If youre afraid of the dentist, then Avalon is the place for you. Everything about this business is clean, comfortable, and calming. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and go out of their way to make sure that your experience is the best it can possibly be. I came here for a cleaning for the first time in a while and had issues with my gums being sensitive. Not only was the dentist extremely gentle throughout the whole cleaning, he was calming and continually made it a point to see that I too was comfortable. At the end, I had a few cavities that needed filling. Both the dentist and the Office Manager sat with me after the cleaning and went over all of my options. They told me exactly what my insurance covered and what would come out of pocket. They helped me make a plan for the future dental work that made sense both timing-wise and financially. If youre looking for a new dentist, I highly recommend giving Avalon a try.

I have been going to this center for several months, and got several complicated procedures done. During this time, Dr. Ofir, Dr. Mesculin, and everyone at Avalon Dental Center was very attentive and considerate. They flagged the right teeth to focus on, and proposed a timeline that was effective. Subsequently, they followed up with me multiple times after each procedure. The procedures were done well, and the crowns look great. Also, the root canal specialist, Dr. Jacobson, inspires confidence, and seems experienced, knowledgeable and proficient. She took care of a very complicated situation for me - this was much appreciated. Finally, the details: Ben and Michael are wonderful. Staff were very transparent about pricing and explained how their rates work with my insurance. I also appreciated that Dr. Ofir and others took the time to explain important care instructions. I was so impressed by the care I received from Dr.Thankachen! She took time to explain to me exactly what she would be doing on my teeth. I needed a couple fillings and throughout the procedure she made sure I was comfortable and wasnt in any pain. She explained every single thing she was going to do before she did it. She made me feel very relaxed and at ease. She was very gentle and had an excellent bed side manner! Ive been to many dentists, but she surpasses them all. To top all this off, she had an amazing assistant, Merone. She was so gentle and careful while taking x-rays, she was amiable and very jovial. The office staff were very personable and helpful! I highly recommend this place.

Dental work was ok (I had cleaning, a few cavities filled, and a crown). However, in the SEVEN months since my visit, Avalon has been unresponsive and careless in helping me get reimbursed from my insurance company for services that I paid for, in full, up front. Between filing an erroneous claim (replacement crown vs. initial crown - which matters to insurance companies!), subsequently resubmitting documentation with the wrong date of service for said crown, and finally ignoring insurance company requests to clarify all of the above, Avalon has lost my trust. Be forewarned. And dont fall for the "10% discount if you pay up front" line like I did.

I came down with a fever and a major toothache during my trip in Cambridge. Dr. Ofir was able to see me immediately during the day, diagnosed a tooth infection, and gave me a root canal the next morning to save my tooth. He is also very willing to answer questions and make sure I understood all parts of the procedures. The people working the front desk were also great as they called my insurance company and figured out exactly how much I would need to pay for all the procedures before I came in. I would highly recommend Dr. Ofir and Avalon Dental Center.

I am someone that is petrified of the dentist. I went in because I had an unbearable pain and it turned out to be my wisdom tooth needed to be pulled out. Needles to say I was in tears and shaking uncontrollably. Dr. Ofir and his assistant Jessica were the best of he best. They took their time with me and made me feel amazing. I most definitely will be back and I recommend them 100% best dentist experience of my entire life and thats including the fact I had a tooth taken out. AMAZING doctors and staff!!

Dr. Miskulin explained everything that she did during the appointment very clearly with me. She was very cognizant of how i was feeling and did a wonderful job making me feel comfortable and well taken care of. I was concerned about costs, so she made sure to explain what was extra (i.e fluoride, nightguard, etc.) and what was not. I would definitely recommend this doctor! Even the front desk staff greeted me by my name when I came in. Everything was great! Im very happy with this office and this doctor.

Could not recommend this office any higher! Staff is very friendly, and Dr Ofir is the kindest, most patient man. He makes every patient feel like they matter and their teeth are important to him as well. My husband and I were skeptical as new patients, but after he literally held our hands through one procedure after another - we knew he was right for us! From crown replacement to Invisalign, they do it... and do it well! So glad I was referred here by my oral surgeon after getting my wisdom teeth out!

WHAT A WONDERFUL DENTIST I have been going to Dr. Ofir in Avalon Dental Center for two years and this is one dental office that is truly concerned for their patients. I recently had a root canal done and it was such a simple visit. I go regularly for teeth cleaning and just started taking my ten year old son. The staff is always so friendly.Manager Ben and the girls in reception always meet you like a friend. Dont even doubt,guys!

My worst experience ever! First messed up my claim twice for the same service... added charges for the services that were never provided... And after all these mistakes, pretended like its not a big deal! I had to follow-up many times to get it all sorted out. In a nutshell, dealing with this office has been a truly harassing experience so just want to warn others as nobody should have to suffer like this.

Dr. Ofir is first rate! My previous dentists at other practices have either been very gruff, not very nice people, or never spoke to you at all and spent as little time as possible in the room with you. Dr. Ofir, however, is the opposite! Dental visits are never very fun, but at least a friendly dentist can make it less stressful!

The dentists were highly professional and explained everything in detail before my wisdom teeth removal and really made sure I felt comfortable and understand everything from what I will experience and the cost which I really appreciated. Dont go to them!! They will have you do unnecessary procedures. They also said the FMX wasnt valid any more. (FMX Is valid for 5 years) Dont let them scam you into paying for what you dont need!! I am a experienced Dental Professional looking for a periodontist for a family member.
