I have visited Dr. Forester twice. He has fitted me for a nightguard, completed a filling (with no anesthesia and no pain whatsoever!), done X-rays, photos and his staff has completed one cleaning. I am used to very high quality care coming from the San Francisco Bay Area (Palo Alto) and Bellevue, WA (near Microsoft). Dr. Forester and staff met my high standards. I am extremely happy with his service and the cost. What matters most to me in a dentist is that they are able to work with me to provide the care that will be the best for the long-term health of my teeth. (Im just not as interested in pampering such as drinks or little hot towels, but I think he has them anyway.) Dr. Forester is extremely smart about what he does, but he explains everything logically and in plain English so you know whats going on. He does little things to make sure you are comfortable and understand what hes doing. Its clear he stays up-to-date on the latest teachings and technology because he talks about them with you. The staff, Tiffany, and the hygienist, Bo, also go the extra mile to make sure you know what they are about to do and understand the reasoning behind their advice. The office is comfortable, the equipment all seemed state-of-the-art from my experience. I pay cash. The prices are about half of what I was paying in Bellevue, WA. I could not hope for a better dentist.

I highly recommend Hillside Dental. Dr. Forster and his team are all incredibly caring and competent. I couldnt be happier with the work I have had done including whitening, a new bridge and a new cap. I have really sensitive teeth and an overall aversion to getting major dentist work done after having a major accident years ago. Dr. Forster was an active listener, he explained all potential options and the pros and cons, and then gave me time to both think through my options and gear up to have more work done on my teeth. I finally decided to proceed late in the game and caused a bit of a scheduling challenge as I work full time and we are moving out of the country soon. He squeezed all my appts in and even came in really early one morning after an unexpected death in my family. He and his team were incredibly sensitive to pain/discomfort and helped me work through the process with seemingly never ending patience. Now, the best part of all is that my teeth are amazingly beautiful and I think they were almost as excited as I was with the outcome. My husband has had a ton of work done as well and is also very pleased. We will be reserving all our dental work for when we return for home leave so that we can go back to them!

I am a new patient at Hillside Dental and went in for my exam and cleaning. I was embarrassed that it had been so long.... Over a decade! My fault, of course. I found the staff both friendly and very professional. They didnt sugar coat my treatment, (pun intended) or berate me for my lack of care in the past, (although I earned it). Jennifer handled my cleaning with a steady hand. She did a great job, (despite what she was working with), and took the time needed to polish the heck out of my teeth. Dr. Andrew Foster was extremely personable, treated me like a human being and threw me some witty quotes while he was at it. The news wasnt good, but thats what I get for neglecting myself in the past. Looks like Ill be seeing plenty more of this friendly staff in the up and coming days. YAY!! Carly, at the front desk, gave me a comprehensive reading of my plan and explained the insurance so I could grasp it well. She also made sure to let me know that the treatment was up to me and could be catered to my needs. -Trust me when I say... Ill be taking great care of these teeth after this is over with and will be back for the bi-annual check up and cleaning. Thank you Hillside dental at Bethany! ~Adam

Choosing the right dentist can be one of the toughest and scariest things to do when moving to a new place. I am so glad to say that I was so very fortunate to have found Hillside Dental. I usually dont write reviews about businesses online, but I am compelled to do so when the service and professionalism goes above and beyond my expectations. Dr. Forster and his team are all incredibly welcoming, caring, competent, and super friendly. I could not be happier with the experience Ive had during my two visits. The attention to detail and incredible dentistry skills that Dr. Forster possesses made my dental work painless. Never before in all my years of getting check-ups, fillings, and root canals have I EVER been able to say the word "painless" to describe the experience. Another thing I liked about Dr. Forster was the way he explained all the pros and cons of my dental options. Communication skills are important in order to earn my trust and make me feel at ease. The office was also able to meet all of my scheduling challenges and even offered flexible options for follow up appointments. I highly recommend Dr. Forster and his team to anyone searching for a new dentist.

Patients beware, this dental office has office policy that is predatory and out of date with our busy lives. fist they goat you in to an appointment 6 months out and expect you to drop everything that day. if for some strange reason you are unable to make that appointment they feel its in their right to collect $50 from you, even if they are unable to confirm the appointment with you. we found this out the hard way as we were out of town for an extended time when this appointment came up.... Hillside dental shame on you. This is not a normal office policy and is detrimental to normal working adults. Avoid hillside dental if you can. Change dental offices if you can.

My whole family including two little ones go here for our regular check-ups. Friendly and very helpful staffs and a great Dr.! And of course they are very professional. I had been a customer of Bright Now dental before moving to Bethany area and I was not really a happy customer but ever since finding Hillside dental three years ago Ive been a really happy customer. No more looking for a good dental office as long as I live in Portland.

My husband and I both go and we liked it. I agree with a previous review, that cleaning is not the most amazing, but when has visiting the dentist been super comfortable? Overall, super friendly, worked with our schedule and our insurance with ease.Well go back.

Dr. Forster is wonderful. He was able to alleviate the pain from a broken tooth quickly and then schedule an appointment to fix the tooth completely. He is very conscientious and his staff is very likeable. Im glad to have Dr. Forster as my dentist.
