I am DISGUSTED from the experience I just had with the receptionist at Northgate animal hospital. I called to make an appointment for my dog who hasnt been feeling well for about a week now... right off the bat the woman says we are not taking any new clients. I then told her that we had been there many years prior and asked if she could please look us up. Perfect! We are in the system therefore we are not a new client and you would think I could go ahead and make an appointment. She then hymmms and huhhhs and says sorry but we are double booked there is nothing open as shes trying to get off the phone with me. I had to again tell her im very worried about my dog and I asked when is the next available appointment even if we have to wait? She says try stoneridge or Greece animal hospital! Right from the beginning she had no intentions of helping me. Then she asks finally whats wrong with your dog? So I begin to tell her and I get all choked up and start crying as Im explaining that he hasnt been eating or drinking and is acting very depressed he wouldnt even eat his favorite bubble gum bone he just held it between his paws when normally he gobbles them up in two seconds and is begging for another!! And shaking as hes laying on my lap

Worst doctor/place ever! I just moved to the area and made an appointment to renew my dogs prescription. When you arrive, the place is dark, to hide the grime of the old building apparently. The doctor never looked at me, didnt introduce himself, was rude, and only spent about 30 seconds on her exam. He said he would give me one months supply only, "maybe" up to 6 months if I had all her records sent, but certainly not the years supply that every other vet had given her! She has been on the meds her whole 8 years and does not require an exam every few months, so a vet can line their pockets. The vet did not answer my questions on anything else, and just ignored me, as did his assistant. I refused to pay for this crappy service since now I will have to find another vet to provide her prescription. The front desk staff were also rude and indifferent. Never go here!

First of all Dr. Richard Conley, the original vet at Northgate Animal Hospital and his receptionist Kathy, were the best...I know Dr. Conley retired, but where did Kathy go? She was very friendly, informative, empathetic and HELPFUL!! I called today to help with resolving a skunk issue with my dog, and all I got was "I can give you a home made recipe to try or go try the pet store"??!!?? Really? So if your pet is ever sprayed by a skunk and you are a client of Northgate Animal Hospital, dont go there for help, they apparently cant clean your pet if they have been sprayed. Hopefully, your pet doesnt lose their sight and need to have them cleaned ASAP

I have a cat that was recently diagnosed as diabetic. Dr. Hughes and his staff have taken wonderful care of her. We are trying to get her sugar under control and hes very accommodating. Dr. Hughes and his staff also take care of my two dogs my 2 1/2 year-old Schnoodle and my 1 yr old Shih Tzu, they love going to see their vet and staff. And for a dog, any dog who likes going to the vets its a plus in my book. They treat my girls like their own. Couldnt ask for a better Vet or staff. I highly recommend them, they are very personable, very accommodating, very informative, and very reasonable. Please do not retired Dr. Hughes

All of our pets are clients at Northgate Animal Hospital. Dr. Hughes has been our vet for over 20 years. All of the staff are caring and qualified. Exceptional consideration is given to pet owners during those emotional moments dealing with terminal illness. We were given time to say goodbye in a quiet area and they also assisted us with cremation services. Although the cost of services was never a primary factor when we made our first appointment, we have found Northgate Animal Hospital to be very reasonable.

I followed Dr. Hughes when he left Brighton Animal Hospital as he had been caring for my elderly cat and her hyperthyroid condition. Because of Dr. Hughes and his amazing staff, particularly the assistants in the exam rooms and the receptionist who is SUPER in her own right, I have continued to bring my newly adopted cats there. I would highly recommed this practice for the top notch customer service, good animal care and very reasonable pricing.

I have been coming here with my pets since I was a child back in 1984. I have long since moved to Brockport, but continue to make the trip to Northgate Animal Hospital with my cats for all of their medical needs. The quality of care is outstanding, the office staff friendly and sincere. The doctor is honest, personable and realistic about treatment advice. Five stars all the way!!!!

Dr Hughes treated our first dachshund Snickers,(almost made it to 16) and now we take our two girls, Ruby and Scarlet also dachshunds, to Northgate. The support staff is caring and professional. Dr Hughes is a low key,no hype, knowledgeable professional.Dachshunds are uptight by nature but Dr Hughes demeanor is very calming to them (and us!) We just cant say enough about this place.

Being a new owner of a puppy i was worried to get taken advantage of with prices. This place has been my Primary vet for everything since day one and they are super helpful, Not overpriced and Realistic. Both my cat and cocker spaniel were patients at Northgate Animal Hospital. Our cat lived to be over 21 years old; our dog almost made it to 17 years. Very pleased with the service over the years. The staff was very helpful and caring to our dog and our family when it was time to put her down. Highly recommend Northgate Animal Hospital.

Dr. Hughes is Dr. Doolittle as far as we are concerned. He will get right down and talk to your animals. So calm and soothing. Staff takes his lead and are just as caring. They are knowledgeable and helpful even when your dog is sprayed by a skunk. Highly recommended.

Dr Hughes has been taking care of my six year old ShihTzu for the past week. She had a slipped disc and unable to use her hind legs. After a few days in his hospital she is now able to stand a few minutes. We can see some improvements.
