I just first want to say I always come here and will never go back. I arrived about 830 and had my vitals and blood work done by 10. I was then called back, payed in a bed for 3 hours crying because of the pain and not one person stopped by. I watched 3 other women get treated (temperature, pain from 1 to 10? Etc). After about 2 hours I asked for help. The nurse asked what was wrong and I told her my daughter was brought in here 2 days ago with the flu and I THINK I have that. She then told me I dont have the flu. I then asked what was wrong with me. She wasnt even working in my area because I never saw her again. I waited as long as I could then went to the nurse a little mad. I asked why I was being ignored and he told me "the doctor will be coming with your discharged paper, but its will be a while because hes on the other side of the hospital." And I started to cry and said Ive been. Laying in pain. He told me I couldnt have anything. I replied with "Ill take a ibuprofen, anything. I hurt all over so bad." Bottom line he couldnt give me anything and I would be going home as soon as the doctor comes over. I got dressed and left. I told the nurse I can lay in a bed in pain at home, and if something was extremely wrong with me, Im going to sue. He didnt bat and eye so I left. My father had my daughter so I was by myself. When he picked me up he went inside to get a number to complain. We left a message and never never from then so far. Im disappointed. I will notry be paying them a cent and my dad and me are willing to take you to small claims just to make a point. Id suggest you call my father back. Ive washed my hands of it but my dad is far from forgetting how horrible I was treated.

Both my husband and I have had two back surgeries with Dr. Elvert Nelson. All four experiences were superior to treatment in any other hospital either of us have encountered. Staff is courteous, friendly, highly skilled, and always on top of their game. We owe our good recoveries to these people!!! On my last visit, April 14, 2017, my husband came in very late the next afternoon ( we live in Modesto so stay in one of the local hotels that offers a "hospital" rate). Long story short, he collapsed and was admitted through the ER. It was several days and a number of tests to determine hed suffered a mild heart attack as a result of a myasthenia gravis crisis (eventually diagnosed by Sutter neurologist). He went back and forth between telemetry and ICU for a few days until he stabilized. It was superior nursing and several astute physicians with whom we credit the saving of his life over a 22 day stint. Does Sutter have flaws? Of course it does. It is frustrating to want answers immediately or to have a doctor with you when you want to talk. There is definitely waiting involved. Our biggest "complaint" would be about the hospitalists in general. There to provide medical care on a shift basis, they dont always or even often know the history of the patient assigned. Sutter needs to screen doctors and their experience more closely as well as provide time and insist they read the notes on each patient written by nursing and medical specialist staff. A serious flaw!! Yet when considering overall superior care by ALL of the other staff, I still need to give a FIVE STAR RATING!

Ive had good experiences here in times past but each of my last few visits (three ER visits, one hospitalization) was a mixed bag in terms of staff courtesy and professionalism. Some of the staff were excellent (kind and respectful) and some were awful (rude, condescending). Within the same visit, you could be made to feel welcome or just in the way, depending on which staff member was attending to you at any given moment. I felt like their #1 concern was just getting me out of there, not necessarily helping me. The wait time in the ER is ridiculous. After sitting in the lobby for hours, I was sent home in the same condition I came in with, with nothing for pain management once I left; and yet I was admitted when I returned the next night for the very same thing. I used to think Sutter Roseville was the best hospital in town, but not anymore; they seem so disorganized and disinterested now. I certainly dont enjoy hanging out at hospitals but in my opinion, if you need to be seen, Mercy Hospital of Folsom is the place to go in this area. Theyre prompt, courteous, and professional. Theres a flow to their ER, whereas Sutters has become like a stagnant pond, with an average wait time of 3 hours before ANYONE sees you, whereas Mercy Hospital of Folsom got necessary tests started within minutes of my arrival both times that Ive had to go to their ER within the past couple of months - and nobody made me feel like I was a bother for being there. I wonder what happened to Sutter Roseville. (Whatever it was wasnt good.)

Horrible horrible horrible I went in to the hospital for being in alot of pain and could not sleep head ache and left shoulder hurting and blind spot in left eye with head ache .. Any way I was embarrassed because I was in the process of getting a 48hr eeg ... So sitting there with wires and a cap over my head.. Embarrassing .. It is always dirty every time going in there it doesnt matter if there is 5 people or 20 people u will always wait for at least a good hour and 30 minutes to 3 hours .. Well after a hour and 30 minutes plus I ended up walking out .. Made appointment with doctor .. Apparently a patient going in with wires attached to their head a eeg .. History of seizures and going in there like that is not important..not to forget there is no emergency call pull button in the waiting room bathroom .. So if grandma or grandpa falls o well .. Ya horrible .. Plus funny only people giving 5 stars are there people who work there ..WELL ITS THE NEXT DAY AND THIS MORNING I HAD A SEIZURE I WILL BE TALKING TO SOMEONE WHO IS IN CHARGE OF THE E R .. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN OR EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE FIRED ...

I will never go here again. I recently went to the er with my son who was exhibiting symptoms of a kidney stone. We had to wait 5+ hours in the er waiting room with him in excruciating pain and vomiting violently. I told the doctor that i thought he had a kidney stone. While he was in terrible pain and vomiting they required him to walk to get a ct scan and his blood work done even though he has barely able to stand up. After about 4 hours, they gave him some nausea medicines and a pain med which he immediately vomited up. The doctor sent us home with him vomiting and writhing in pain with prescriptions that I would have to get filled to give him some relief. I will never go back to this er again. This is the third time i have been there in the last year and a half. All of these times my family and I have been treated like crap. This hospital does not treat people with respect. they see people as a number and refuse to acknowledge that anyone might know a little bit about their body. I will go to Sutter Davis from now on for my emergencies. At least they treat people with respect and care.
