After having 4 pets and making this place my Vet of choice I finally have to say this place is the worst. We adopted a small mid life dog and her teeth likely had never been cleaned. We decided to take her to Kimball and they simply said a bunch of teeth need to be removed. Because our dog also needed to be spayed and the cost was significant, the animal shelter told us to use their doctor and we could get a reduced cost. We took her there and the simply cleaned her teeth and everything was fine regarding bone structure and no disease present. Giving them one more chance I went to them this Saturday around 11am as my dog was bleeding from her rectum. This clinic, after all these years, tells me "your going to have to pay an emergency room fee because we close at 12". I proceeded to tell them about their purposeful misdiagnosis regarding her teeth and that didnt change their mind. I do understand every business is in it to make money, but it seems to me they would have simply seen her without the additional emergency room fee (you know....because they care about an animals welfare and that should be their pillar of service). By the way, the original Dr. Kimball that people seem to like hasnt been there in a while at least from the visits Ive been to.

I have been coming to Kimball Animal Hospital since May 2000 when my fiancé brought me my first puppy. Dr. Kimball is no longer practicing and the office name remains the same, the practice is very different. I took my 5 year old Shitzu Maltese and my year old cat to Kimball for annual exam, shots and heart worm and flea and tick prevarication. I walked out 1400 dollars later. I was utterly stunned. I would say under new management, the costs have doubled. Of course ALL that was given was necessary and "frankly Dr. Kimball didnt charge enough and he didnt charge for the exam" ummmm....I pondered what she was saying.....reeeally hard....Dr. Kimball was top notch. He was passionate about his work. He built a successful practice on his knowledge of small animals, his skill with working with them, his passion, his integrity and while making a living doing what he appears to know like the back of his hand, he treats you like one of the family and not like ripping you off. I paid my fee but will not continue at that practice. Speaking with Berkley, Hartrick and other local vets, what I paid was unheard of and excessive. The charm is gone from Kimball Animal Hospital....it was gone on Dr. Kimballs last day.

We have been taking our furry babies to Dr. Kimballs Animal Hospital for 20+ years. We have always had a good experience, but have had even better experiences since Dr. Jason Rivas and his staff took over the practice. They are extremely caring, very patient and always make us feel good that they are taking care of our boy, Louis. Louis is very afraid of the Vet and he is not an easy patient to deal with, but Dr. Rivas and his staff never make us feel bad about it. They show nothing but sincere empathy and care for Louis and do whatever they can do to ensure he is being attended to. Also, it is always apparent that Dr. Rivas is up on the latest medicines and procedures and is always confident in his recommendations. I would recommend Dr. Rivas(and have) and Kimball Animal Hospital to all of our "pet" friends... Dr. Rivas and his staff is wonderful!

Kimball Animal Hospital is 110% the best vet that I have visited. I used to visit a vet in Troy, but started going to see Dr. Kimball and his staff about 8 years ago per the recommendation of a family member. Every single person working there who I have come into contact with or spoken to over the phone has been incredible. Each staff person there makes you feel like they care about your pet as much as you do, it is apparent that they are all truly animal lovers. I have never once felt like a procedure, medication, treatment, etc. has been pushed on me or suggested when it wasnt needed. They have also been great at answering questions that I have had about behavioral issues, obedience training, etc. I trust these folks with my "babies" and that says it all right there.

Dr. Kimball has been very good over the years.... his staff, however, I cannot say the same. Not all of them, just a couple in particular tend to be short, uncaring and downright rude at times. Times have been very tough the last couple of years, yet people like Linda do not seem to contain the compassion gene. I am treated like a stranger... even though I have been a customer of theirs for almost 15 years! If it wasnt for Dr. Kimball, his compassion, and the fact that my pet has only known this office, I would never go there again.

After having another horrible episode with Gasow, we found Dr Kimball through Google. The reviews were full of praise, so we took a chance. I would recommend this Vet to everyone! Their kindness, patience, and obvious love of animals is wonderful. Instead of dreading another disaster and cold reception from the last place, I look forward to the appointment. Knowing my animals are well cared for makes everything just a little brighter. If you love your animals, take them here.

Kimball animal hospital does a fine job with all animals. We have brought our cats there for the last 20 years but most recently, we have a cat who needs dental cleanings 2 times a year. Dr. Hill and dr. Revas are exceptional. Both are caring and definitely know how to work with animals. The office staff and the staff who work with the doctors are trained well. I feel very comfortable leaving my pets with all of them knowing they are in good hands! Highly rated!!!!

I have been bringing my animals there for the past four years and it is truly a wonderful vet. You can tell both Dr. Kimball and Dr. G really care about what they do and it shows in the care they provide your pets. I have no idea what this lady below me is talking about because the staff, ESPECIALLY Linda is always so friendly, and COMPASSIONATE and really all go out of their way to make my visit a pleasant experience. I recommend this Vet to anyone!

The staff seem friendly, polite and kind to the animals. The place is pretty clean and tidy. But the exam rooms are so, so small. Ive never seen exam rooms that tiny. Also the exam rooms seem a bit old and worn out. The prices are decent, but its kind of out of the way for me. A friend recommended it, but I dont see much to keep me staying there other than I wouldnt have to switch vets and have to move around pet records.

18 years ago we picked up a kitten from Dr. Kimball. For eighteen years he has been the most kind and caring vet I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. Through thick and thin their staff has been extremely supportive and caring. They are always willing to go the extra mile, and I really cannot say that for any other of the 4 vets I had to visit due to after hours. Keep up the good work!
