Extremely unprofessional and shady practice. I have never had an issue with a doctors office and their business practices until now. I had called to see if they were accepting new patients, and if so would like to schedule my yearly physical. When I arrived at the office, I was ignored the receptionist for an awkward amount of time. I brushed this off, and the nurse that greeted me was kind and warm. When I filled out the paperwork for the reason for the visit, I listed "wellness check and other minor health concerns." I clicked well with the nurse practitioner, Kitty, and when asked about my overall health I mentioned light cramping, but wasnt concerned as I recently gave birth and it was probably just my menstrual cycle returning. Normal chatter when getting to know a new doctor and describing minor grievances. She said she would categorize the visit as a physical since the front office had it set as a new patient regular office visit. I remember this because I thanked her after saying many times that I hadnt been to the doctor in a while (Other than pregnancy) and insurance covers my preventative health yearly visits and thats what I was there for. She said she would do a pap smear as part of the physical but I would have to come back next week. Blood work and all other aspects of "the physical" were done the first visit. The next week I waited over an hour with a wiggly, fussy baby before seeing the nurse practitioner no more than 10 mins. Pap smear done and in and out. Soon after, I received a bill for $150. Confused, as my insurance fully covers the appointment, I call and ask to speak to the billing dept. She says that Kitty does her own billing and I will talk to her. When she finally calls me, she is cold and condescending and says "You came in for abdominal pain. You dont get to talk about any health concerns during a physical." Whaaaat? Im pretty sure thats what seeing a doctor regularly is for. When I say "You even said you were billing this as a physical and everything was done besides the pap?" She ignores this and just repeats "You came in for abdominal pain." No. I did not. I called asking for a physical, stated the reason for my visit on the paperwork as my yearly wellness check, and when talking to Kitty I repeated that I just wanted to check everything up since I hadnt been in a while. I couldnt have been more clear. Yet...they bill me twice and leave me with $150 bill that was supposed to be covered. After several go arounds of her not budging on the phone, she dumps it in the lap of the office manager who says the same thing "Kitty does her billing." So, moral of the story is that this practice is clearly out for as much money as they can possibly get from you, even dishonestly. They only get $39 from insurance for a physical, so I guess that stolen $150 from me was more important that a potential long term patient. If you do decide to use them, be sure not to mention any health concerns at your check up like a normal person, thats against the rules!!!

Dr. Grossmann is my favorite doctor of all time. Ive been to multiple doctors in the Austin area and no one else compares. Dr. Grossmann will actually sit and LISTEN which is amazing. She cares about the overall health of her patients. She is cautious with prescriptions which I truly respect. Most doctors would rather throw pills at a problem and not treat the root cause. She doesnt sugar coat things which I respect as well. If you need to lose weight shell tell you. Dr. Grossmann stays well versed in the newest scientific research and can answer questions quite specifically even if she is put on the spot. For all the folks that gave bad reviews (besides the billing issues which have nothing to do with the doctors knowledge base) I saw that pain medication was a main issue. Dr. Grossmann will not prescribe narcotics as freely most doctors do. She is cautious and cares about the long term health of her patients. There are multiple pain management doctors in the area so folks should meet with them instead. I respect her decision to not deal with pain medications as people can become addicted and this can be detrimental to the patients overall health. So, if youd like a doctor who takes time to get to know you, who keeps her expertise up-to-date, and who will treat the underlying cause of your illnesses you should give Dr. Grossmann a call.

Dr. Grossmann was my Doctor for several years. I have been on blood pressure medicine for high blood pressure. When I went to the pharmacy to try to refil my prescription, they told me it was denied. I called the office and they told me I owed them money and they had sent me to collections and I was no longer allowed back at the practice. I offered to pay over the phone then and they refused. However, THEY had my billing address wrong. They also claimed they "tried to call me" but I never had any messages or missed phone calls from the office. The amount I owed was slightly over $100 so not a huge amount. I again offered to pay and they again refused. I asked if I could at least get a weeks worth of blood pressure medicine so I could find a new doctor. They REFUSED. This is the most unethical and unprofessional thing Ive ever encountered in my life. I thought doctors were supposed to do no harm. Its not like it was optional meds that I didnt need to take. This was blood pressure meds that I needed to take daily and their refusal to even give me 1 weeks worth of prescription is the most obnoxious thing I have ever encountered. Its obvious this practice and doctor have absolutely no regard for peoples safety. NEVER NEVER go to a practice that is all about money and not about your health.

Ms. Alicia W. Grossmann, (she doesnt deserve to consider herself a doctor) as well as her staff, specifically her incompetent billing department, are categorically horrid. Dee and Sandra have horrible communication tactics and are incapable of remembering the specific details of their conversations with their clients and these poor clients become undeserving victims of unauthorized payments and criminal fraudulence. They have caused me so many problems by charging my checking account an amount that they did not discuss with me prior. My account was charged an amount that was not agreed upon and therefore I was unable to purchase critical diabetic and respiratory medications, leading to multiple asthma attacks and dangerous blood sugar spikes. I have been trying to solve this problem with them and even though they admit to making mistakes, they are unwilling to actually admit that these mistakes are what is causing them to commit criminal fraudulence. Not only that, Ms. Grossmann subscribed medication to me that is well known to cause kidney disease. These people are criminal in the way that they do business.

I have never written a review about a doctor until now. I read the reviews on Dr. Grossman and decided that I would see her. I went to her for chronic back pain and asthma. I had been in the ER recently due to mutilple back spasms. I told the front office of my visits before making the appt. We discussed my chronic back pain and the medications that I had been taking for his problem. I went to have my prescriptions filled and noticed that the medication for a muscle relaxant was not listed. I called office several times over a two day period. They finally told me that back treating back pain was not her specialty and Dr. Grossman was "not qualified" to treat back spasms. She then told me the doctor would not prescribe me any medication for it. I was in total shock. I told the person on the phone that I was in extreme pain. She told me that there wasnt anything that they could do. I then told her that did want to go back to the ER. She suggested that I do that. Are you crazy? What does she treat? Needless to say that will never, ever go back to this office again....a doctor who wont treat pain!
