I started going to Littleton Dental as a recommendation from my mother. Being terrified of the dentist, she felt that I would have a better experience there since that was her experience. As further evidence of my fear for dentists, I had not been in 8 years. I had spent these years trying to encourage myself to go to the dentist for a cleaning. When I finally mustered the courage to visit Littleton Dental, I received x-rays and a cleaning. I was told that I had periodontal disease, gingivitis, and that I would need to come back for a deep cleaning. Along with that recommendation I was told that one of the large metal fillings that I had had for 15 years was cracking and that I would need a crown and two fillings. On February 20th, 2014 I received the deep cleaning along with the two fillings. I came back on March 6th, 2014 for my temporary crown followed by my permanent about three weeks after that date. Kayee Ho performed all of these procedures. I moved out of state in April 2014, but returned to Littleton periodically for work. During a trip back, on May 22nd, I came in for a cleaning and check up. Kayee was on vacation and a male dentist mentioned that I may need another filling and that we may need to watch my gums. My husband decided that I should get a consultation with his lifelong dentist that he has kept, despite moving all over the country. On June 2nd I went in for a consultation. I told the new dentist about all the new work that I had in Colorado and that I had a cleaning 10 days prior. The dentist made the comment; "you must be a heavy coffee and tea drinker if you just had your teeth cleaned, as your teeth are quite stained." I found this very surprising as I am most definitely neither a coffee nor a tea drinker or a soda or red wine drinker for that matter. He took new x-rays, 3D x-rays, and actual photographs and proceeded to go over the findings with me. Showing me the x-ray of my new crown (from Littleton Dental), he pointed out that there is still dead tooth underneath the crown. He also asked me where the new fillings were, so I pointed to where I thought they were and he pulled up the teeth that they should have been on. He said that there could have been a filling there, but they left decay around it. Needless to say, the experience of viewing my teeth and the recent work that had been done was extremely disappointing and trying on my trust with Littleton Dental. It was easy to trust what the new dentist was telling me because I could see for myself with the photos. He was also kind enough to give me copies of the photos. I have already had my teeth cleaned and both of the fillings from Kayee redone. I will be getting the crown redone in December. In addition, I do not have periodontal disease nor do I have gingivitis. Being terrified of the dentist to begin with, and then finding out that I ended up going to an incompetent dentist was very upsetting. Not only will I not be returning to Littleton Dental, my mother is exceedingly hesitant to return along with my younger sister.

Although I received adequate dental care from Dr. Ho, my experience at Littleton Dental was absolutely horrendous. The administrative function of this office is where nearly all my dissatisfaction comes from. After receiving several expensive crowns I began receiving notices from my insurance provider stating that they wouldnt pay for care I received due to inadequate documentation of the condition that would necessitate the crowns. I immediately brought this matter to the attention of Dana at Littleton dental. She told me this was fairly common and they would resubmit documentation so the insurance would take care of it. Eventually that happened, but in all the confusion I found that I had overpaid them due to a double billing. Again I brought this to the attention of Dana, who said shed take care of it. In the meantime, I started receiving account past due notices. I brought these to the attention of Dana, who said shed take care of it... again. Keep in my mind, they owed me money, not the other way around. When my account reached 6 months past due, I finally gave up and went to their office with the intent of paying the past due amount to avoid collection agencies and negative repercussions to my credit. They refused to accept payment, again stating that the matter would be taken care of and I would be credited the amount they owed me. Then I started getting notices and phone calls from a collection agency. Absolutely inexcusable. Although these eventually stopped, I dont know if it was due to Dana and Littleton dental rectifying the situation. My credit report still doesnt reflect the incident so I do hope it was rectified. In the meantime Ive had to closely monitor the situation to see if legal action would be required. I simply have no other recourse. My experience left such a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended), that I didnt seek dental care for a couple of years as a result. I finally had to replace a night guard that cost $550 at Littleton Dental. I received care at Aspen View dental, and was charged $250 for a new night guard. That is what finally prompted me to write this review. I initially chose Littleton dental based on the number of positive reviews I found on Google. I came to find out that, at the time, Littleton dental was giving water piks to everyone who brought in a copy of a review written for Google. This likely prompted a lot of positive reviews after very brief experience with this practice. My review reflects my long term experience with them. I didnt get a water pik either.

This was my third visit to Littleton Dental. It was a pleasant experience because I had a problem & was worried that it might not go well. I was immediately welcomed when I came in, by the receptionist, and sat in the waiting room for about 3 minutes before being called to come in for my appointment with my new dentist, Dr. Brandon Angus, DDS. After introductions, I described what happened; 7 months ago I had a new mouthguard made here. It was a little unpleasant because the fitting for the mouthguard made me gag and nearly vomit. When I got the mouthguard, it didnt fit well and hurt in my mouth. It eventually became more comfortable and I was happy with it. A few days ago, I was drying it with a towel after washing it. The mouthguard broke in half in my hands! I couldnt believe that it happened, but obviously it was true. Dr Angus immediately looked at the broken item and said that it should have held-up much longer. He checked the date it was made and told me it will be replaced with no charge. I was relieved. Then he asked if I wanted to have a new impression taken of my teeth right now? I was apprehensive, but when the technician, Eric Santamaria, introduced himself, I felt better because he was a friendly & self assured young man. Eric handled the procedure very skillfully and I had a much easier experience this time. Dr Angus and the entire staff at Littleton Dental were courteous and professional. I felt very comfortable there.
