December 1, 2011 My husband and I have been patients at Encino Optometric for many years. We both wear contacts and glasses. We have always gotten excellent care. They have the latest equipment, keep current on innovations in eyecare and give you all of the options available. Dr. Phoo is very sharp, patient, and is all about providing the very best care. The Office Manager, Kathy, goes the extra step to give excellent customer service. I wanted a special kind of contact lens. She jumped through hoops to research the products available and to get what I wanted and needed. They are simply the best and we would not even think of going anywhere else! Linda

I have been a patient of their office for many years, initially with Dr Silvers, but when she retired, with Dr. Phoo. I have found Dr. Phoo to be very knowledgeable and careful. He spends time with me, is very thorough in his examination, is always in good humor, and I never feel that he is in a hurry to go onto the next patient. He has given me excellent advice in treating a chronic eyelid problem, and even came in on a Saturday on an emergency basis. I have a great deal of confidence in his expertise, and just as important, in his character. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful. Rich A.

I really like this office. The staff is very friendly and when you call to make appts. they are very helpful. I see Dr. Phoo and he has very good bedside manners. He listens and is always about helping and giving the best quality. A few times i had trouble with my eye and had to get in before work, the office was very helpful and got me in quickly so i could still make it to work. I had to be fitted with hard contacts and other doctors could not fit me to where it didnt hurt when i wore them. This office was able to fit me with hard contacts and gave me back the quality of life that i had lost.

Dr. Kolom and his entire staff are the best. He is very thorough and when all the tests were completed, he gave his recommendation for treatment, answered all our concerns and made sure we understood everything. Another doctor recommend surgery that Dr. Kolom felt was not warranted at this time. We have been seeing him for a number of years and would recommend him to anyone not only for specialty care, but for yearly eye exams.

Met with Dr. Phoo today ss part of a 4 hour marathon eye appt that started at a different practice which ultimately referred me to him. Great attitude and friendly. Willing to discuss tests, future procedures. Staff very pleasant and welcoming. I needed custom, medically necessary contacts expedited and Dr. Phoo was the best in helping me out. I received the highest quality attention by Dr. Phoo. He is calm, careful and all that his reputation would lead one to expect. I got the state of the art pairs of glasses that are unique, modern, and a rare find! The service was so great that I managed to switch my prescription from clear to transition to sunglasses, as needed. Highly recommend for a visit.

I was one of Dr. Gordons patients and now see Dr. Quach (sp?). She is extremely thorough, caring, knowledgeable and friendly. I can recommend her with no reservation.

Dr. Phoo is an amazing doctor. My husband and I always enjoy our visits to his office. He is very thorough in his explanation of services, and makes difficult information easy to understand. If you are looking for a new eye doctor then definitely take the time to check him out.

No hassle, in and out. The staff knows how to help and prices are more than reasonable. They have plenty of parking right next to the building so you dont have to worry about walking around the neighborhood. Thanks Michael!

Paul - I had been a patient of Dr. Gordon since he was at Kaiser. (A zillion years ago.) Dr. Phoo has the same level of detail and thoroughness as Dr. Gordon. Im happy to have someone with his interest in his patients.
