I just wanted to let you know that I have been coming to your practice (as well as many of my friends and family) for several years now because you all are amazing! I dont live in the southend but drive out of my way frequently to bring my pets to you. I know how exceptional your practice is because I have been to many other vets in the city with foster animals through various rescues who use one vet or another and no one compares to Gailor! I love your staff, each and every one of them. I have never been disappointed. From the receptionists to the vet techs to the vets, everyone is patient and kind and compassionate! I have seen every vet (Gailor, Herre, Lackey, Renck) with all of my five personal pets. Every single one of you have been AMAZING! I never request a specific vet because I know any of you are not only competent but truly exceptional in your depth of knowledge and compassion. I was astounded tonight when I brought my most shy and fearful dog, Ringo in for an appointment. We had Dr. Lackey and she amazed me! She sat in the floor and Ringo layed down and rolled over and let her rub his belly. Totally out of character for him but he trusted her and I am grateful! I was dreading this visit with him because of his behavior in uncomfortable situations but I certainly should not have! Thank you for employing such an amazing staff and being so good to my babies!

I went to Gailor Animal hospital last Friday for a nail trim for my dogs. One of my dogs has been abused and is a biter, warned the girl and everything went fine. My other dog came from a shelter and has an unknown past. He is incredibly sweet but unsure. He did not want to go with the girl and I offered at least twice to walk him back. So they basically drug my baby back to the room (I cant believe I allowed it but I was kinda shocked) and apparently he was so terrified that he released his anal glands everywhere. (They were discussing this as they were cleaning it up). Well my mild dog must have been scared to death because he bared his teeth and had to be muzzled for the nail trim. Plz dont misunderstand... Im fine with muzzling. They did my other dog, cause he will bite. What upset me was if they would have allowed me to have walked him back he would have been a dif dog. An untraumatized dog. My MAIN complaint is that I emailed them a week ago to explain that not all animal owners who offer to walk their dog back are being over reactive. Sometimes we are just trying to help avoid trauma for pets with unknown past. THEY CARE SO MUCH... THEY DIDNT EVEN BOTHER TO RESPOND. Shame on you Gailor Animal hospital.

Had a great first experience at Gailor Animal Hospital. First, the place is laid out in a great design, ensuring that YOUR furkid wont have to share close quarters with others; lots of space. Secondly, they have wonderful ceramic tile floors for your baby to lay on while waiting, as well as benches with ample hiding room, for those who really arent too keen on seeing the Dr. While waiting, (maybe 10 min, but we were 15 min early) we enjoyed the fact that animals arent cramped up. We saw Dr Adam Herre, D.V.M. today. He was very relaxed and calming, recommending several different options. The Vet techs were awesome; I couldnt believe how quickly they got her nails trimmed!! They also came in to help hold Denim during her shots. Great!!! We had been looking for a Vet, and came here after reading the great Google reviews, then having a groomer say that was who they recommended also. This is now our Vet, & I hope that other people looking for a great Vet come here also. You will LOVE how they treat you and your baby.

I agree with Mike. Not only are they disorganized, but they arent very mannerly. The first time I walked in, all the receptionist did was stare at me. Then just ignored me. And its not like she was doing anything, she wasnt busy, she was just standing in front of her computer. Not a Hello or How can I help or anything. Finally after a few awkward moments, I said I had an appointment, and she helped me. Not once did I see a smile though. Then I called earlier today, a man answered the phone. I could not understand a single word he was saying, he was so muffled. I had to ask him to repeat things, and then he would get an attitude with me! Im definitely not impressed with the front desk people, but I must say the doctors are friendly. They made me feel comfortable and when I asked questions they took the time to answer them. Even printing me out some information to take home.

I cant say enough good things about Gailor Animal Hospital. Dr. Gailor, Dr. Lackey, and Dr. Herre are all very kind, attentive, informative, and compassionate. Dr. Gailor worked with a specialist at Metropolitan Veterinary Specialists (who I would also recommend) and together they saved my dogs life after he was misdiagnosed at his original vet. They also worked towards providing the best care while giving me financial choices that I could afford without compromising his care. The front desk staff and nurses there are just as great, they are always nice and greet me AND my dog when we come in. Since we started going there 2 years ago, I have consistently been impressed with the care he receives and recommend Gailor Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a new vet.

This is the place to take your Fur Babies! Everyone in my family takes their pets to Gailors. I have moved an hour and fourty-five minutes away from Louisville, but I make the drive because my dog is worth the best!! I love Dr. Lackey! She takes her time with me and my dog, getting on the floor with her and giving her excellent attention. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend Gailor Animal Hospital. Even when are pets have been in the sunset of their years with us, Gailors has been respectful, caring, honest and genuinely concerned for both my family and our pets. They will handle all arrangements with the dignity and respect that your fur baby deserves. Make an appointment and give them a try, you will not be disappointed!

My family and I highly recommend this place. We had a vet in the past that misdiagnosed a leg problem with our yorkie which caused it to get much worse. We decided to try Dr. Gailor instead and he diagnosed the problem right away, did the surgery, and it healed like nothing was ever wrong. We also had an appointment with Dr. Herre who also quickly diagnosed an ear issue with our yorkie and was very thorough with what we needed to do in order for it to heal. The rest of the staff was also very helpful throughout our visits when it came to instructions for post surgery. Taking our dog here was the best decision we ever made for him. If you want a vet where you can quickly get an answer and feel that your pet is in good hands, this is the place.

I switched to Gailor from another clinic because the other clinic did not take appointments. I felt like I needed more of a relationship with the vet since my dog was ten years old. I realized that he may begin to have issues. Was I glad I switched! On our first visit, Dr Gailor found Bentleys heart murmur and put him on medication and a prescription diet. It made such a difference in Bentleys energy level that I realized that this could not be a new problem, just an un-diagnosed one. Now, three years later, Bentley just turned thirteen and I know that I can attribute his still being with us to the care he has received at Gailor.
