I have gone to Rutledge for the last 9 years and never had a problem. Today, I had a follow up appointment, and someone scheduled my appointment for the wrong time than what I had requested. Receptionist, Kathy, was extremely rude, telling me it was my fault and that I was wrong, even though I had my appointment time written down. Someone had also told me to not wear contacts when they called, but she told me the doctor would not see me without my contacts in. She was very snarky and rude, even though up to that point I had been polite. I asked for my perscription and she refused to give it to me. Overall, with the staff changes at Rutledge, I will not be going back.

Mary, the receptionist, never looked up as she said, "Name, please". I asked her name but she threw a clipboard on the counter and, without looking up, told me to fill it out. I asked her again what her name was. She responded by telling me again to fill out the page on the clipboard. I stopped, looked at her and asked her to please tell me her name. It continued downhill from there. She never once smiled or treated me as a customer. Another employee was concerned enough to come and see the debacle but not conscientious enough to stop a customer from being abused. If thats what happens out front it scares me to think of what happens in the back.

Theyre nice enough folks, but man will they nickel and dime you for everything they can. Theyll quote you a lens/frame combo that fits your budget, then come the add-ons.. Before you know it your basic reading glasses are $400 WITH insurance. If you must use them for contacts, get your prescription and fill it via 1-800 contacts, youll save a fortune. Though they wont give you your script if you dont come in for a fitting which insurance usually doesnt cover. My contacts fit me, Ive had them for 15 years. . Cant believe its taken me this long to move on. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

My in-laws have been going to this office for years and always say such good things about the staff and the frame selection. I recently scheduled myself and my husband appointments there. The lady who greeted us at the front was so nice! They have the cool picture of they eyes so that we didnt have to be dilated that day which was awesome. While my husband was ordering his glasses the gal who was helping him pick everything out was very knowledgeable of the lens options and helped us pick out a nice frame that fits him well and we got the glasses back pretty quick too. We definitely be back next year!

Clean office, efficient and friendly office staff and pleasant doctor. Overall this was a great visit. When I signed in, I was immediately taken back to start the exam, which was a great deal more thorough then my previous doctors. The doctor took the time to talk and relate to me, and clearly answered my questions. I was in an out within 25 minutes and spent the entire time with either the doctor or the assistant. This office respects their patients time, which is huge with me.

Weve been patients for about 2 years. My husband and I both have terrible vision, and now 1 of my kids in starting to wear glasses. The optometrists are thorough. The staff is very helpful. They do not rush you, and take their time in the fittings. The childrens package was reasonably priced. Most importantly, Rutledge has a large selection of frames.

I recently had an eye exam there, and I have found my new eye care place! The staff was super friendly, the doctor was very thorough and explained everything to me, and their office looked very nice and clean. They have the best frame selection Ive seen, there are tons! I would absolutely refer this place to anyone!!

Very friendly staff that is willing to help out. Ive never been disappointed with the staff and they are very friendly. Im not sure about the Run for your life review but my experience has always been very different.
