Edit: After posting this review I was contacted by Chris, the new practice manager. She was as kind as could be and assured me that changes are taking place to ensure things like this dont happen to anyone else including talking to Dr. Lindsay about my concerns and giving Kim more help to handle the large volume of calls she recieves. I really appreciate the call and am changing my review from one star to three. Below is my original review: First I want to say Dr. Marcotty is wonderful as is most of the staff including Victoria, Dr. Lindsay s nurse. They get five stars. However this review is for Dr. Lindsay and the billing specialist, Kim, who would get zero stars if I could give that. Dr. Lindsay was fine when I first met her. However after each appointment I grew less impressed. She has poor bedside manner, is cold, and made me feel that every question I asked was dumb. I didnt feel she took my concerns seriously. I was in a lot of rib pain (which I hear is common, but I still wanted to talk about it) and she told me in so many words to suck it up and stop being a baby. On two occasions I didnt leave a urine sample or weight and yet she came into the exam room saying my urine sample and weight looked good. I found myself at Swedish hospital after experiencing early contractions at 28 weeks and she was there. I saw her in the labor and delivery ward and said hi as I went to my room. She was gossiping with the nurses in her downtime. I was there for 3 hours and she NEVER came in to see how I was doing. She asked me at 38 weeks to stimulate my labor even though I and the baby were perfectly healthy. I told her I would rather try to wait for it to come naturally. She asked again the next week. I told her the same. She then checked my cervix and made a very painful swirling motion that I later believe to have been her "sweeping my cervix" (a method used to induce labor). After leaving and trying to make another appointment I learned she would be out of the office the next week. An hour after leaving the office my labor began. I regret staying with Dr. Lindsay after the first red flag. I feel that I received poor care. As for Kim the billing specialist, I had a charge that I wasnt sure what it was for, neither did the receptionists. They recommended I call her and they gave me her phone number. I called with no answer and left a voicemail. Over the course of 3-4 months myself and the receptionists repeatedly called and left voicemails with zero answers or a single call back. I refused to pay without an explanation. I called and left 10-15 voicemails to no avail. In February I received a letter from a collection company. Instead of simply calling me back, she sent it to a collection company. I find this to be HIGHLY unethical. After this she finally answered one call, I was as kind as possible and asked if she could explain the charge. Her explanation was rude and condescending. After I understood the charge she hung up on me. I hope that the owner of this practice is aware of the problems with Dr. Lindsay and Kim, the billing specialist, as I do not want anyone else to have to go through the same grief this put me through during such a special moment in my life.

HEED THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!!! This place is AWFUL! From the very beginning this place was terrible. Not only does it take forever to get an appointment, even when you are an established patient, but because they pack so many people in, they dont feel they have to treat their patients with respect or common courtesy. So many things to cover but limited space, so we will cover the highlights. 1) my provider, Dr. Lindsey, was a biased, rude, judgemental provider who messed up my care so badly, I had to switch to another practice. I consulted my Veterans Service Officer about what happened to me there and showed them the records from my treatment there. They strongly urged me to seek legal counsel and to pursue the matter further. I only wanted a happy, healthy, pregnancy, not to have to deal with a big drama. I attempted to resolve the issue with the practice directly, and simply switched to the Mountain Vista in Littleton to avoid further negative treatment (also a miserable, I eventually had to quit MV all together around 34 weeks). 2) this practice is incompetent when it comes to billing. I spoke to their practice manager, Chris Tillman, many times in an effort to get what happened with Dr.L taken seriously, but also to resolve billing issues. The practice kept billing me for things covered by my insurance. Ms.Tillman first lied to me and said services werent covered, even after insurance confirmed that they were and that they were using the wrong codes. At first, she told me that they would take care of it and I would no longer be billed. After that, Ms. Tillman refused to answer my calls, or address the many vms I left her. I am now receiving calls from a collection agency! After being told it was handled! Ms. Tillman still dodges my calls to this day. Now my credit is affected because of this miserable experience in prenatal care. 3) the nurses are also incompetent. I once had to be stuck multiple times by two different nurses, only to then be told I needed to go to a lab so a competent tech could draw my blood, thus turning my appointment into a four hour, multiple stop, painful ordeal. 4) the women up front are rude and disorganized. I had to give them my insurance information sooo many times that it added a full 45 min to the beginning of every appointment for the entire time I was there, and they still messed it up. BOTTOM LINE: I could go on forever about the million different things that made my experience at this practice so terrible, but what it boils down to is this- Avoid this place like the plague! My pregnancy was ruined with anxiety and frustration in dealing with these people. They will do whatever they can to hit you up for any charge that they can, and not even do you the courtesy of taking advantage of your insurance company instead of you. They will lie to you and do anything they can to avoid making it right and to force extra $ out of you. Dont go here! There are other places in lakewood that will treat you properly and without the misery and complications.

Mtn Vista is a great clinic. Their staff is competent and friendly, the tech is an absolute sweetheart and very good at drawing blood (I have bad veins and she never had to poke me twice!) The ultrasound tech is warm and kind, the exact type of personality youd want sharing such an important moment with. She never rushed us and got us incredible pictures of our baby! I saw Dr. Lindy and wow, she is the ideal Dr. She listened to my concerns and welcomed my questions and took her time answering them. She was very warm and welcoming to my 2 year old son. She would give me the facts without pushing her own agenda and would share her opinions only if I asked. She is a wonderful doctor and if I have another baby, Id definitely choose her again!
