I can understand all the great reviews; it seems like a really great place to go; friendly staff, super-competent dentist...but wait. After having x-rays and my teeth cleaned, I was told I pretty much have no issues. Then, Dr. Shakya comes in, and tells the girl who cleaned my teeth that she missed 5 "soft spots" - honestly, Dr. Shakya had to press that darn dental pick as HARD AS SHE COULD to get it to stick in two of those soft spots, making me pretty unhappy. Oh! Doom and gloom! You have to have those filled immediately before they turn into cavities!! Uh...no. Ill buckle down on my dental hygiene (as I had not seen a dentist for 3 years prior) and use a fluoride rinse. What Dr. Shakya and a lot of "new school" dentists wont tell you, is that you can correct soft spots, and you dont fill them. Old school (good) dentists will tell you that. It has been a year since I last saw her; my teeth are fine. Dont let this money-hungry quack drill your teeth to bits.

Dr Webster & his crew were excellent!!!! I went in on May 11, 2017 with a severe tooth ache. I do not have any dental insurance so I tried to go to Hunter Health & Grace Med which are suppose to be places to go for urgent dental care when you can only afford so much at a time. I was told nope can see you til Friday or Monday, there was NO way I would be able to make it that far, so I called Hillside Family Dentistry & they immediately got me in & I only had to pay what I wouldve paid at one of the other clinics. I MOST definitely would recommend them to anyone that is needing emergency dental care & is low on money. Thanks Dr Webster & Crew Sincerely, Michelle Rubalcava

Root canal is a scary thought for anybody really, but Dr. V was absolutely AMAZING!! I had to go back 3 times before this procedure was completed but they took the time to make sure I was comfortable, and at ease before just diving in! He talked me through the entire process, which is really important in trust building, and ultimately made a dull and frightening procedure kind of pleasant! I would recommend this office to ANYBODY! I have in fact! From the moment you walk into the door and are greeted by a sweet face, you just feel like everything is going to be alright! Also, Gabi is the greatest assistant! I just think so highly of the entire staff!!

Rude receptionists, very unprofessional. I had an X-Ray of my mouth done before actually seeing the dentist and the lady who took my x Ray was an old Asian lady who barley spoke English. They told me I needed all kinds of unnecessary Work done and seemed more interested in rescheduling my next appointment than anything , then charged me 50 dollars for a missed appt. Seems as though they just wanted to make as much money off of me as they could before I backed off. Should of just left instead of giving them the benefit of the doubt. Beware of this dentist..

I am a VERY nervous dental patient, always have been, but the staff here made me feel very comfortable, Nancy was my hygienist, she was very personable, knowledgeable, put me at ease immediately. She took her time and went over everything step by step. They had everything printed out in detail for me, a detail plan, insurance info as far as what was covered, etc. All I have to do is show up! I highly recommend them!

I had a great visit at the newly remodeled office. I have been going to the same place since I was a kid, and it is like a breath of fresh air walking in the door now. It was also my first meeting with the new resident dentist, Jasmine Shakya. She is very nice, and did a great job trying to get to the bottom of the pain I was experiencing. Looking forward to seeing the practice grow!

Reasonably priced and works with my insurance! I could go on and on about the place: the employees are happy and personable and the dentist (Dr. Jasmine) is amazing and very concerned about her patients pain and anxiety levels during her work. Overall, a great experience every time, even if you need to make an appointment quickly or re-schedule.

As a new patient, I was welcomed with open arms. My hygienist was Nancy and she was amazing; very warm and full of knowledge. After being scared off from a bad experience somewhere else, Hillside Family Dentistry made me feel relaxed and at home. I also brought my teenager and she was very well taken care of by everyone.

HFD was great about explaining everything and creating a dental plan that I could work with financially and time-wise. I now have an actual set of goals to get my teeth repaired and replaced. I dont feel overwhelmed anymore knowing that I will have my smile looking better than new within the next 9-12 months.

Such a great environment for all kids. :) My 4 year old had a great time and loved all the ladies there! Very clean and professional. And they send you text reminders of when your appointment is which helps tremendously for busy moms like me! So pleased with this dental establishment.
