If you are gonna have a baby, DO NOT GO TO THE WOMENS CORNER!! GO ELSE WHERE!! A family member had her baby in the Womens Corner, it was a horrible experience. The nurses were rude. Also what bothered me a lot was tha they wanted her to breastfeed the baby, which i now is the best, but when the moms breast makes it impossible no matter how much the mom wanted to breastfeed her baby, it was just not gonna happen. I called the nursery and explained the condition which they shouldve checked in the first place since they were all hardcore on breastfeeding, and told them that it was gonna be impossible, that the mom does want to breastfeed but its impossible, and she might need a breast pump so that maybe that problem could be resolved, or bring a damn bottle because that baby had not eaten since she was born and it was practically the whole day of the baby starving, they did have pumps but no breast shields, nice, other hospitals do have the necessary stuff to help the mom and baby. And they were impossible with this, her breast were inadequate and they refused to bring a bottle, i had to call for the bottle a few times, and they finally understood that breastfeeding was just not gonna happen. And to top it off the nurses were soooo horribly rude with the visitors and the patients. And at the delivery they looked like morrons, they had trouble, the patients grandmother had to actually be there helping with the baby!!!!

It amazes me how insignificant the staff can make an ill person feel. Ive had 2 close family members be admitted within the past 3 months here. One, sadly, passed away, and the other does not have not 1 mean bone in her body so she will never speak up about this place. I understand everyone has a job to fulfill and responsibilities to carry out, but do they have to be so inconsiderate and cold towards someone who has a fatal illness? The person was dying right in front of them and no one wanted to care for his wound. We called staff several times, the nurse, the CNA, advising them that our relative needed attention. He had soiled himself and was bleeding, and the nurse had the nerve to say "Oh did you bring your supplies to clean him? I cant do that here, we ran out of supplies." We responded that this IS a hospital and we assumed we did not have to bring our own supplies. Her response "Mam, here you do, we dont have anything to clean his bag with. Next time, bring his supplies. Im not his nurse, im not even from here, im a floating nurse. This Obamacare is awful and the hospital doesnt want to pay for anything. Its bad here." I was dumbfounded, to say the very least. How sad.

My family and I had a terrible experience with one of the nurses there. My sis had been diagnosed with a very bad illness and everything at first seemed fine. Her doctor was wonderful and the staff. However one of the nurses there his name is Patrick (an African -American Im assuming), treated my family very poorly towards the end. In the begging when the doctor tells you the horrific news, you pin on you and it never leaves you. We were heartbroken all that time with the news. Although my sis is very strong at heart we were feeling like anyone would. Anyway, this nurse had given instructions to my mom on how to remove the contents in one her bags that my sis had attached to her. Well she had to get instructions on how to do that again cause she had forgotten. This idiot nurse commented, "You all are adult, you should know by know". That to me is very unprofessional and it just made my mom feel so bad. I think that no matter if youre a nurse you should understand what your seriously ill patient are going through and show them no matter how many time, thats your job, be patient and understanding. I will think very hard to get treatment at this hospital for Sure.

My brother had started developing back pain and was rushed in the ambulance, then when he got there to the ER he was on a gurney in the hall the rest of the time he was there, so it was from 9:40pm- 3:30am he was in the hall way where they gave him a big dose of pain reliever and did not do much, besides take tests, then we waited till 3am for him to tell us he came out dirty for marijuana on a piss test. doctor said did not affect him. Then did nothing at all to help my brothers back pain. He diagnose what is was. Thats it not much help, but at least we got a pescription. However, thats okay because my brother didnt have insurance and they still took him anyway, which means a lot considering Obama shity health care.. Concluding to fact, I would recommend more night staff doctors, none of the bullshit nurses that belong in daytime clinic.

VA Patient here. In March I was admitted. Edinburg Regional chose to use a sub contractor (Edinburg Radiology llp) for radiology services. Edinburg Regional gave their bill to VA and it was paid immediately -no problem. All other contractors were paid as well. But Edinburg Radiology (Linda Lee) decided to send me to collections rather than send the bill to VA for payment. My question is, "Why does Edinburg Regional use such inept sub contractor. In this case I have told this company both verbally and in writing VA is waiting for their bill to pay it. Linda Lee response is if a customer wont pay their bill- we turn them to collection. Too busy to send bill to VA.

Went in with pain on my central right hand side of my abdomen and what I know now to be ascite. Also shortness of breath. They told me my pressure was high and that I tested positive for metampethamines.I dont even know what that is . I told them I had been taking mucinex cough syrup for 3 days. The Dr said thats not it. I looked it up and it can cause false positives. The Dr was very rude and sent me home with nothing. I was the same. Two days later I was admitted into McAllen heart hospital for kidney failure, extreme as cites, cirrhosis and was in for 6 days! When Edinburg regional sent me home. Thanks a lot.

My wife gave birth twice at The Womens Corner, with no problems! The staff was amazingly sweet, kind, and checked on us every hour to make sure she was ok. The nurses from the nursery were amazing as well, Andrea, and Julia were all about our son and daughter making sure they were ok, their temps were good, and they were clean. I know many friends and family members that have given birth there as well, all with nothing but great things to say about the, hospital, staff, and experience. Even the administrator Jerome, and Jennifer came by to see our newborns and check on my wife!

We spent 1.5 hours waiting in pediatric radiology for an ultrasound on my daughter. The tech took the paperwork and simply dissappeared. One of the doctors I asked for help took an "I dont work in this department, not my problem" attitude. Fortunately another was helpful and put me in contact with a supervisor who promised to check on the missing tech. It was another 0.5 hours before the tech showed up. With the exception of the one doctor who went out of his way to help, Im not impressed with the commitment to the public health that this institution purportedly aspires to.
