In my opinion, we had a poor experience, lack of compassion and lack of professionalism! My parents senior dog was a long time patient. Yesterday the dog was treated for a cough and my mom was told she had fluid on her lungs. The vet scheduled more tests for next week due to no one was certified to do a sonogram. The vet gave the dog a shot and sent her home with pills at 230PM. At 6:10pm the dog passed at home. I called and left a frantic message on how this could have happened. The vet promptly called me back and chastised me because I pronounced her name wrong and kept saying well the dog was old, she was dead and these things happen. The vet could have better educated my mother on the seriousness of the illness. Or suggested going to an emergency vet since they could not provide the sonogram service that was needed. The vet insinuated my mother should have known this. We are not medical professionals, therefore education would be the right thing for the vet to do. This did not happen. The vet lacked compassion or sympathy for the issue by the way she conducted herself in an unprofessional manner and lacked a sense of urgency to ensure the best treatment. Perhaps nothing could have saved the dog, but a lack of proving options and education certainly didnt help the situation.

Weve been taking our dogs and cat to Pet Wellness Center for at least 7 years and our experiences have been great! The staff is very friendly and caring. I would recommend Dr. Lisa Twardus to anyone.
