Went on a Thursday morning. Arrived at 11a.m. There were 3 other people in the waiting room. We were finally called just after noon. We were put into a large exam room and the nurse took notes and vitals. She left and we waiting another 20 minutes before a physician assistant (NOT A DOCTOR) finally came in to give an exam. She was so unsure of what to do that she referred us to a specialist. We asked for antibiotics (for an eye infection) but she insisted that we must go see a specialist that same day. So she left to make a call and we waited....for another 20 minutes. FINALLY she came back to give us a confirmation that she got us an appointment with a specialist, in Fairfax. So, we went there and while we were waiting, overheard the receptionist talking to the doctor saying that his good friend at urgent care had referred another patient. Seems like it was all part of a big scheme. In the end, the doctor we saw was great and we got what we needed. I dont like that we had to wait at Urgent care for over 2 hours and then pay an additional fee for the specialist. I also dont like that the urgent care didnt actually let us see a real doctor. It should also be noted that in addition to the long wait times, no doctor and poor diagnosing - the facility itself is old, dirty and a bit run down. Its the kind of place that reminds you why you never want to go to the doctors office. old, depressing and generally ICKY.

No way! with full of respect, the people who wrote positive review are wrong. This place is horrible. I went there because it is very close to where I live and thought it would be faster to see a doctor. No, 3 hours wait, staff who bearly can speak to us because they are busy talking to each other and when I asked how much time should I wait. the check in lady said "youre funny!" a doctor who cant crack two English words was jumping all around the room without touching or examining my young daughter who had 104 degrees for four days. finally 15ml of white non-flavor ibuprofen and go home. No x-ray, no throat check, no nothing. The waiting room is full of sick people waiting for hours. sneezing and coughing into each other faces. Why the heck you go there where anyone can go to a well equipped emergency room. That was a horrible mistake. Virginia hospital center management should be ashamed of opening such circus. I understand they have to hire minorities but they have to hire qualified minorities not ghettos and Chinese noodle cook to provide medical services. Now I know why that dark skin lady said "youre funny" yes, I was funny that I took my kid to such place.

My husband was having severe back pain while visiting our daughter. She found this urgent care. Waited for over 1 hour before we where taken back to a room.. then a woman came in and started saying "I am really a doctor... even though I dont have white jacket on I am really a doctor.. on and on she went...who was she trying to convince us or herself that she was a doctor... finally she introduced herself.. cant remember her name... anyway she never did any type of examination on my husband never check reflexes or anything.. gave him a muscle relaxer no pain pills or anything... the next week we had to visit another one.(INOVA FACILITY...MUCH MUCH BETTER). THe doctor there examined him and found no reflexes on his left side. Gave him prednisone and 2 other meds..and recommended if he does not get better to return to our home doctor. Finally my husband after 3 weeks is getting better...BOTTOM LINE... DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE.. IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME.. AND I REALLY DO NOT THINK THIS WOMAN WAS A DOCTOR. I AM GOING TO CALL OUR INSURANCE COMPANY AND MAKE A COMPLAINT AGAINST THIS FACILITY.

DO NOT TAKE CHILDREN HERE! Took my young son in with an obviously broken arm (arm was clearly bent in a not natural way). Aida at the check-in insisted he could not have a broken arm since he was not crying and made us wait 30 minutes to see the doctor (she said that if he was screaming they would have interrupted the doctor and he would have been seen immediately). Using crying as a way to triage people - especially children, seems like a bad practice. After we had been there 1 1/2 hours, and after an x-ray proved he had broken both bones in his forearm, they finally offered him pain medication. They sent us out to a pediatric orthopedist with his arm only in a sling; they didnt splint it or anything. The orthopedist was horrified. The good - they were very nice people and they did send us where we needed to be eventually. The pediatric orthopedist at OrthoVirginia did a great job with his arm. But they advised us never to go to Urgent Care with a child and we will for sure never use this Urgent Care again!

While visiting from out of state I started to have stomach discomfort and knew I needed to see a doctor, but didnt want to go to an ER. I tried a different urgent care, and they were useless. Then I found this one. Virginia Hospital Urgent Care was able to verify personally that they took my insurance at 3 oclock in the morning. I visited them around 10am and waited in a clean waiting room w/ an adjoining patio for about 45 min. Then I waited about another 40 min to see a Doctor once I was in the room. Dr Yi-ho ma was fantastic. Very thorough. He was very good at explaining things and helping me understand how he was arriving at his conclusions. He even helped me find a pharmacy by where I was visiting, and he gave me good ideas on follow up once I returned home. This urgent care appears to be hooked right onto the big hospital, and I felt confident that Id get good treatment there and I did. The facility isnt super brand new or plush, but its clean and organized and gets the job done. Plus its open 24 hours!

My daughter and I went to the Urgent Care center this past Friday. She ended up have strep throat and I had a sinus infection. We got there at 3:30, checked in and only sat in the waiting room for about 5 minutes. There were maybe 3 other people waiting to be seen too. At 4:35 we were walking out the door. The receptionist, triage nurse, nurse, and doctor were incredible! They were friendly to both me and my daughter and the doctor took the time to fully talk to us and assess our problems. My daughter needed a strep test, but it was done fairly quickly. I will definitely use this clinic in the future. Someone complained that they only took 3 or 4 types of insurance, but I saw the list and they take all the major ones, including mine which one Care First BCBS.

Very pleased with care from start to finish. As any place you go without an appointment you may have to wait but you will be cared for by very caring and competent staff from start to finish. They have lab facilities and x-rays that are open mostly during the day and evening. I will definitley use them if needed again. It amazes me that some people walk in and expect immediate care when they dont have an appointment. I have to wait at my doctors office sometimes with an appointment if a sicker patient needs to get in. I would expect the same for me if I was super ill. It is not always a first come first serve and you dont know what is going on behind closed doors. I was super pleased with my care and I think you will be too if you go with the right expectations.
