We had our first visit today when we had to have our precious Chihuahua put down. My husband and I were in tears and when we showed up to our appointment we were immediately greeted and ushered to a private room so we didnt have to wait in the lobby. Every staff member we met was amazing and very respectful to our feelings. We were given time to say goodbye and when Dr. Oden came in he was very sweet and compassionate. We were encouraged to take our time in our room after it was over and compose ourselves before we left. We could have not asked for a better experience, despite how heart breaking it was. We are so thankful and when the time comes for a new pet, we will absolutely be coming back to this wonderful clinic. *Update* 2 days after putting our dog down, we received a sympathy card in the mail from the clinic. These really are amazing, loving people!

Short summary: Great, caring vet at a good price. When Dr. Oden was at the West Plains Veterinary Hospital in Levelland, he would always show great care and was very knowledgable. He has a great ability to explain in an understandable way what is going on with our dogs. He has now begun his own practice in Lubbock. Today I took my older dog to Dr. Odens new clinic to seek a diagnosis on an ongoing limp. He found what another veterinarian missed: a ligament injury near my dogs shoulder when it stepped wrong in the snow. No surgery was needed, but lots of rest, as well as some pain medication and an anti-inflammatory. The cost for the visit and medication was very reasonable. Dr. Oden is a man who seeks to honor God with his skills. He is a very good veterinarian, and I highly recommend him.

One of the best experiences Ive had with any vet. After picking up a very ill stray cat the night before, we tried to take it to Live Oak but for many reasons had an awful experience and after over 2 hours we never even saw a vet. We contacted Gingered Blessings cat rescue that night and they got us into Oden the next morning. We were told they had a fully booked morning so there might be a wait but as soon as we arrived everyone made this poor stray a priority. Unfortunately the cat had to be put down but the vet was very sweet and did everything he could to make her passing easy. The clinic was immaculately clean as well. Everyone was so nice and really cared about a simple stray cat. Cant recommend them more!

Absolutely wonderful vet! We met him in a Tractor Supply store check out line when he went to love on our pup and immediately noticed her severe issues. Shes a young and very high strung Australian shepherd with horrible allergies, who had only ever seen a country vet who treated her with steroids. Dr. Oden got our pup on a medicine that has completely changed her quality of life, and was very good at explaining things on a level that we could understand. He was very knowledgeable on current treatment opportunities, and his office and staff were very inviting. Ultimately the only vet that I would fully entrust my fur babies with, and I highly recommend him to everyone!

I am the caretaker for a fairly large feral cat colony (registered with the city) and Blaine Oden spays/neuters my cats. He and his staff treat my animals with kindness and the utmost respect. Since I am in their clinic on a fairly regular basis, I witness how other animals and their owners are treated, and I can say without reservation that he and the staff are consistently genuine in their affection of the animals they treat. Brian, Katarina, and Christy are top notch in terms of competence as well as caring. Dr. Oden is a good man and a wonderful veterinarian, and Im thankful that my animals are under his care. DVM B. Oden has been our Vet for over 10 years. Treated our dogs and us very well not only during appointments but after hours too. He & staff are always courteous, respectful, professional, sincere, caring. They know their business! I will not take my fur babies anywhere else to be treated. I know each of them will get the individual perfect care/diagnosis & treatment at Oden Veterinary Hospital. I wish to thank Dr. Oden and Staff for all that they do, everyday for all animals! This place is terrible and have horrible staff. I asked for help and they told me to sit down and wait until they were ready to speak to me. They shunned my dog the whole check up. They wouldnt let me keep her inside the clinic because she was "too big". Shes a border collie. Then refused to tell me where the bathroom was so I could grab a paper towel to blow my nose because I they wouldnt want to let me use the box they had behind the counter! Terrible and shameful business!

Dr. Oden is our trusted vet and has become a dear friend. He has helped us through a horrible mast cell cancer of our beloved Blueheeler. He takes care of our 2 Chihuahuas one of which had Distemper when we adopted him from the shelter. He survived the Distemper with Dr. Odens care and Gods grace. If you need a great vet with a kind compassionate staff in a wonderful Christian environment this is your vet! John & Drenda Shafer

The staff is friendly but what really we love is Dr. Oden. He is genuinely kind and cares about our fur baby and our family. The prices are fair and he recommends treatments only as needed and we appreciate this after having experiences elsewhere where expensive, new technology was pushed when it wasnt really needed. We just enjoy Dr. Oden and his approach to caring for our sweet pup.

This place is awesome! My dog Texas was pulling her hair out and scratching so bad. Dr Oden was very good and got her some medicine and she finally got a good nights sleep and shes not scratching as much. Im sure that will all stop soon. Ive seen him before and hed a very caring person who cares about our animals. And he doesnt over charged either. My fur babies now have a new vet.

I was sent to Dr Oden from my former vet because they were booked and all I have to say is that he did an amazing job! My poor baby had not eaten or drank water in two days and within minutes from leaving the clinic and getting home, she was eating and drinking water!! Thank you Dr Oden!!

He was awesome. My dog had a major fall and Dr. Oden and his staff did above and beyond what was expected at a good price. He was booked for that day so he even found a friend to take us in for and emergency surgery and saved my dog from dying. I can t say enough good things about them.
