I have been taking my animals to Brightwood for about 2 years now. I am finally ready to say that I will never make another appointment at this place again. In my experiences, I have been given medicine that would help alleviate the symptoms of a problem, but would not solve the actual problem, therefore requiring me to go back for more treatment. It costs $50 just to have an appointment at this place, plus all of the tests and products they will push onto you that are not needed. In fact, one time I was even told by the vet that a condition they wanted to test for was very, very unlikely, but they were going to test for it anyways. This was during the same visit after my animal received his diagnosis already. They squeeze you for every penny they can and if you refuse something, YOU are made out to look like a bad animal owner. I am so very disappointed by all the time and money I have wasted coming here. This place will take four appointments and $600 to alleviate a problem that could be resolved in one visit and one prescription at any ethical veterinarians office. I have consulted 3 different vets since leaving this practice and all of them have told me that I have been ripped off with the type of unnecessary treatments Ive received at this facility. Please heed my warning and save your money and time! Your pet does not need the stress of having to revisit the vet several times in a row due to malpractice and extortion. Also, I just have to say that I dont understand how "the owner" is responding to the previous negative reviews with explanations without knowing who the person or pet is, as they have not given their full names or pets names. If they have to make up excuses to make the customer look like the bad guy, that speaks a lot to the integrity of this practice. Stay away!

Horrible. Spent tons of money here for 0 answers for my cats seizure problem he started having, The Vet Dr.Podijil Shows no compassion for my cat and wisks thru the checkup to move on, She showed no real attention or care to him in 3 vet visits and takes days to respond my serious calls when Im having major issues and need to speak with a vet. I love my cat and show him the best life I can against his odds , everytime I come here I feel belittled because I cant pay the 1300$ dollars in tests they wanna do which some dont even relate to the issue " RESEARCHED " Everytime I leave I have no Answers or even a clue or idea, A huge bill in hand and a lifetime perscription that doesnt even treat the issue other then dope him up like a zombie to curb the seizures. If you want compassion DONT GO HERE, If your rich and like to give people your money with no returns this is the place for you. ALSO last thing since I have left here, I found a new vet GATEWAY ANIMAL HOSPITAL, ABBEY AVE, CLEVELAND, They are GREAT, They show compassion and they actually CARE about you and your PET!!! I have made so much more progess here and spent a third of the money "Yes I am lower middle class but I work hard" Money isnt a object for me when it comes to my pal but alot of people no matter ho much they care can just fork out these absurd amounts they ask for. We have been taking our 2 dobermans here since they were puppies and could not be happier with the care that they receive at each office visit. We have seen all of the veterinarians at some time or another, however our dogs primary vet is Dr Fraser. He has always treated our dogs with compassion and done what is best for them. Most recently our 4 year old dog presented with symptoms and Dr Fraser unfortunately diagnosed him with Lymphoma. Dr Fraser has worked closley with my husband and I since he was diagnosed in March and Im pleased to say that he is tolerating his chemotherapy well. Dr Fraser was so wonderful when he was first diagnosed presenting us with various treatment options and evidence based protocols all the while keeping cost in mind. We made a decision along wih Dr Fraser as to what protocol we were most comfortable with and he has been so helpful over the past few months. We are so grateful and thankful to Dr Fraser and all the staff at Brightwood. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good, honest, and caring place to take their beloved family pet.

I have always been pleased with the Quality and Service we have gotten at Brightwood Animal Hospital after being referred by Ray & Shelly Zammit. We now refer peolple to your practice. After Buddy was diagnosed with daibetes a month or so back we had to change his food and give insulin shots which thank you they are helping him extend his happy life. 1 special thing happened at your office last week which meant a lot to me and my wife. I was purchasing a 28 lb of dog food for buddy, but having back surgery just 3 weeks before I was not aloud to lift more than 5 pounds, I was very hesitant to ask for help as that is not common for me to ask a young lady to carry something for me to my car, that was just the way I was raised, but I did ask and your wonderful team member, I a sorry I do not remeber her name, at the front did not hesitate to do that for me. So THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Do not take your cat to be groomed here! I took mine in for a full spa treatment. The groomer split not one but TWO of her nails and tried to tell me it happened while she was shaving her belly. Im pretty sure she split her nails while clipping them and just tried blaming it on the cat. The groomer had told me her paws had bled but it had stopped. Well as soon as I get home I see that they are STILL bleeding. I called the emergency line and the person on the other line said the same thing...oh it happens but she should be just fine. One week later - both of my cats paws are infected. So instead of sending antibiotics home WITH me just in case, I now have to pay more money to heal my little one because the groomer screwed up. Never taking my cats there again - you shouldnt either. A spa day for my animal turned into just another costly, stressful trip to the vet.

I would give this vet 0 stars! I have been taking my dog to Brightwood for about a year. In July we took him in and they informed me he needed a dental cleaning. After he came out of surgery they called me to let me know how it went. How it went was the vet pulled almost half of his teeth out. 18 teeth to be exact. No one called before, they did anything, to see if we wanted to try to save the teeth or what other options we might have had, before they made the decision for us. Then the vet never called untill the following day only after I called twice, and they told me my 5 yr old dog should have the same quality of life. However the vet I took him to for the follow up completely disagreed, and told me this should not have happened. Obviously the vets at Brightwood, have lost their compassion for animals and there families.
