Just said good bye to this Vet office. A year and a half ago we went here with our puppy Boxer to get his first shots and over all check up. Old office but the front staff were so very nice. A bit of a wait and the waiting room is small with others trying to hold onto their dogs. Can make it a bit difficult but its nice to chat with other pet lovers. All was well and the Dr. seemed nice.Went again not too long after for another check up and it was fine but not as friendly with the Dr. She seemed to be in a hurry so we didnt think much. Fast forward to close to a year later when he was ready for his next round of shots. They took him back for his weight and I was expecting all the friendliness that we first had. NOT! The girl was okay with him and weighed him but everyone seemed to be in such a hurry. The vet came in and was gone before we ever got to speak to her. The assistant took blood from him for his worming test and we waited in the crowded waiting room for his results. All that friendliness was gone. That was 3 months ago. Yesterday I called because my Boxer was really suffering from severe hives and horrible allergies. Hed had an attack last year and Id mentioned this to the Dr. and she said if it happened again hed need to come in for treatment. This had been going on for 2 weeks without going away so I tried to get him in. It was a 3 day wait. I continued to try the Benedryl but today was so bad I feared for his life. I couldnt get in until tomorrow so I called another Dr. someone else recommended to me. They told me to bring my dog right in. So I phoned BVS to cancel my appt. with them and they didnt ask what the problem was or if my dog was okay. Just, "okay, its canceled". I had been feeling the lack of care for my pet and I know now that I wasnt being foolish in my thinking. Too busy to care is how Im seeing how they are. I found a great Vet with a total staff that cares and was so kind and friendly with our dog. Hes important to us and we want him to be cared for like any family member. Would NEVER go back to this place!!!

We made an appointment and took our dog to this office for an updated rabies vaccination so we could get our dog license renewed. The front desk staff was NOT friendly. No one smiled or was welcoming. After waiting about 30 minutes in the inner exam room with the dog, I went out to the desk to ask how much longer it would be because we could do this another day and the doctor was there in the hall chatting with someone. She said, "Oh, youve been waiting?" and came right into the exam room. I told her Id been there for about 1/2 hour and she said, "well there was absolutely no reason for that, Im going to have a talk with the front desk!" And she apologized. We got the shots in no time flat and then she said the dog needed a tooth cleaning and a tooth pulled soon. I said" OMG! REALLY? He gets his teeth bushed twice a month and eats crunchy dog treats!" She showed me the bad teeth and he did indeed need a cleaning and a tooth pulled. I said, "I worry about giving him anesthesia." (I had a pet die from it). Her attitude changed abruptly and she snapped, "WELL ITS LESS DANGEROUS THAN THIS GUM DISEASE!!!!" I immediately felt I was seeing another side of this person and did not feel at all comfortable there. I decided then and there that he would get his teeth cleaned but that I would never, under any circumstances return here. If they DO help and save pets there, God Bless them. But I personally just have a bad feeling about the place.

I hate writing bad reviews but I am sorry this vet office has just disappointed me twice in a row with 2 different pets. I love the girls in the front always sweet and helpful!!! I am just not thrilled with the main vet here. I grew up in Buckeye and used this vet office my whole life for all of our animals moved away, came back and now owned by a new vet, the experience was just unpleasant. 1st time took a pup in that was having a allergic reaction (hair loss and itchy) after being reassured it was nothing major went home next day found our selves in the 24 hrs emergence vet clinic with a severe allergy attack (could breath). Knowing that sometimes things happen I gave this office another chance the dr seemed unhappy with me asking questions and discussed with me when I was unable to drop a large amount of money on blood work, it was very aggravating to have someone that is suppose to be there to help judge and be rude. I will say she did try a med. without the blood work sense I did not want to put the dog down so thank you for that, but I will never go back I have already found a new vet who has manage to make my doggie feel better in 2 days and be truthful and realistic with me.

Dr. Ryan killed my beloved Boxer Bear. He was five years old and healthy, but he had a perineal hernia which needed repair. When I picked him up after surgery, I was told he was stable enough to go home even though he was still panting and not yet walking. The staff told me that was fairly normal for a Boxer after surgery and to just keep a close eye him. Dr. Ryan herself never came out to tell me anything. My Boxer died at home in my arms three hours later as I was watching him closely as instructed. I didnt know I was watching him die until it was too late. I called the next morning to tell the office he had died. I was told the vet would call me back. I have not heard one single solitary word from the vet herself since I dropped my happy Bear off at her office for surgery on Friday morning. If you love your pets, take them somewhere else. I wish I had done a better job of researching her before I subjected my baby to her care. My heart is forever broken.

My dog went in for a dog fight really bad one she had an intense surgery and then the vet told me to walk her to get the swelling out well now on day three she has split her leg open and I take her to emergency hospital and they say she should not have been walking at all and now she will have her leg amputated. I will never recommend this vet to anyone and I still have to pay the charges they gave me I know have a vet bill with them and the new vet that total over 3000

My cat had Kittens back in September. By the 1st day i noticed that one of them was not feeding right. I called the Buckeye Veterinary and they were able to fit us in the very next morning. When my husband and I got there we were treated very well. The staff showed us compassion when we had to have our kitten put to sleep. a week or 2 later we got a condolence card from the staff. The prices were more then fair and the staff was awsome.
