Even before I started working for BrightStar Care West Portland, I was impressed by their professionalism and the true care they showed for their clients. All of their policies and procedures are in place and functioning. The staff in the office are diligent and caring and make sure the experience for the clients and their families are the best they can be. I have been a nurse in long-term care in this area for many years and have seen the best and the worst there is. BrightStar is the best of the best from what I have seen. I had interactions with their staff while working in a local Foster Home and they truly bent over backwards for a difficult client and their family. It was a tough situation for all concerned - but BrightStar worked very hard, paid close attention to details and really made it work. The client and family ended up being happy and satisfied. The Caregivers, CNAs and Nurses are all knowledgeable, intelligent, caring and well-trained. We pride ourselves on matching our clients with staff that ensures the care is top-notch. We spend a lot of time with new clients to develop Care Plans that fit them to a "T". As I said earlier, I have worked in this industry for a very long time and BrightStar is one of the best places that I am lucky enough to work for. I have no problem promoting BrightStar. Its a wonderful answer when you need some extra care and help and it is the best place in the world to work for as well!

GROSS! These people come to our apartments everyday and wash the dirty sheets of their client, they never rinse them first. This means every morning we have to smell $#it in the whole parking lot. Also I can obviously never do laundry because all the washers and dryers are full of BM. Also the caregivers sit out front by the laundry room and smoke which is illegal and they throw cigarette buts all over in front of my apartment. I have called them about this for over a year and it never changes. I would not ever recommend that anyone should use this company to care for a relative that you care about.

It was a very difficult time making the decision to bring people into our home to care for my father. He was living alone and just not as physically capable as he once was. The Brightstar caregivers easily fit into the situation, were very friendly, caring, and my dad I think really enjoyed having the company besides. They were very professional and accommodating and I and my sisters, thank you all so very much. It takes a very committed special person to do what all of you do. Thank you. AM
