I had an emergency of sorts this morning when after my first visit to the bathroom I had the most excruciating pain I have ever felt in my lower left back. Due to some other symptoms from a few days earlier I figured it was a kidney stone and needed treatment a.s.a.p. I contacted UW for an appointment and the woman on the phone went above and beyond to get me into a nearby clinic right away. I wound up at the UW Northgate clinic and had an appointment Dr Chiu. They got me in super fast, I dont think I have ever been to a doctor and received treatment so quickly. The women in the lab were the best, super friendly and very gentle with the needles when drawing blood. The whole process took about five hours (I had to go to another facility for a CT scan) but it was pretty painless overall and all of the staff I dealt with were extremely friendly and professional. I really like Dr Chiu too, very friendly and easy to talk to, he took the time to explain everything to me and really listened when I told him about my symptoms, he will definitely be my primary care provider going forward. So overall I was really impressed, Im not a fan of going to the doctor to begin with and I tend to have anxiety over anything "medical" (especially when needles or blood is involved), but none of that came into play today at the clinic, great people and a great facility, I highly recommend them.

I was impressed. Got an appointment as a new patient with a primary care on a Wednesday after calling that Saturday. Saw Dr. Simpson. She was fantastic, took the time to have a real discussion about my concerns and offered great insight towards resolution, and stands as an example for being thorough and professional in a primary care clinic setting. Everyone introduced themselves, and they had clearly been trained on how to address patients. I was never rushed and I never waited more than a couple minutes for any part of my physical. I will go back, even with the long drive. UPDATE: Billing is awful to deal with and they bill things under the wrong categories. Thieves. University of Washington is a shady institution to be avoided at all cost. 5 months after my visit, I received a "delinquent" lab bill that I had never seen before and had not been mentioned in any of my 20 or so phone calls that Ive had to make to attempt to correct their errors.

1. You need to wait... wait... wait. All the time you need to wait. Not less than 15 min. Never seen any doctor on time. Never!!! Average waiting time is 30 min. For example if you have an appointment at 10 am, you will see doctor not earlier than 10.30. Not earlier!!! Be ready. You are lucky if you wait only 30 min. If they are late it means that you dont have enough time to discuss all your health problems because next patient is waiting!!! Is it normal? 2. Never received any help there. Doctors can start search your symptoms in Internet in the front of you. Or they can make a decision without any lab research. Weird? You need to ask them for additional lab research because they dont know about them!!!! Terrible? But they are charging you a lot of money. For what??? I am not talking about customer service. Its good here. I am talking about quality! Now visiting this place only for referrals and refills.

My doctor moved here from the 45th St. Clinic in Wallingford. I had only been a patient of her for a short time but I didnt want a 3rd PCP in 4 months so I followed her and my insurance allowed. Im glad I did. I go there twice a month for two very different reasons. I have probably been there 12 times in the last 6 months. Im there that often to monitor my BP and for pain management. Both the specialists I see are great but that can be luck of the draw I suppose but also and importantly, I have never had to wait any more than 5 minutes past my appointment time to see anyone and the reception area is very comfortable AND they probably have the nicest receptionists of anywhere I have ever been for anything! Consistently good natured and smiling. I want to marry them all! Seriously though, I have never had a single hassle or insurance snag or anything to that end. Keep up the good work!

Shady charge constantly and awful customer service. 4 out of my 5 visits I was asked to take drug tests as soon as I walked in with no information as to why. Several times they handed me the wrong persons drug test and even messed up my sample and had me give it again and was CHARGED TWICE FOR THE SAME TEST! Every time I came in they would reassure me that the labs were not going to be charge for and every time they charged me for it. My Doctor just talked about leaving to another practice the whole time and lied to me as well about the billing. This is the worst practice I have ever been too and will never return again.

The worst customer service in the world. I set up a doctors appointment a week in advance and come to find out once I arrive to my appointment they tell me there is an issue and I cannot be seen! Horrible! This place is the definition of how horrible health care in America has gotten. It makes you think twice about all that tuition money they are charging students and where its going! In the the pockets of the wrong people. SAVE YOURSELF SOME HASSLE AND GO SEE OVERLAKE MEDICAL CENTER

Awesome doctors, awesome nurses, awesome staff!! Love this place! My fiance was misdiagnosed for over a year at another doctor, it only took his doctor 12 days to have him diagnosed. Unfortunately, it was stage 4lung cancer and there was not a lot that could be done.

The Northgate clinic is so great and speedy. Ive been twice almost a year apart and both times I was able to get an appointment right away, shuffle through the necessary tests, and be on my way in no time. So nice to have such an efficient clinic close to my home!
