We finally left this very expensive vet after 7 years. We really liked the doctors, the intimate feeling and the availability. Honestly, we have no idea what happened here. The office is now poorly managed and things that started as a minor annoyances turned into serious problems and threats to our dogs health. The vet almost never never remembered to prep us before visits and they often completely failed to share information between doctors. Recently, they scheduled a major visit and surgery for us. First they had forgotten the primary reason for the surgery. Then it turned out they forgot to order the ultrasound. Then they LIED about being ready for the appointment, which could have resulted in two separate surgeries for our elderly dog instead of one. They never told us about post surgical medications. There is more, but too long to note here. We asked to speak with the vet/owner but nearly two months later, we still have not heard back - from anyone. Dr. Elliott is a nice vet, but her business is not good. Definitely find a better place to go.

The care our puppy has receiced from the vets has always been good, advice and treatment sound, which is of course the priority in choosing where to go for veterinary care. I do take issue with the fact that they seem quick to up charge whenever and wherever possible. They couldnt tell me over the phone, for example, that male puppies rarely have UTIs, but instead the frequent urination was more likely him beginning to "mark;" they had to schedule an expensive appointment to communicate this as opposed to me monitoring. When my puppy had a horrible reaction to eating pepperoni, despite the situation being clearly communicated to them and very black and white, they immediately tried to take him back to test for giardia. It just feels like they are trying to rip you off too often.

The Animal Hospital is very good about donating services to animal rescue organizations. They also have Sunday hours which is very rare. Contrary to the Google listing, there is not parking other than street parking which can be an issue when bringing your pet and not knowing how far you will have to walk, especially if you have more than one animal. For this reason, we only come here with animals for the rescue we work with. For our own cats, we drive to a Virginia vet with parking. If we had a dog, it wouldnt matter and wed likely patron them because of their charitable work.

Great staff and amazing vets - we recently moved to this vet from the ever so busy City Paws Animal Hospital on 14th Street because Dr. Hamilton joined Palisades Veterinary Clinic. Our 4 year old Labrador Mix got a little roughed up at the dog park and needed to be seen with multiple lacerations. Dr. Venit took great care of Sophie and she is now on the mend resting at home. The front desk staff of Silvia and Juliana are a perfect first impression! I would HIGH recommend Palisades Veterinary Clinic - it is hard not to like PVC!

The vets and staff at Palisades Veterinary Clinic are great. We have taken our puppy in a few times for various reasons and they always make her feel comfortable and happy. It is absolutely worth driving half an hour to know that our dog is in good hands. We are always able to get in immediately for an appointment and the staff follows up within a few days. I definitely would recommend this vet to anyone in the DC metro area with dogs or cats.

After just adopting a rescue dog with many unknown issues at adoption time, I was given an appointment the same day with Dr. Babcock. She was honest and caring, gave clear, thoughtful advice, and was generous with her time. The front desk ladies were kind and helpful, balancing a host of barking dogs, the phone, and owners nicely. Highly recommend, especially if they are in your neighborhood.

Palisades Vet Clinic is fantastic. Our kitty wasnt feeling so well and we wanted to get her checked out. They got us an appointment the same day, a Saturday, with Dr. Elliott. She was friendly and extremely helpful. Lately weve been working with Dr. Venit who has been a great help. I feel like everyone one at Palisades Vet Clinic cares just as much about my pet as I do!

Ive been taking my dog Tessie to Palisades for over 7 years and the care she has received has been excellent. Tessie is used in dog training and I need her to be healthy and fit. Palisades Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Jann Elliott have been medically conservative, which I like, and their fees are very reasonable. A+

The doctors are wonderful. They took me in at a last minute notice on the weekend and treated my cat like family. I really appreciated their honesty and willingness to spend time explaining all the procedures and medications. I highly recommend this clinic for your pet!

Shocker is ion the good hands of Dr. Elliot for 7 years now. First and hopefully last surgery this week went smoothly. Even though his paw was the affected area he is getting around very well. Thank you

Dr. Fisher is great! Just be warned the front of house is a little chaotic. Worth it though for how they treat your pet.
