As longtime dog owners with two grown children in the animal industry, we are EXTREMELY careful about choosing vets. Upon moving here 8 years ago we tried a couple of places in the area and never felt totally comfortable until we met Dr. Hurst and Dr. Vinch at Gunston. They have seen 4 of our dogs as well as our sons dog exclusively for the past 5 years and we have never had better care. All of the folks at Gunston love the animals, know the families and genuinely care about your concerns. I couldnt recommend them more!

I have been coming here for a few years (maybe around 4 or more) for my two cats. Dr. Hurst is amazing, along with the entire staff!! I cannot say enough good things about them. They care and pay attention to details. I havent had the privilege to meet any other doctor, but sure they are fantastic as well. One of my cats is high stress/anxiety and Dr. Hurst provided me options to help with it and even followed up with phone calls. Again, cannot say enough good things about Gunston Animal Hospital!

I started taking my new puppy to Gunston and he loves it! He doesnt get that nervous-going-to-the-vet attitude at all. They are wonderfully thorough, kind and concise. They even quartered his meds for me! The liver treats they give him help, too! Prices are extremely reasonable for all the experts they have on staff. I will be so sad if I ever have to move because they have made my life as a dog-mom so much more pleasant. We love you Gunston Animal Hospital!! Tucker and Kelly

Dr. Katz is fabulous. I adopted a 14-year old cairn terrier who was super sweet, but had a number of things I was concerned about (as older dogs tend to have more issues). Dr. Katz listened to every concern and went through them all as we did our initial visit. My two follow up visits have been the same experience - she hears all my concerns and helps me understand what they can do - and what I can do - to resolve the problem. She is truly terrific!

The vet was friendly and answered all questions patiently, but it was unorganized. They brought in dog vaccinations for my cats, luckily she double checked and went to get the correct vaccines. The staff was rude and did not apply the discount i had mentioned to them and when i called to inquire about it multiple times, i was told someone would reach out. No one ever did.

Weve been bringing all 6 of our fur babies to Gunston Animal hospital for the last 3 years and we are extremely pleased with the level of care our babies receive as well as the time and attention we receive when our babies have out of the ordinary/senior fur baby issues.

They are fabulous. We had to put our 15 year old cat to sleep after his cancer advanced and they were wonderful; considerate and compassionate. Eveey little deatil was professional. I would highly recommend them and use them for my dog
