I performed an online search trying to find a dentist that both accepted my insurance AND had good reviews.I had been a patient at a well respected dentists office in Conyers, but the dentist always seemed a bit impatient with both me and his staff. When I learned about CCFFD. I scheduled an appointment. When I saw the office, I was a bit skeptical b/c I had never been to a dentist in a shopping center. But I was PLEASANTLY surprised! The office is absolutely gorgeous and hi-tech! I fell in love with the monitors on the ceilings, and the office is much larger inside than it appears from the outside. I saw Dr. Toub, and he has an excellent bedside manner. He was very personable, caring, and fully explained every step of the procedure. He told me some signs to look for afterwards, and to call him immediately if I encountered any of those signs/side effects. Thankfully, I did not! For a subsequent visit, Dr. Toub was not available, I was a bit disappointed, but I was reassured that the dentist who was available at the time I desired was very good. She was a bit talkative, which is awkward when your mouth is WIDE open, but she was hilarious! She was very detailed, and I did not experience ANY of the pain I had felt when I visited my former dentists office (In Conyers). Again, I was so glad that I found CCFFD! The staff is exceptional as well. I was running late one day, and called to see if I needed to reschedule. The associate was very understanding, and they were able to work me in. Seeing sincere smiling faces when you enter the office, is yet another major PLUS for this office. I cant say that I look "forward" to going to the dentist (LOL), but knowing that I have to go, I would not choose any other facility.

I had to have a double extraction yesterday along with the placement of a temporary bridge (soon to be permanently placed). I have GAD and PTSD from abuse as a child and teenager so there are many things that can be triggers for me at the dentist (being confined to a space, the feeling of being limited to move, and sometimes the feeling of not being able to breathe if my nose backs up during the work since I have sinus issues especially during pollen season). I can not describe how thankful I am for the care received here and especially how AMAZING Dr. Shepheard has been. One of my triggers presented itself during the procedure (my nose backed up and I began to slightly panic because I couldnt clear my airway, Dr. Shepheard immediately recognized this, stopped and removed everything from my mouth and then gave me a minute to clear my airway and re-gather myself. He told me to just raise my hand if I needed another break at any time and reassured me that he was in no rush and I could take as many breaks as I needed (I didnt need another one but this made me feel very cared for). I felt zero pain during the extractions (lots of pressure) but I was just amazed how smooth and gentle the procedure actually was. Dr. Shepheard also called me later in the evening to check up on me on his personal phone and said to call him if I had any questions or concerns. I will never ever go anywhere else for dental work. Its been a little over 24 hours now and I am so pleased with how everything has gone and the thoroughness of after care instructions.

I am a new patient here and I will tell you something, this place is full of smiles thats for sure. From the moment I walked in I was greeted warmly by reception with you guessed it a smile. My Hygienist and her assistant where one of the highlights of my visit, I warmed up to the quickly. Hands down the coolest thing about this place is they all make you feel cared for and designed the rooms with great forethought in comfortable design. Every room has a TV that you can watch TV shows or movies on (they give you the remote, my own mother doesnt even trust me with the remote). Then as they lean you back in the chair you discover that not only was it cool to have been able to watch what you wanted while you where waiting there is a flat screen mounted on the ceiling above as well. No longer will I have to spend hours of dental procedures staring into a light reminiscent of an alien probing. Ironically my appointment was scheduled at tooth hurty (2:30) and what a coincidence thats exactly why I was there. While contemplating my upcoming root canal procedure is deeply unnerving, the staff left me with the feeling that I could trust them from the very first visit. Gotta filling I will be a long term patient here. "May the floss be with you" -Mace MintTooth

I had a bad experience with my previous dentist about a crown and needed a second opinion. During my research I found Covington Center for Family Dentistry and loved the fact they have longer hours than most dental practices AND they are open on Saturdays! This was a big plus in my book seeing as how it can sometimes be hard to get off work. All the staff on the phone and in person are friendly and informative. Unlike my previous dentist, Dr. Skeeters took her time to explain what I needed and why, and answered all my questions. The dental assistant (sorry, I do not recall your name) was very patient with my as this was the first second opinion I have done and I did not now how to go about it. Also, thank you for being patient while I changed my mind back and forth about having my crown temporarily placed. The billing staff were very helpful in explaining the financial portion of my upcoming appointment, explaining the numbers on their estimate, and explaining their financing options as my insurance would not cover what I needed done. I am so happy to have found this practice and look forward to my next appointment in the near future.

These five star reviews are from paid patients. If you leave a 5 star review they take about $50 off your visit. The estasblishment itself is nice. They have a nice set up. But the work there is poor. The staff members are very friendly and nice people. But the dentist do very poor work. I went in for a root canal and the lady who did it (endodontist) messed my tooth up so bad. When the male dentist tried to do a crown he couldnt even do it because of the poor work the female dentist did. I did get a full refund on the crown, but was out of $800 for the failed root canal. Ended up getting the tooth extracted which is what I shouldve chosen from the start. The male dentist seems to be over worked. He came into the office stressed, which gave me a bad feeling. So if you go here go in the mornings, because by afternoon the dentist will be very stressed and the work is likely to be poor in quality.

Top rate dental care. These folks are not they cheapest option but they definitely seemed the most advanced in my area. The Dr was competent and before the procedure went thru a check list with her dental assistants of needed items. The employees and Doctor all worked to make me comfortable. A+ for them. I did have an issue with the gas sedation I was given. It did not seem to work well. IMO the oxygen/nitrous mixture was miscalibrated and what I received was mostly oxygen. I trust my in future visits this issue will be resolved. I also endured a problem with foot dragging by my dental insurance company. The office manager is very professional and helped me resolve all of my insurance problems. A+ for her. Ive tried to be objective and give a honest evaluation of this dental practice. I rate it 5 stars and recommend it to my family, friends and any one that needs dental care. -Mike-
