This was my first experience with this business, and people knowing me, know that I will tell it like it is... It had been 3 years since my last eyeglass prescription, I didnt want to return to the last optical shop where I felt like I was just a number and someone who no one listened to. My reason for saying this is that, each person in that practice seemed to be operating independently of one another. The person who checked me in told me one thing [that they were going to dilate my eyes, etc], the next person asked me what I was there for [shouldnt they already know this], By the time I got to the doctor, a very nice but confused lady, she kept running back and forth between patients; I even forgot things I was supposed to address, with all that confusion. I never got my eyes dilated...but they made sure they got their money. Even though it was only $69 with the promise of 2 pair of glasses, I couldnt wait to get out of there...I just took my prescription and left. I eventually got my prescription filled through Zenni, to my satisfaction. That office needs to get it together; the tension is very high and it seemed like everyone had no idea what communication meant. That was my first and last visit....this was not my first rodeo--I knew what professionalism looked like...and that was not it. Through my insurance, Amerigroup, I was given this business as my provider. With tongue in cheek, I made an appointment and waited for my day to come... [let me add one more factor to the mix..I have Medicaid...and that usually turns most visits into a bad situation, from rude workers to less than decent products being offered, sometimes, even an unsolicited "you should be satisfied with whatever you get" attitude...theres usually a huge difference between having Medicaid insurance vs. regular insurance..and the accompanying attitudes and service levels...I know, I have been there.] At ADVANCED OPTICAL, none of the above was true; I was treated like a human being, from start to finish [reception, to assistants, to very informed and friendly Dr Vu]. I was pleasantly surprised as to the depth of my care, through thorough care and discussion of my current medical condition, Diabetes, which can greatly affect eyesight and eye health. Dr Vu spent, I thought, an inordinate amount of time with me...but to my great surprise, I came out having a better understanding of not only the effect of Diabetes on my health, but of an eye condition called Corneal Guttata aka FUCHS DYSTROPHY...I can honestly say, I was pleasantly surprised by my care and service with Advanced Optical...where I was treated with dignity and respect. I will definitely be back, and with my big mouth, I will spread the cheer. Thank you, all of you @ Advanced Optical...[and its all true].

Dr. Scardino and his staff are friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. The office is always clean and bright and we do not have to wait long to be seen. They are very respectful of our time. They have a great understanding of insurance coverages and are ready and willing to work out the best way for you and your family to get what you need. I would send anyone to this office for treatment. They are great with the children as well. They are fantastic.

Recently I had to have my annual eye exam and through my ins. co. I decided to go to a new office for me, Dr Samuel Scardino @ Advanced Optical. I can honestly tell everyone that the facility and ALL of the Staff and of course Dr Scardino are the BEST. I now have a new eye doctor for myself. I suggest them to anyone who is in need of finding a GREAT eye doctor. PS also have a lab in the facility.

Awesome Dr. and staff. Dr. Scardino has always made me feel comfortable. His staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I have have always been called into the back to start my appointments within 15 minutes of arriving. I always make my two girls appt at the same time and we are in and out within an hour. I would recommend this office.
