My wife and I delivered a baby at this hospital in November and were not pleased with the majority of the experience. Pros - The one pro is that we had a good doctor and a couple of the nurses were nice. Cons - Our room was COLD. Ive had field training exercises in the middle of winter in Oklahoma were I felt warmer. Our newborn baby was distressed the entire 2 days he was in that room because of how cold it was - we literally had to dress him in a snow suit before he was warm enough to go to sleep. They FINALLY fixed the heat about an hour before we left even though we made numerous statements to the staff. A lot of the staff are judgmental and push things too hard on the parents. My wife underwent a C section and had trouble with her milk at first (very common with C section) which caused more distress upon our baby. When we asked to supplement with formula after the sixth hour of trying to feed all natural our nurse gave us a lecture on how breastfeeding is so much better for the baby and that we shouldnt ever use formula. I had to put my foot down before they honored our (the parents) wishes. And guess what? He stopped crying once he ate the formula! Imagine that. Im sure starving a newborn baby is much preferred over supplementing with formula. Youd think we were trying to give the kid crack the way they responded to our decision. Overall the staff treated is in such a condescending manner that I will NEVER go back to this hospital for any reason. Leaving that hospital a day early against staffs advice was the best decision I have ever made (they wanted to hold him for observation due to fussiness). Our newborn went from being irritable constantly to very content and happy almost immediately. Imagine what providing adequate shelter and food will do! Of course that is not where this story ends. Their billing department screwed up our insurance claim. Instead of calling my insurance to try to work it out (like professionals usually do) they put it all on us to work out. Even my tricare representative was baffled that the hospital billing department wouldnt have called them first before sending my wife and I a 20,000 dollar bill. I have since switched everything to the Everett Clinic. Guess what they did literally 10 seconds into his first appointment? Turn on the heat so he wasnt cold!

Went to the ER with my twenty-one year old son who has Prader-Willi syndrome. Symptoms: Not eating, refusing food, twisted CPish type posture, swallowing problems with three serious choking incidents in the last year, two requiring heimlich, a problem with speaking that has developed over the past two months, he can hardly be understood. They recommended a gut cat scan with contrast but my son is extremely needle phobic. If someone is needle phobic at Evergreen their protocol is to hold that person down and force the IV. My son also has a fear of being held down and because mental illness is part of PWS he would not recover from a forced IV easily or quickly. These people in the ER obviously have little to no experience with a person with PWS. I refused the forced IV so he was given a gut scan and a brain scan sans contrast. The result? NORMAL! Are they joking?????? His brain scan was not normal when he was two weeks old, and it is normal now? At two weeks he was bright, alert, low muscle tone certainly but otherwise his body was supple and healthy. When they did his brain scan then they said he would be severely disabled. Now, when he is twisted up and unable to swallow properly and unable to speak so he can be understood, now his brain scan is normal??!!!!! As far as his gut, we had good reason to suspect a problem per the health information on PWS. They detected no problem except constipation which was weird as he is skinny, underweight, and refusing food. He left with a clean bill of health, hahahahaha, and a prescription for something to help him poop. We also know he poops regularly as he makes a big mess every time and someone has to clean it up. Worst medical care we have ever received. It would be 0 stars except for the kind visit of Rabbi Rosenfeld who is a mentsch and was the only bright spot in a very long and unproductive day.-------------------Went to Evergreen again today and it was a totally different experience. This time my son was to get a swallow study. The speech therapist was amazing with him, and all the staff were friendly, kind, and helpful in every way. You also have terrific parking over there. I have raised my rating to a 4 star and it would be a 5 star except for the bad ER experience.

I hate this hospital with all my heart!!! I recently moved out here and was pregnant at the time and due to the fact I didnt have a doctor I decided to go with Evergreens Womens Clinic...I was in my first trimester and had an ultrasound done and it felt like I was being scrapped inside from the nurse that was giving me the ultrasound. I repeatedly told her that I felt very uncomfortable and it was hurting me & she kept saying sorry! I told her that I have 3 other children and never in my life have I ever felt such pain during an ultrasound. I did not finish the ultrasound and told her I was not going to let her keep hurting me. So when I was close to my due date, I know my body and like I mentioned earlier I have had 3 kids prior I knew I was going into labor and went to my doctors appt and they didnt think that I was because I did not act like it and said "your too calm to be going into labor?" So I told her, "I know I am going into labor would it be possible to wait in the hospital?" So my doctor agreed, 3 hours later in the small room I find myself pushing! They tell me not to push and transfer me to the labor & delivery floor. As soon as I got in that room I had to wait for a doctor and told the nurse "I cannot wait on a doctor I wanna push now!" So I pushed one time and BAM! Out comes my baby and no one is there to grab her!!!!! WTF!?! Now I see the doctor and she comes in and acts as if she did all the hard work and tells me I did good. My moment with my child was ruined due to the fact that I felt as if I just basically gave birth on my own! I was so angry I cried and told the doctor to leave my room immediately! So, that being said the people are nice but I feel that they do not know what they are doing and need to do a lot better job when it comes to the health of the patient! I would rather have rude and mean nurses & doctors that are profound in what they do, then have nurses & doctors that are nice but dont know what the hell they are doing!!!

Id have put zero star if there was one. I went to this facility after reading great reviews on a sports medicine doctor. I ended up paying about $600 out of pocket with no outcome for my lower back pain. Worst yet, the treatment plan was decided neither by my doctor nor by me. The initial intake and staff experience was good. The doctor seemed personable and asked a lot of good questions. We both agree that Id better do an MRI on top of x-ray on my lower back, to ensure the diagnosis was accurate. While I was waiting to hear from the nurse on when I should go for my MRI, the nurse contacted me saying "we have decided to send you to physiotherapy because thats what your insurance suggests before they can cover the cost". Imagine, medically-speaking the least qualified person in the equation, the insurance customer service representative who talked with the nurse decided what my treatment plan should be. Thats a shame! I had no problem to cover the $800 cost out of pocket. Yet, no one bothered to ask me. I just became a number in the broken healthcare system and in this sub-optimal health organization called Evergreen Health. I have started a few health startup companies. I know how broken the healthcare ecosystem is. Though, the modern health-care organizations have changed processes to deploy patient-centric and outcome-based systems. This organization is not one of them. Thats why I dont blame the doctor and Im not naming him in my review. The blame is on Evergreen Health, as a health organization, that is still running like were in 1950s. They do what they can to snatch money out of you without getting sued, and you the patient are the least important entity in their decision framework.
