I scheduled an appointment for travel vaccines and talked to two different staff members on the phone and they both insisted that they dont bill my insurance, instead they will bill me directly. I was surprised so I asked to talk to the manager, and my call was transferred to the head nurse who was not available. I left a voice mail but never heard back from her. When I actually visited the clinic to get my vaccines the following week, they suddenly turned into insurance experts! They insisted that I need a referral to get coverage! After more than half an hour of talking I told them to just bill me because I can just file a reimbursement claim with my insurance. In the end, it took more than two hours for me just to get in. This is not the first time I am disappointed with Oakwood. But this is the last time I will ever go to any Oakwood or Oakwood-affiliated business. Id much rather drive a whole hour to Ann Arbor or Detroit and receive good and timely service rather than wait two hours and have frustrating talks with the staff.

Emergency Dept. Staff at Oakwood Dearborn, I appreciate you for your kind compassionate care of seniors from Henry Ford Village, the home of my dear parents. Im a 30+ yr veteran ER/Trauma nurse as well, so I totally understand all the major challenges you face individually and as a team on a regular basis. My 85yr old Mother was treated there recently after a ground level fall from her wheelchair. She sustained left hand/finger fracture. Shes recovering well. Thank you from the very core of my heart of hearts. May God continue to bless you all❤️

Dr. Peralta is outstanding and the best doctor Ive had. Unfortunately dealing with the office staff is the worst experience. No one is helpful and one receptionist Bonnie is down right rude!! How are none of these receptionist accountable to customer service or satisfaction? You can tell they dont care because they treat you like you are bothering them. Someone needs to train these individuals that deal with public basic customer service skills.
