We took our dog here on recommendation from family but we will never return. Point 1: Liars or negligent? Northpark Veterinary Hospital was provided with records from our previous vet (faxed directly from them as well as provided by us), however, they seemed to ignore the information. Our dog was given vaccinations for which he was not due for another 2 years. When I questioned Northpark Veterinary Hospital staff about this (before it was administered, mind you) they assured me they were correct (I later confirmed with my previous vet that they were, in fact, not correct in administering the vaccination). Point 2: What are they hiding? Furthermore, my dog was taken to a back room where I was not allowed to enter. Who knows, maybe they really didnt give him the shot but still charged me for it. I cant say since I wasnt allowed to enter. In either case, it is bad business practice. Point 3: Money! Thats what they want. This was proven to me at least three times that I can recall. First, is charging me for a shot that my dog didnt need. Second, is pushing medication that they carry at a marked up price - Northpark Vet Hospital basically "force" you to buy the heart worm pills from them first and they charge more than should be required for a place that gets it in bulk. Third, is spreading lies (hmm, pattern developing) about PetMeds having "old" or "bad" medicine. Northpark Vet Hospital will make it difficult to get the verification from them (you have to sign a fracking waver!) Really. Be cautious about those other 5-star reviews, they seem suspiciously timed and do not use real names - most likely ploys by the owner to show up with a good rating. *offered discounts??* The cons just keep coming from these people. If you just want to have a good vet that at least seems to care, do not go here. If you do not care about money or being present with your pet, then this is your place. Zero stars.

(See update at the end of the review as well) We were customers there for about a year. The vets seem capable and friendly and the staff is very friendly, but the front office is horribly disorganized. Our dog was given multiples of the same vaccination because they dropped the ball on keeping records. Additionally, they apparently dont believe rescue organizations vaccinate properly, so your rescued pet will get double vaccinated. They failed to alert us when our pets were due for rabies shots, stating that it was an oversight and not in their system (happened more than once). I suppose if we did some more work on keeping records and keeping track of vaccines, we could manage all of that, but my wife and I both work full-time and we pay the vet to advise us on the health of our animals. Well be taking our business elsewhere. UPDATE: Upon reading this review, the owner followed up with us regarding our concerns, which took us by surprise and shows a lot of class. He mentioned that hes hired an additional staff member to coordinate vaccination records to ensure this does not happen. While I think our review is an important data point, I also think this update is an important data point as well if you are considering this establishment for your pets.

We have been with Dr. Hebert at Northpark Veterinary Hospital for twelve years. We have four dogs with special stories and unique health concerns over this time. You will not find a better, more knowledgeable, compassionate or patient doctor that is always there for you. Whether it be a large or small concern, an emergency or questions you may have. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and well trained for any situation and make sure all goes well even before you see the doctor. The hospital and kennel are always very clean and you can board with peace of mind, for the directions are always followed perfectly. We put our trust in the care of our "boys" no matter what their needs are or could be in the future in Dr. Hebert and his staff at Northpark Veterinary Hospital. We appreciate them and everything they have always done and continue to do for us.

Professional, courteous, friendly, and very caring...these guys at Northpark Veterinary Hospital are awesome. Ive been taking my pets here for 8 years. Gotta be honest--NEVER had a complaint with them. Their service is, bar-none, exceptional. If you took your pets here, you would be quick to see that the staff dont just have great care for your pets, but great care for you, too. Just recently, my Yorkie got sick and I brought him to Dr. Hebert. He made me feel as though I was the only client present. He treated my pet with a professional, thorough, and careful approach. As long as I live in the Kingwood area, Im not taking my pets anywhere else.

I am very happy with Dr. Hebert and his staff. I do not have a lot of money and Dr. Hebert knows this and has helped me and not just took my head off financially like several other doctors here in Kingwood have done. I have lived here 6 years and had 2 other vets but Dr. Hebert is the best. I have found several kittens with bad problems and took them to him and he has helped me and was more than fair on the money. Dr. Hebert truly cares about the animals and I have finally found my vet. I have very little money but I have a lot of animals and he is my choice. His staff is very sweet and helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

After looking over reviews I decided to bring my cat to Northpark. Although the staff was very friendly, the veterinarian was appallingly rough. Instead of interacting with my cat, he roughly placed him on the exam table, pinned him down and began to roughly examine him. I have never seen a vet use such force on an animal, especially on one that is characteristically social and laid back. He rudely deferred my questions about his health and was out of the room within three minutes. If you are looking for a clinic that provides quality care, Northpark Animal Hospital is not the place for you.

Dr. Hebert has taken care of my companion animal since arriving in Texas in 2006. He now cares for our new rescued lab mix dog as well. The staff is courteous and friendly with me and our family and we highly recommend his practice and him to all. *People know me as a huge animal lover and activist and often come to me for advice on dogs generally and also where we get our care. In the Houston metro area, I may have to drive a little farther to get to Dr. Hebert, but I trust his experience, education and his practice of veterinarian science.

I rarely feel compelled to take the time to write a review for a business. But with customer focused service & excellent care becoming increasingly difficult to find, I must say that Dr Hebert and his staff at NPVH are a breath of fresh air in a world where quality has seemingly been lost. While my dog has certainly found the best DVM around, the search continues for an MD that can get me quickly in & out of the door with the same caliber of service & care.

My animals (2 dogs, one cat) have always received the best care at NPVH. The staff is friendly and caring toward my animals each and every time we go. Dr. Hebert is both knowledgeable and passionate in his practice. I have never had a bad experience at Northpark Veterinary Hospital, and I plan on continuing my visits and placing my animals in their care. I would recommend this clinic to any pet owner.
