48 hours (IF AT ALL)! If you miss the call, there is no direct call back number, so just enter the queue again and another 2 days of your life will pass. Been trying to get information for a week now, still no luck. We will not continue our patronage of this place.

This place is good, but when they have a lunch they not answer the phone and it is from 11:30 to 2:30 at list. I never see a lunch that long, but this is the nurses we talking about, they may have to sleep after lunch, like they do in Asia. If you need to talk with them between this hours do not wasting your time, they keep saying "WE ARE BUSY", dont buy it, its not true . Other than that, this is a best place by far.
