My dogs come here for their annual and 6-month shots as well as for (minor) emergencies. Saturdays their busiest day because of walk-ins but Ive never experienced a very long wait time if I come on Saturday without an appointment. Reception staff is always very friendly during the wait. The techs are amazing. I always see "first available" vet, and Ive never been disappointed. I really like that the staff seems to enjoy being at work. They are all friendly to each other, laugh and have a good time while being really efficient and thorough with their patients. I think this helps make my dogs more comfortable because the atmosphere isnt stuffy. I appreciate that they recognize my dogs even though Ive only been there a handful of times. It seems like they keep a lot of staff and have a lot of facility room which helps them keep patients moving. I havent shopped around for vets so I dont know prices, but they seem a little higher than my old vet in Ocala. Im very happy about the quality of care though, so Coop and Daisy will keep coming.

HORRIBLE!! Do not take your pet here! They hide costs in your bill! You call and get quoted one price then u come in and an office visit is hidden in the costs. Also if you love your pet and the well being of your pet do not go here! They will tell u a test takes 2 days but it really takes 5! Dont call them everyday or more than once in a day concerned for your pet based on what they told u because you will get attitude from the front desk. Who cares that ur going out of town with plans and trying to make sure ur dog will be ok be because they dont! In fact when the results come in they will tell u in email and 2 voicemails to go someplace else. If they leave a message on your home phone they will give u hard time giving u results over the phone and tell u to check your voicemail while your out of town!! This was my first time here and they are running a poor business! Since then Ive been told by others just how horrible this place is. I was just trying to go some place closer to my home!

Im new to the area, and did a lot of research on surrounding vets before deciding on Dale Mabry Animal Hospital. I like that they are a walk-in clinic. I went on a Saturday morning (busiest day), but still didnt have to wait too long before being seen. I liked that a tech took my pup back to get his vitals while we waited for an available room, as that cut down on the appointment time. I can tell that the staff and doctors really care about your pets. Ive been to some offices where it seems like they are just trying to nickel and dime you for every little thing. My dog was comfortable and loved all of the attention he received from the vet, techs, front office staff, and anyone who happened to walk by. Ive already booked boarding for my dog for an upcoming trip, because I know he will get tons of love and attention while Im out of town! Very impressed with this animal hospital!

THIS PLACE IS A RIPOFF. I bring my familys 6 month old kitten in because he was in rough shape. Lethargic, not eating, actually had a yellow tint to him. This place charged me $585 for "tests" on a 5 lb kitten. And they couldnt tell me a thing after all of these tests were done. Both vets said "we dont know what happened to your cat because we were not there to monitor what he may have gotten in to." No crap you werent there. I wasnt either. Thats why Im paying $585, for you to tell me what happened. They gave me the same possibilities that I could find on google. Only after I mentioned he may have been exposed to some toxins outside (pesticides, plants maybe) did they consider it may have been that. Why dont you have a test to look at that? Spent all that money, my kitten ends up dying there overnight and they got nothing for me. A disgrace.

DMAH is a very welcoming family! You can walk-in with your pet and get in quickly. The vets are very informed and personable. They tell you how it is and even give recommendations on things you can do to improve your pets atmosphere at home. I have two scenarios to include in this review. The first was tow new cats moving into together for the first time. We brought one in becuase she apeared stressed out. The vet gave us some great advice on socializing the cats as well as things to do to make the home more welcoming to both. The next scenario involved one of our cats having a blockage and was unable to urinate more than a few drops. The vet examined him and recommended surgery. He referred us to a vet that is very well versed in the procedure. Everything turned out great after the surgery. Net-net, you wont be disappointed!

Bailey, my beagle, received follow up care from Dr. Leavengood regarding an ulcer on his eye. The time and care that Dr. Leavengood provides is greatly appreciated!!! I highly recommend Dale Mabry Animal Hospital. Bailey and his wife, Bella who is also a beagle, love Dr. Leavengood and would recommend him highly. All of the doctors at Dale Mabry Animal Hospital are terrific and the staff is very helpful and understanding no matter if you are stressed out and upset or if you are worried to death about your FURbaby. If you care about your pets as my wife and I do, you would bring your family members to Dale Mabry Animal Hospital. PS. My first pet, SHORTY..a black cat was taken care of by DALE MABRY ANIMAL HOSPITAL from 1982 to 2001. Yes, Shorty lived 18 years , 10 months. Thanks DMAH!!!

I called "my vet" and told them my cat was very sick. I asked if they had a payment plan or could wait until I got paid because I knew my girl was sick and needed help. The receptionist told me NO and I told her I would come on Saturday then, even though I knew that was too long. She repeatedly told me they closed at noon on Saturday. So, I got paid and took my baby girl in. The doctors tried to help (thats where this place gets at least one star). However, they STILL kept telling me they closed at noon. They also told me this is a vet for "healthy" animals. What does that mean? It sounds like a scam if they dont know how to treat sick pets. So, they unhooked my baby at 11 am and had me drive her across town to another clinic. My girl died in my arms on the car. Ill never use this vet again.

Fantastic experience from "Start to Finish" They accept walk ins, it was our first time with our new puppy, (a meet and greet with the vet), and everyone was so nice, and you could tell true, caring animal lovers. The front desk welcomed our puppy and started getting his info., in just a few minutes we were back with Patrick the technician, who really took his time with our Max and getting his info., weight, checking microchip etc... Especially since Max was a rescue. Dr. Davila was in just a few minutes later and not only gave Max a thorough physical, but offered much insight and many suggestions for the care of this newest addition to the family. The entire experience was wonderful and they are so convenient with the "walk ins" and have boarding as well. Definitely a 5 star facility.
