I have been a client of La Plaza Veterinary Clinic for a few years now. I have been impressed with Dr. Reifs knowledge. Hes been very helpful keeping costs down, especially when a few of my pets were very ill. Constant visits to his office etc..... I like the fact hes willing to accept a payment schedule, this has helped us so much. His office staff are helpful and courteous. He is kind and compassionate. Does not "nickel and dime" you so to speak. Answers all of your questions honestly. I wish though that he had after hours boarding. Especially since we have a diabetic cat and another cat that has hyperthyroidism and he knows these animals and their treatment/medication. Weve had to leave the diabetic cat with another clinic and the results were horrible. Its hard for us to go on vacation because of this. We have a multi pet household. He has a low cost vaccination clinic every Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 PM And his office hours are convenient, open on Saturdays too. But, only from 9:00 to 1:00 He doesnt actually take veterinary insurance plans but will help with the claims process/paperwork. As well as the fact he doesnt accept CARE credit. His fees are reasonable nonetheless.

Amazing Doctor, Amazing Human. Dont listen to the negative nellies, let them go pay high prices to satisfy there need for a high class waiting room. This is the best Dr in the state, he loves his job, he loves the animals, he doesnt over charge his clients like all the other vets around, this man is doing a great service for all animals. I took my friends dog to her vet (northpark Veterinary) to see why he was scratching his face, and they said he needed 2 teeth pulled and a dental, he just was there 4 months ago for a dental and 1 tooth pulled why didnt they do it all at the same time? $600., now they want $1200. So I told her wait a minute lets think about this. So another friend recommended Dr Reif, we go in there and he says his teeth are fine, no cracks or breaks, he has allergies, gives him some meds sends us on our way $82. BEST VET EVER. Yeah the places needs some fixing up and some primping but I would rather it stay the way it is and the prices affordable. Oh FYI if he had done the dental his price was $550. Dont believe all the bad reviews go make your own opinion. Some people are just prudes

My cat had lived a very long and happy life and had come to a point where his health started to fail. Within a few weeks it was clear he wasnt going to get better and though he never stopped purring in my arms I could see he was suffering and getting worse by the hour. It was a week before payday and when the vet whod seen Caleb in the past refused to help him without payment in full up front I was desperate. I started calling vets from all around and only one agreed to help me. La Plaza Clinic. Dr. Reif is one of those rare individuals in his field who puts the well being of an animal above all else. He was kind and gentle and the service he provided was done in such a thoughtful and considerate way. I cant imagine taking my animals anywhere else.

I had them as my main vet for a few years and it seemed to be more of a business then a place that truly cared for animals. I was told it was a low income vet clinic, but its about avg. cost the Dr. usually was straight to the point with a lot of extra costs. Normally when I left my bill exceeded $150 even for miner conditions. When I asked if they could work with me on the bill or if there were any home remedys I could use he became very sh-rude with me. The next time I visited them I wasnt treat the same way and changed vets

We have been clients of Dr. Reifs since 1991. As with all experiences with pets there are good, bad, happy and sad. Dr. Reif has been there for all of them. He is a country doctor who is caring and running an extremely busy clinic that can be unpredictable. When our animals have needed a specialists opinion he has not hesitated to let us know to go confer. Kudos to you La Plaza! Thank you for being there for us, thick and thin.

PLEASE before you take a new patient here go on Yelp and read the reviews that are not "recommended" (ie from people who havent written enough yet). I took my terrier here and they were absolutely terrible with him. He was a quivering mass of fear after his appointment, I have NEVER seen anything like it. I will never go back here. Please think twice, take your precious pet somewhere else.

We have been going to Dr. Reif for over 15 years, two dogs and 5 cats. He is thorough, kind and reasonably priced. He doesnt push for treatment that isnt going to add quality to a pets life. We are between pets right now and have moved to Sebastopol but next pets will still be taken to Dr. Reif in Cotati. I will take kind and competent over stylish any day.

We all have lots of animals and Dr Reif and his staff love our cats and we feel he provides the best care and lots of information about each issue and how best to treat and care for each symptom.
