The front desk receptionist, June, had so many questions about why I need to see a GI. She said did I already or have seen my primary doctor? I said my primary doctor receptionist referred me to see a GI specialist. Then June asks did they give you a referral? I said no, because they are incapable of finding a doctor with both of my insurance Medi-Medi. So, I had to search on my own. My primary receptionist could only provide Cal-optima website, she said. So, I verified today with my insurance if I can see a specialist directly without making an appt with a primary. The answer is Yes. I have had stomach problems twice a year now and also have a surgery in the past with my intestine kinked and having stomach pain. My point is June, should seek another job. She kept asking me if I have HMO when I told her I have Medical and Medicare. She should understand the answer. But she sounds like she just wants to be on the phone for a long time ask she wasnt interested in setting up an appt with me. I finally hung up on her because of that. Is she the doctor? I dont think so. She should not work there, be fired, work at a non-professional non-service environment and non-healthcare. She doesnt understand the patience problem and why I am setting up an appt with a GI. After, being referred from a doctors office and reading what GI doctors do. And I was already able to set an appt with someone else, since June is so annoying of her questions and language barrier. Need someone who is more careful and what to say to patience and not refused them if they are having a gastro- problem and would like to see a GI. Thank you.
