PLEASE READ - ITS SO IMPORTANT!!!! I recently moved from Sandy Springs where I had been with my family practice center for 17 years. I found Woodstock Family practice closer to my new home: Here is where is began. I walked in hoping that I could find a new doctor. Im 50+ and looking for a permanent caring doctors office. This place is NOT it. My 1st visit - I waited in the lobby for 15 minutes with no one there (they were having a meeting in the back room) when I tried to get their attention, they closed the doors and rudely said "we will be with you when we can" - The office visit - I made a visit to the office with the fear of having problems with my Kidneys due to the severe pain that I was having. I was expecting to see a doctor, but directed to a nurse. (Karen) - She was very pleasant initially. PLEASE NOTE THIS: They took blood work and the nurse could not figure out where my veins were: Leaving there with 2 bruises on both arms - I have a very high tolerance for pain, but if you do not like needles - DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO TAKE BLOOD - the girl is sweet, but she practically admits that she really does not know what she is doing. I wish I had of taken pictures. Step 1: I left feeling like I needed a doctor, so why not them. They are 5 miles from my home. I called 4 time in 2 days and left a message for Karen (by the way, she has only been there for 2 months) sweet as ever as long as you do not need a return phone call or if you do not need her to admit that she made a mistake. Step 2: The receptionist finally called me back with my blood work: (The receptionist??) "Her Words" - You have no issues, however your IRON count is high and you need to take a vitamin B supplement. "my words - Vitamin B makes me Nausea" - "Her words" I will get Karen to call you back. Round and round we go. Final Step: The actual doctor.."Doctor Lee" - who I NEVER met calls me - the doctor that I wanted to make my permanent doctor. "HIS WORDS" - I apologize for any inconvenience. Everyone makes mistakes. The receptionist and the Nurse (Karen) misread my blood work and I have no issues and my Iron is just fine. Then he stated: "If you can not accept people making a mistake, find another doctor" Wow!! trust me - the above is word for word and step by step..I have never written a bad review about anyone or anything and I dont post my name to anything - this was such an awful experience, I do not want anyone to experience this..

Front office staff are very incompetent and no interest in helping to solve problems. I have been patient of Dr Lee for almost 10 years. I have been happy with the service I receive from him and practitioner nurses I met in his office in the exam room. However, Dr Lee has managed to hire most incompetent people for the front office over the years. I had to deal with them over the years just to keep Dr Lee. However, after my recent experience, I just refuse to be in that office any longer. Three days ago I went to the office because of ear infection. Since I will be traveling soon, it was important for me to take care of it as soon as possible. First, the front desk charged me 45 $ instead of 30$ for copay. My objection did not help. I paid 45$ to see the doctor. After I examined by the practitioner nurse, I was told hat my prescription was send to my pharmacy. The same day afternoon I went to pharmacy to pick up medication. I was told there is no prescription called in for me. I called back Dr Lees office. I was told they will call the pharmacy. The next day I went back to the pharmacy again. There was no prescription called in for me. I waited the next day and called the office again. Front desk told me she will send a massage to the nurse to send the prescription. My explanation this is urgent I will be flying in few hours did not constitute any urgency on her part. She refused to get up and talk to the nurse in the next room. Finally, while I am packing up for my travels my wife had to go to the office to make them to call in for my medication. Also, the fact that my wife took a print out of my benefits from BCBS web site indicating my copay is 30$ not 45$, was not convincing enough for them to refund me. As much as I like Dr. Lee, dealing with his staff makes it impossible for me to see him again.

Dr Lee is excellent. But I find the nurse named Monica for the blood test is not so nice. She didnt seem professional, dirty hair, long nails, and dirty mouth. She dropped one tube to the ground, then she still use it to draw blood! And she has to try 2 times to draw the blood. In the process, she kept moving the pinhead, which I remember other nurse wouldnt do that but instead keep it steady. And after she pulled out the pinhead, she didnt get a cotton wool and put it on my arm immediately, I saw blood come out, after I request it, then she take out a cotton wool very slowly, and rub the chair with the cotton wool where my arm is on, then fold it and put it on my arm.(I never seen nurse do the blood test like this! they should keep the cotton wool clean and put it on patients arm immediately!) The tape she put on my arm get loose and is useless the next second she put it on! I asked her how many tubes she needs as I saw her draw 4 tubes(usually they draw 2, I just need some explanation why she draw 4 tubes.), she said "you have plenty left, I wont drain you out". I asked again, the same answer. Isnt she really mean? She didnt seem qualify for a nurse, her license should be revoked!

While Dr. Lee is a great physician (Dr. Lee, why cant you work in a different office, for the love of God?!), the office, itself, is a disaster. Appointment times are never honored because its a walk-in clinic, as well as regular doctors office. Basically, if youre a regular patient going in for a scheduled check-up/physical/medication renewal, lets say youve an appt. at 1:00 PM, but 10 walk-ins are randomly there, you best get comfy in that germ-infested seat of yours...because those walk-ins will be seen regardless of your appt. time. Ive waited over an hour for my regular appt, which was awesome and basically the norm (my husband and I have experienced this every single time weve gone there). Tried to go in early to quickly get bloodwork done for a physical (as per their instructions, and after 55 mins, I left. Who needs labwork anyway, amirite? Dont schedule an appt. during your lunch break; just take half a day off because thats how long this whole ordeal will take. The one upside is that HGTV is always on in the waiting room, so at least you can distract yourself with granite countertops and open floorplans.
