Ive been taking Mojo (senior greyhound) to Bissonnet Southhampton for years. Not just for preventative care and teeth cleaning, but we prefer to board here, too. Pros: I can call in with questions like "Should I be worried that my dog at 3 kitkat bars?" and "Can I drop off a sample, I think he picked up worms?" and theyll give me a response right away. All staff is knowledgeable and very polite, from the techs to the vets. And, just for future reference, you CAN drop off just a sample if youre up to date on exams. Much easier than having to bring the whole dog in! Cons: PARKING. Its a nightmare to try to back into or out of the parking lot with a 75 pound dog in the back seat. Also the building itself, since it is an old house, is very creaky and quite loud when there is a full house. Overall, very pleased with the level of care and wont take my dog anywhere else for medical or dental treatment. Boarding books up fast so Ive been known to use someone else, but I try not to if I can help it. Ive never had anyone push any product on me, FYI. I mean, theyll tell you about something new (like oral flea + heartworm when it came out a few years ago) but if you arent interested, they move on. Ive never felt harangued or anything.

I rated this clinic above average based on my experience, but they are quite expensive. Everyone was very friendly, and the vets and techs were all caring and knowledgeable. I took my dog in for his annual checkup, which included vaccinations and bloodwork. Add on heartworm and Frontline, and our bill was just shy of $500...which I did not expect! Im from Ohio, and the average visit up there would be between $150 and $200, so needless to say I was speechless when I got the invoice! Maybe things are just more expensive here in Houston, but I dont know. I would love to take my dog back to this vet, but Ill need a raise at my job first! If youve got the money, check it out. Otherwise let your pocketbook be warned!

I have been taking my three dogs to Bissonnet Southampton for years. I would not dream of taking them anywhere else. I have never been forced to buy anything that could be deemed unnecessary. All of the vets are very kind and caring. The staff always calls to check on the pet following any procedures. I highly recommend them to any and all pet lovers. It is obvious that others feel the same way because the clients I meet in the lobby are usually long time customers wtih multiple pets. It is not dirty, smelly or overpriced. Obviously, someone just wanted to complain about something. No pet would ever be neglected at Bissonnet Southampton. I dare you to find a better place to take your pets.

I had a very poor experience when visiting the Bissonnet-Southampton Vet Clinic. While the staff in the waiting room was quite nice, I felt as though once I entered the exam room, I was spontaneously being bombarded with crappy products (a dog food with corn as the first ingredient, and meat byproduct as the second... recommended and sold by the vet!), unnecessary procedures, and fear mongering (Im glad I had done research on many of the vets chosen topics, otherwise I wouldve been scared to death that I was ruining my puppies life)! My new rule of thumb: Do not visit a vet who recommends a very unhealthy dog food... theyre just trying to increase the frequency of your visits!

If you have kitties, these guys are the best for them! As we all know, cats hate and protest any trip to the vet. Nothing is worse to them than being taken out of their home and to an unfamiliar place with strangers touching them. Dr. Nealon and the techs are amazing with cats. They have a soft mat for them rather than a cold steel table and fresh catnip to calm your kitties nerves. My kitty Benni hisses and growls at the vets, but did not do that once with anyone at Southampton. He was very calm and was treated very well by Dr. Nealon and the staff. I had a very good experience here with my baby Benni and would recommend to anyone that wants quality care for their pet.

The quality of a vet should always be exceptional, but Bissonnet-Southampton goes above and beyond on Service as well. I get reminder calls/emails before appointments, and they call a few days afterwards to follow-up on treatments and check for any questions. They make time for me during any unexpected crisis that happens more often than not with my black Standard Schnauzer. The online service/pharmacy is amazing as well and saves me time in my busy schedule. I cant believe I have moved away. They always say you dont know what a good thing you have til its gone.

Dr. Tippit and her staff take such good care of our girl. The staff is friendly and professional, and they get back to me immediately with any questions I may have. I had some questions about medication our dog was supposed to take and when I emailed, they wrote me back right away with the information I needed. When Dr. Tippit comes in the room, Réka is so happy to see her, which makes me a happy dog mom. :) The clinic is inside a charming house and it is always clean and quiet. I highly recommend Bissonnet Southhampton.

BEWARE! The worst clinic my family and I and our pet have ever experienced. This clinic is dirty, smelly, and overpriced. Not to mention the owner VET. If you dare to leave your pet here while vacationing, prepare for little to no care for your pet. Ours pet was clearly neglected. The reviews below are old. Please go elsewhere!

They hate deaf people.. If u want to. Be discriminated against this is the best place to go. Im being sarcastic of course anyway they do not support deaf people and they will treat you like an idiot. They think deaf people are less than and will back stab you and make you feel less then..

I just had an amazing experience here! My newly adopted dog needed to be seen for some swelling. They were able to see me on short notice and were wonderful with their treatment of my dogs situation. Will gladly go back again in the future!

Ive been bringing my pets here since 2006. My animals have probably been treated by all the vets here. Its fairly priced for the area and the doctors and staff are wonderful. I feel like my pets are under great care.
