The only reason this hospital does not receive 5 stars from me is because of the behavior exhibited by a group of its staff members. My son was born at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn. The hospital was clean, neat, and welcoming. My wife, son, and I spent a few nights in the family birthing suites which are on the same property as the hospital but not actually in the hospital; the suites were comfortable. The lactation specialists were rotten and inconsiderate - not one of them, every one of them. If stubbornness, malice, and apathy could be awarded, all 5 of them would receive the antithesis of a Nobel Peace Prize. They all did not heed any signals from my wife or me. They all insisted that their way of teaching breastfeeding to my wife was the only way there is to teach. They all drove my sons head into the breasts of my wife repeatedly despite her misgivings and my sons cries; this began less than a day after the birth of my son and continued over the few days we stayed in the family birthing suites (We continued to ask for a lactation specialist to come into our room to teach my wife how to breastfeed, thinking that not every one of them could be disrespectful. We were wrong and should have stopped the madness at Number 2. The last one, who was the most inconsiderate and rotten, was the manager of the lactation specialists.) I personally think all of them should be forced to resign and a newer, concerned and more attentive staff hired. One bad apple spoils the bunch. All the other staff members exemplify the qualities of a respectable human being. The cafeteria produces fine food. There is plenty of covered parking and security near the family birthing suites. You will do fine to give birth to your child at the Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Campus Family Birthing Suites if you do not need the assistance of the lactation specialists - unless the staff has changed for 2011.

Today March 20th 2016 at 5 PM, I drove my grandson to Emergency at this Hospital, we arrived with a 15 years old with left chest pain and a numb left arm. The triage nurse was asking about allergies to medications, and medications he was taken. We described that the patient has MALIGNANT HYPERTHERMIA, immediatelly the NURSE said "that is a condition not an allergy to medications" The ignorance of the NURSE has to be question, since the number one problem with MALIGNANT HYPERTHERMIA are "ANESTHETICS" a medication to put you to sleep. Secondly: I was questioned as to how we know he has this ALLERGIES, we explained that a muscle biopsy was done and it showed positive. IT IS VERY AGGRAVATING WHEN A "PROFESSIONAL" A "NURSE" DOES NOT KNOW THE JOB AND PRETEND TO KNOW IT ALL, JUST LIKE DONALD TRUMP. IT IS SICKENING. WE ARE NOT GOING TO EDUCATE THEIR PEOPLE IN 3 MINUTES. THEY SHOULD KNOW THE MEDICAL CONDITIONS AND WHAT IS AN ALLERGY AND WHAT IS NOT. MALIGNANT HYPERTHERMIA IS A GENETIC DISORDER, AND DOES NOT SKIP GENERATIONS, MANY PEOPLE HAS DIED ON THE OPERATING TABLE DUE TO ANESTHETICS AND MALIGNANT HYPERTHERMIA. For that and other things I will give them a one star, the Doctor was in a hurry, but I will bet, he will find time to add every little bit he can to the bill, as well as the Hospital. For all that, they will find time.

I would give ZERO stars to the so called NURSES on floor #6 recent stay 7/31/2017-8/2/2017 also ZERO stars to the two so called Hospital hired Doctors to look after me before and after my surgery for my own personal Surgeon who is the expert in his field NOT those quacks.... Thank you to the kind pregnant Aide who helped me get through the most horrifying experience of my life at that hospital and the Cardiologist Asst and the Cardiologist himself very professional and nice. I was also disappointed in the wait times for FOOD but they did do their best to correct the problem thank you. I want to give 5 STARS to Dr.J.Yang my hand Surgeon on many occasions and the Surgical team and Surgical Nurses and all Staff who worked to ensure my safety as I am allergic to Anesthesia and have suffered episodes of Malignant Hyperthermia in the past and last but not least thank you to Shelley Akers in charge of patient relations complaints against quality of care from Nurses and Doctors VIOLATING PATIENTS PRIVACY and RIGHTS. I will continue to be Dr.Yang patient but I will NEVER go to this Hospital again and will let my friends and family know my experiences so they can make a inform decision before they or their Loved ones go here.

March 21, 2016 through March 28, 2016 - My father fell and was knocked unconscious on Monday evening. He was transported to Scottsdale Osborn Hospital by ambulance. His eye was swollen shut, he had 3 broken ribs and was admitted to the hospital. Throughout the week, we were told that the Orbital surgeon would visit him. The surgeon stopped by early Tuesday morning never to be heard from again. In spite of the fact that he can not see, my fathers eye was never checked by an appropriate doctor. On Saturday, I was at the hospital for 9 hours and never saw the nurse. She did not even come in to introduce the new nurse at shift change. My father needed to walk but was simply left in bed for 7 days. The doctors and nurses who did stop in had different ideas about his treatment and release. It was very clear that they did not communicate with each other. I do not believe he was being appropriately cared for. I have had numerous hospital experiences in Colorado Springs that were much better than at this hospital. I would not recommend this hospital. He moved to a rehab place where I hope he can get better care. I will say, that the Aids were very good.

From the time I checked in the nurse who checked me was very uncaring I dont know if she was having a bad day, didnt seem to care that I was in a lot of pain, I dont go to the hospital because I want to, and then sitting in the waiting room for over 2 hours and then when I was finally called back I wasnt asked if I needed a wheelchair I could hardly walk she took off way ahead of me and then noticed I wasnt behind her oh do you need a wheelchair, she brings me one and its broken I told her I was sliding out of it it was missing an arm she put down the one foot peddle didnt offer to help me get my leg up let alone the other one before taking off, I would think with my back history which they have on the computer because my surgeries where done at your hospital, I think and MRI should have been done to see whats going on, but no a shot and some pills and send me on my way, Im in so much pain still, Im following the directions on the paperwork with no relief, I was told to come back if I didnt feel any relief in sight, I would rather die first then come back to your hospital.
