I did not have a very good experience here and have since decided not to go back. I was placed on a medication that caused me some severe distressing psychological side effects. When I expressed this at my follow up appointment, the resident I was seeing (This is a teaching center) said he did not think it was a problem because I was still going to work every day, said that I needed to work with my therapist to manage the symptoms, and increased my dose despite my concerns. When I asked how to proceed if the increased dosage worsened the side effects as I suspected it would (and it did), he said to just take myself to the emergency room. I stopped the medication and cancelled my appointment. I felt like I was being treated like I was making the side effects up, and that it wasnt as bad as I was saying because I could still go to work. The head psychiatrist at the center seemed knowledgeable and empathetic, but the fact that the resident would "present" my case to him at each appointment, rather than hearing it from me, was problematic especially because this resident was dismissive of my concerns and feedback on the medication.

WARNING DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE, FOR IT IS A DETRIMENT TO YOUR MENTAL HEALTH The three secretaries work very hard, and in my opinion, do absolutely the most they can do with what they are given to work with. Between the off-site (possibly off this planet as in nonexistent) billing lady, and the swarms of incompetent, non compassionate, ever cycling, revolving door of Psychiatrists, I am impressed that they get what they do done!! The 3 secretaries are the glue of this business. They are what bonds this practice together, and create a dysfunctional Phychiatric clinic.... If only the bonding agents of the "faceless billing lady" and the Psychiatrists who are completely unprofessional, medically unethical, and leave you feeling uncomfortable in your own skin would change... The secretaries are great, they should all go work somewhere where their hard work will be recognized, and drop Pudget Sound Psychiatric Clinic, leaving the practice all alone, to fall apart, as the practice commonly does to its patients... I also, was a patient who the practice decided to drop without a valid reason whatsoever..

My experience with the Puget Sound Psychiatric Center has been absolutely horrible. My psychiatrists did not help me in the slightest despite repeated appointments. They also cancelled several of my appointments without notifying me before unexpectedly releasing me as a patient without any explanation whatsoever. In my opinion the reception staff is rude and unhelpful, and I felt as if my psychiatrist barely listened to me. Furthermore, I requested to see a different psychiatrist, and had this request denied after a long delay. The only thing positive I can say is that my therapist, Shon, was very helpful. Otherwise I would recommend any other psychiatric clinic in the area as this place is extremely difficult, unprofessional, and unhelpful, resulting in a huge waste of time for me.
