The Doctors themselves have been good and have taken care of my needs. The staff in the front office is incompetent and uncaring. My most recent experience has to do with referrals. I had an appointment in December in which 3 referrals were requested. I gave the front office a different mailing address for the referrals. After waiting about 2 or 3 months I decided to check up on them to find out where they were mailed. I was not surprised to discover that they had been mailed to the old address. Now of course the referrals are no good and will have to be requested again and I will have to depend on the front office to change an address. There have been several other experiences that I wont go into detail at this time. I am not sure who hires these incompetent uncaring people but some one needs to step up and solve this problem. I left a message for the front office to return my call. The office manager did return my phone call and promised to take care of my issues, hopefully it will be done. This is a follow up to the above review -- March 9, 2015 The doctors office has now lied to me. I think this is inexcusable. I received a call this morning from the office (Jennifer) asking what referrals I needed, I responded "You dont know, they should be in your computer.". I said these referrals should have been mailed out 3 months ago. She said they were mailed on December 18. This is an out and out lie on 2 levels, First I hadnt even been to the doctor prior to or on that date, secondly, if the referrals were mailed, why was she calling me to ask what referrals were needed? I have an appointment on the 19th for a follow up on my lab work, I intend to complain bitterly to the the Doctor, if no corrective action is taken, I will be given little choice but to change doctors, but its doubtful they will care since I am a medicare patient and they dont make any money with me anyway.

Made an appointment for 10:30 for blood work only, signed in at 10:25. The lady behind me signed in for blood work and did not have an appointment. She questioned the wait time around 10:45 and so they took her insurance info, and ended up calling her back around 11, before me. They called me right after her and said "you will be right after her". I said "I guess its better not to have an appointment, she came in after me with no appointment and was called back first". To which they had no response. Might have been the front desks fault for taking her insurance info before mine, but either way it wasnt handled correctly. Having waited much longer than 30 minutes at most offices, it wasnt the wait time I was complaining about, but the fact that they called someone who came in without an appointment (who came in after) before a person who actually took the time to schedule an appt. And when I said something, I didnt even get an apology, still had to wait behind that person. Also, I was there for blood work requested by my trainer. I had a list written down of what she wanted tested, I called to make my appointment and asked if I needed to see a doctor or if I could just go in to get the blood work. The person told me I could just come in and did not have to see a doctor. When I was up to get my blood work the people told me I needed doctors orders. I told them I was not notified of this, all I had was a list. We kept going back and forth and I finally said "Can I see a doctor here?", something they never offered. They went back and asked the doctor and he told them it was ok and to just to blood work for a physical plus what I requested. I was given such a hard time for nothing, and had to create my own solution. The location is convenient and the wait time wasnt bad but I definitely wouldnt recommend them because of the staff.

I must agree with the wait times, even scheduled appointments take a long time.... But.... I rather have a doctor who sits there and listens to me and puts quality time into my visit than one who rushes you off because he wants to empty the waiting area. Reality is we are not the only patient. Obamacare has put a lot of strain and pressure on practices also keep that in mind. Now as a patient I can request to not overbook so many patients so heavily, this should relieve some of the wait at the offices, tho they cant help walk-ins and emergencies any more than any other office can. Both Dr Reyes and NP Lerma have taken care of my entire family and always with love, care and compassion. Dont run because of inpatient reviews. But know what to expect.

I have been a patient here for about 7 months or so. Every time I come in I have to wait at least an hour, even though I have a set appointment. I work in the health care field so I try to give them the benefit of the doubt but I am extremely tired of waiting. One time I waited for almost two hours, even though I had an appointment. They have no regard for anyone elses time but their own. They do not care at all. I will be looking for another provider. Do not choose this place as a primary care facility!

Appointment was for 12:45 and they didnt call us back until after I complained. I had an appointment. Pulled my son out of school for us to wait at the office! The Helotes office is so slow. 1604 is much better (would have been seen quicker as a walk in!!!) We have a family of 8 and I am not pleased with the disorganization of the front. I really like the doctors but the front office needs to get it together. Maybe pay an experienced front office manager... Seems like they are ruining the business.

My mother has been going here for a couple of years now. We liked it because it was convenient but the service is horrible waiting time is ridiculous. Why set an appointment if your not going to be seen for over an hour. Front desk unfriendly and everyone seems to be running, maybe more staff would help not sure. Convenience is not worth this service time for a change. This is for the clinic in Helotes off Bandera Rd.

With the bar being set so low these days, I would say a visit here is par to the course. The staff does the best they can considering the massive amount of paper work and the work load. The doctors are just fine. This is a family facility of general practice doctors. If you want better treatment and service, go see a specialist.ive been going here for 5 years. It was better before Obamacare.
