My name is Marie, my breeder introduced me to this clinic when I bought my yorkie. Several months later my yorkie needed surgery to extract a tooth and needed to be spay. The pre-op blood test I had done indicated a high liver enzyme. This test usually indicate a liver problem and/or a shunt . I asked them if they could fix my dog the receptionist asked the doctor and came back and recommended that I call VCA. because they are not equipped to repair a shunt in their hospital. So I called VCA and they performed the surgery and also did a biopsy of the liver to rule out a shunt. My yorkie was diagnosed with a micro vascular dysplasia an internal liver shunt. I contacted Dr Young and informed him of the diagnose and asked if he would talk to the breeder because he knows her well. I wanted him to inform her that it is a congenital condition and suggested that she test her dog for her future breeding decision (the breeder did not want to believe her dog could carry such a gene). His opinion was that this constituted hearsay, that I had a vendetta to prove and his time was very valuable . I am complaining, not for the fact that they would not do the surgery they could not and I understood that. The receptionist suggested I call VCA an other hospital. My complain is about the lack of compassion I received when I informed Dr Young that my dog was sick. Anyone with a sick dog would understand this. I gave one star because the receptionist is very nice and helpful. I will never return.

I had to bring my dog here after a purchase as part of the warranty. I quickly discovered how the office is poorly managed. The paperwork is all done by hand and no use of computers and she even expressed an unwillingness to learn. They couldnt give me a print out all that that done because its all hand written. The system is very archaic. All the veterinarians all are at retirement age of those Id seen. Although the vets themselves seemed caring enough I was not happy when an older man probably in his 70s, a tech, gave my puppy a shot and she squealed like never before. After another visit when the vet gave the shot the reaction was very minimal. I understand that some dogs are more sensitive but it lasted a long time. When I changed vets they wouldnt send the information to the new vet and claimed they never got the requests after months of them trying. The new veterinarian has well documented times of when they tried to call and get cooperation.

I have received excellent medical care for my cats. The doctor correctly diagnosed and restored my cat to good health (after first being charged 1,200 at a Silverdale pet hospital yet not given the right treatment). Here billing is straightforward and fair. There is no compromise on medical treatment. I have three cats and have always received the correct diagnosis. I have not had the same experience with other pricey enterprises in East Bremerton, Silverdale, and Belfair, who nicely scam you by suggesting high priced unnecessary treatment, swap out bills after first trying to get you to pay an outrageous amount, and are more about profits than compassionate care. Fancy buildings and decorator waiting rooms are cosmetic traps around here. This veterinarian may not have the latest decor but dont let that fool you. I received no better care and I have checked out all the "highly rated", "upscale" vet practices in our area.

I have been going to Bayview Vet for over ten years for everything from emergencies to routine shots and spaying/neutering. There has been very little staff turnover which says a lot about an employer. Everyone there is always friendly, genuinely caring and helpful. What I really appreciate is that they care so much about animals and the people who love them that they keep their prices in a range that allows animal lovers to afford to appropriately care for our pets! They are truly awesome to animals, and are not greedy like most of the small animal practices around Kitsap!

Marie, You state they wouldnt do the surgery, but then you state because the POST-OP blood test, showed a problem, sorry but that doesnt make much sense, but assuming you meant PRE-OP blood test, I think its great they didnt want to put your animal at risk, if they dont have the resources to take care of any problems that might arrive from doing the surgery with some other problems going on. I have a vet in Port Orchard, who recently I changed from to this one, THEY are very caring and its not ALL about money!!

They are very a caring, helpful and they do everything they can to help your furbabies. Took my 3month old kitten in today. They had a vet there that knew a lot about dental work with animals. My kittens mouth was deformed....Sadly had to put him down. They let me and my husband be with him for ten mins, they came him to sedate him, lets us hold him till he passed out an took him in the back to put him down and wrapper him up and gave him to is in a nice box to take him home and bury him.

We moved very close to Bayview Vet Hospital so it was easy for us to take our two dogs there. After using Central Valley Vet HOLY COW were we getting ripped off their! I feel the quality of care was 15X better here, and that they actually cared for you and your animals well being. I had to put my black lab down with them and they were beyond professional, let me be with her until she passed. If you need a Vet this is the place to take your animal!

I have taken many pets to bayview many times, they are affordable and really seem concerned with your pets. They are very helpful and are always available to offer information even just over the phone and they always are able to fit you in for an appointment quickly most of the time same day. They have the best rates in town and provide great care. I really feel like I get my moneys worth when I take my pets to the bayview staff!

Awesome and caring staff who are open for hours convenient to my work schedule. The office may look outdated but dont judge this book by its cover. My animal was treated as respectfully as me.

I was very impressed with this clinic. They were fast, helpful, and informative. They got me in to be seen a full 24 hours before my scheduled appt. time. Im going to make them my regular vet.

Great with my Chihuahuas. Nail clipping is a nightmare at home, and they were able to do the task with little to no traumatized experience. We also had our dog neutered there with great care.

Great service! Vet is amazing. She is very knowledgeable and listened to me to what I wanted and did NOT want. She was also open to raw diet, which many vets are not.
