I went here for shoulder pain, CFS, Liver enlargement, motivation problems from Kidney deficiency, dry skin, throat, mouth & gum irritation. I woke up constantly that night from a dry throat, mouth & sinuses extreme dryness that kept waking me up, I was constantly tired, I even took a nap & still slept at night through the morning. When I went to the gym my “Pre-workout” no longer worked! I started pouring with sweat & felt depleted through my entire workout. I called them up & they told me to flush w/water so I did that just to call them a 1 ½ weeks later to tell them no improvement, all prior symptoms have gotten worst! I just now realized they injected me with something thats drying up all my internal blood! They told me, “We told you to schedule a fallow up with a doctor or clinic” in other words; we want you to go to someone to convince you we did nothing wrong & all your symptoms are a result of something else! Who goes to a hospital to have to waste their time seeing another Doctor? They inserted a needle for IV then injected me w/ what they said was “Morphine” 6cc aprox.+/-, then did a lower abdominal scan & injected a dye that heated me up, I was instructed to raise my arm upon insertion of the MRI scanner & I couldn’t even raise my arm! If you know anything about medicine “Morphine” removes pain not make it worse! I read later it should never be injected in anyone w/ diabetes, liver, or kidney diseases. In western medicine Kidney disease is a deficiency ref. to TCM. I made a formula (TCM) that removes heat from the kidney, lung, & Liver when just like that I was no longer tired. Conclusion they knew my Gallbladder was not producing saliva & the heat introduced to my body will cause a gnawing hunger, & eventually dry me up like a chronic smoker! They injected me with nothing they claimed it to be! (According to signs & symptoms) Moreover, do you know how much it is just to start up that MRI machine? I added up all the tests done vs. My results to state the obvious! It’s how my state medical insurance pays off hospitals, Doctors etc.. to NOT diagnose me! They’ll pay a lot to not pay for the surgeries I need! The hospital machines are expensive but, all profit to run one & when their used unnecessarily they get the money & you get the shaft. As of to date my liver is pushing against my ribs worse & when I try to message the lower part under the floating rib my liver feels like I was in a fight & it got bruised up! Im in worse pain! If LUH dont murder you for wanting to sue them dont worry because BCH will finish you off! My liver is steal having spasms & Im sleeping 18hrs. out of 24hrs. & Ive been getting very angry=a symptom when your liver has deficiencies.

I am not surprised at all to see the majority of low ratings for this hospital. I recently went through a spell of severe anxiety and panic issues that caused me to visit this hospital on a couple separate occasions. My anxiety would get so bad I would have severe difficulty breathing, numb hands, chest pains, etc. I also had developed Adema, which only intensified my anxiety attacks. I understand that it may be confusing or even frustrating to individuals that are unfamiliar with what symptoms anxiety can cause, but hospital professionals (I apply the term professionals loosely to BCH staff) should have an idea. Without going into too much detail, as my comment could get quite lengthy, I will just put it bluntly. BCH is plagued by many sub par staff members (Nurses, doctors, etc.). After one of my visits, I was asked to give a urine sample, and followed into the bathroom by a nurse or doctor, I was unsure because I was so woozy from the large dose of Ativan I had recently received. He proceeded to lecture me about not wanting to see me in his ER anymore while I provided the sample. I hardly paid any attention to him, and finished providing the sample so I could stumble home under the heavy influence of Ativan. I only wanted to get out of that hospital, and many staff made it clear that they felt the same way. LOL! I laugh now because I have since been able to get into my main clinic and see my primary care physician, so my anxiety is becoming more manageable. After seeing all the low ratings (1 star), I decided to write this review since it appears the rude demeanor and insufficient medical care is common practice at BCH. I only gave 1 star because 0 stars was not an option. BCH needs to conduct a thorough review of who is employed at their hospital and make some serious changes. At this point, it is a complete joke and should be ashamed to call itself a facility for quality medical care.

First I want to say that I am a doctor and a pretty nice guy. I went in to the ER with a fractured femur. The mistakes that were made in my three days there were so numerous I dont even want to list them. The "staff" "is mainly made up of very young nurse assistants and the occasional actual nurse. If anything serious happens the MD gets called. Some staff members were great others acted like they were just punching the clock. Maybe I was spoiled because I have been to Boulder Orthopedics surgery center many times. They are topnotch. It does not seem like anyone is really running the place at BCH. When I asked for things often is was forgotten. In Post-op I had to be the one to demand compression stockings, elevation and more ice once I came to my senses. Dr. Rupine was good but a bit brief especially considering it was 12 hours after surgery, 7am and I was on pain medications. His PA was great. BCH is too big and the staff is too inexperienced . Their systems of communication are highly dysfunctional. Their list of phone numbes for home care is out of date, they gave numbers to obtain home use items such as a wheel chair and walker at 3:30pm on a Friday. Every one of these places closes by 3pm on Fridays if open at all, and are NOT open on the weekend. How am I supposed to get out of the car once I get home if I dont have a wheel chair or walker with a broken hip? And it goes on and on. The aids and nurses probably do not get paid very much...thats my guess. My suggestion: tighten up your operating procedures and hire more experienced staff. Its just sad really because I think the employees want to do a good job....they are just not given the tools. For orthopedics go the Boulder Center for Orthopedics if you can and if you have to go to BCH, make sure you take someone who knows medicine or you may get the worst care of your life.

After a concussion that sent me to the emergency room, Dr. Jason Rozeski treated me like scum and just another patient to get out of the emergency room. First, he requested three different examinations without taking the time to explain each in detail. Second, he did not follow up on the results of my examinations. I received a normal result for the first exam (the cat scan). I did another test, which I have yet to understand the purpose or what the results of that were. I refused the third exam because he was not present to explain what the point of that exam was. The nurse told me my cat scan was normal and sent me home with a concussion pamphlet. I wasnt expecting a five star treatment, but I was expecting them to help me understand my injury and why this concussion was so serious. Maybe that would be a 5-minute conversation? I am not the only patient who is treated like dirt at Boulder Community Hospital, and Dr. Rozeskis immature demeanor is not uncommon there either. Even though doctors go through a lot of tough patients to work with, they need to understand how people place trust into them and how strongly their words and actions influence their patients.
