After experiencing the tragic loss of my cat, I will never return to this vet again. My cat was having bad discharge (while not on her cycle) and crying in pain for about 4 days so I took her in. She was admittedly late on her vaccines but we never did them simply because she literally never went outside. She was strictly indoors. Dr. Washington saw my cat and said she had Pyometra but we had caught it in plenty of time and she would be fine. I asked over and over what the survival rate was and Im in the medical field so I understand that sometimes things go wrong but I was not expecting at all for my cat not to live through this. I dont feel as though I was properly educated or prepared for this situation, the Dr made me feel absolutely safe about her prognosis. She stated that they only thing that could go wrong is for the cat to get an infection and she didnt foresee that happening and it was extremely rare. So we had to have her fixed and because it was so serious, we had to remove her entire uterus. This service was expensive and I applied for Care Credit just to save my cat. My cat did well all weekend then all of a sudden she wouldnt move. We brought her back in on Monday for the doctor to give us stories about "this test and that test and this antibiotic," being needed etc, etc. Over $1200 later she said her blood work showed that shes HAD a bad infection and an X-ray showed she had pneumonia. I asked why these tests werent done before her surgery and nobody could give me answers and I believe those tests could have saved her life, since it turned out she passed because her kidneys failing. I believe delay in "patient" care is what killed our cat. If they had done certain tests showing infection prior to surgery, at the very least we could have saved her pain and saved money and put her down before putting her through a surgery she wasnt meant to survive anyway. We had to put her down and not even 3 minutes later I had a tech shoving a bill in my face. Dr. Washington had great bedside manner; she called me often at work with updates and was compassionate and I liked her, she empathsized and tried to comfort us.. but I do believe certain prelimanary tests should have been performed BEFORE her treatment and I do believe this clinic is all about the money. So over $1600 later, my cat still passed away and we lost a big part of our hearts that day. I will never recommend this clinic and I will never return. If youre reading this and have a female pet and dont plan to breed, I urge you to have your cat spayed. If I had done that when she was a kitten, even though she was an indoor cat, it would have saved her.

Let me begin saying that Ive been using this vet for 2 years. 4 times for pet sedated grooming and vaccinations. I have a Himalayan cat. The last grooming was horrible. My cat had red irritation spots along uneven cut and his mittens were cut. This is not done with Himmys or Persians. I explained to the vet office that I had many problems from the last grooming. Theyre response is that its my fault from not being specific on the haircut. Its a basic lion cut that is done all the time on Persians and Himmys. I asked about the Customer Appreciation program offered by other VCA hospitals where ever 10 grooming, then your 11th grooming is free. VCA Countryside said they dont do that. Well, thats enough for me. Luckily we live in an area, with VCA Spring only 2.5 miles away. They do offer customer appreciation. After this grooming, I will NEVER use VCA Countryside again. Dr Washingtons only response was to blame me as having not been able to keep my boy from having mats on his underside. This is typical of Persians. Anyone with a Himmy knows that matting is a very typical. Please avoid this vet. I never felt appreciated by this office until I pay $140- $200 for my office visits. This is not the kind of vet I want for my valued family member. less. Lets begin that Ive been using this vet for 2 years. 4 times for pet sedated grooming and vaccinations. I have a Himalayan cat. The staff and Dr. Washington are very compassionate people. They take walk-ins but if you want to shorten your wait time, schedule an appointment. They offer boarding and grooming which can contribute to it being a bit noisy. Dr. Washington and Dr. Pena, both are very informative and do their best to educate pet owners on proper pet care. I had my dog spayed and vaccinated. She was a bit rambunctious but with their training they were able to examine her. I felt relieved that it wasnt as stressful for my dog or me because I knew she was in great hands. Prices are reasonable they can work well with you on the treatment plans they offer. I say our visit was well worth it.

This place is a rip off! I brought my poodle in for stomach pains. They suggested I have several test done that cost around $600. I declined everything expect for the one specifically for the stomach. They said my dog had pancreatitis, which I dont believe. They then give me a treatment plan that cost $1,700, when I declined. They later came back with a $350 plan, 40 just for food. I chose that treatment minus the food. I was told the follow up visit was covered with the initial treatment; however, they charged $32 because I saw the doctor. Needless to say I will not be back and I suggest you find yourself an HONEST veterinary.

I took my dog to see Dr. Washington and her staff and they were extremely welcoming and kind. From the front reception to the vet technician, Dr. Washington/staff takes the time with her doggy patients to explain procedures and answer your questions. What i really appreciated is that you are presented with an upfront cost and given time to decide whats best for your pet with the expert advice of Dr. Washington. Thanks again for making us feel "# 1" while at our office visit! Our Brady (lab/pit mix) thanks you as well!

I just adopted a new kitty and was worried he had an eye thing going on. We had just spent $280 on some kittens we had found in a parking lot, to get them vet care and supplies so we were tapped out. I found VCA and a "new patient special coupon" where we would get our check up complimentary. I really appreciated their offer and it brought me in the door! Staff was nice, vet was friendly. The only big turn off was that it was a noisy facility. I would go back.
